South Side Barber Shop

JC did a fantastic job on both my beard and hair and considering it was the first time I’ve been in there he was able to get it exactly right and put a modern spin on it. Definitely a cool barbershop and everyone’s having a good time in there and you can tell they really care about getting things right and making sure everything‘s even and that you’re happy with it. I definitely recommend it.

It's honestly the best shop I've been to in Pittsburgh. The prices are great and the barbers are really cool. You should definitely check them out.

Just stopped in here for the first time about 15 minutes ago. I just recently moved to the city and was hoping to find a good barber. which is something I was seriously lacking when I lived in central PA. And in my short time in the city, it looks like I’ve already found one! I love the atmosphere—good music, friendly people, and a cute puppy was hanging out in there as well. The dude cutting my hair absolutely killed it! Such a clean fade and he listened to what I wanted. I’ve got a patchy beard and some real thin hair up top, and he worked with it in a way that has got it looking better than ever. The beard lines are so spot on, and they even went over my eyebrows real quick! Not to mention the speed… I was in and out of there in no more than 20 minutes. Got nicked a little bit near the end but that just comes with the territory (I’m not gonna let that impact the best cut I’ve ever gotten). Highly recommend!

I have been here twice now! Great haircut experience you just have to be ready to rock and enjoy the atmosphere which is Very Fun! Heard some songs I love while enjoying a very relaxing and nice experience! I am over age 60 but that makes nothing difference if you enjoy people and music I will go back They did a great job on my hair and they are Fun guys and gals! Check it out!

Best Barbershop I’ve been too on the Southside of Pittsburgh!!!! The Diversity the conversations the Environment was phenomenal!!!! This is now my go to shop here in Pittsburgh!!

Just went this past Sunday hardly any barbershops saw there was like 2 open didn’t know what to expect I read reviews they said ask for Jocelyn I did but by time I got there she was busy I don’t know you could make an appointment lmao 😂 but the one guy with the glasses on the end ended up cutting my sons hair and up having the best Mohawk ever!!! Hospitality was just overall a great exsperince one day I have to get my daughters hair washed and blow dryer/straightening and my sons and I haircut we will be back sooner than later!!! 5Star

My first time being in there today and the staff was cool and respectful and the music was outstanding with a great atmosphere. Joe cut my hair just the way I wanted it, and I will return to keep it sharp and clean. A++++++

These guys turned a bad self haircut into a decent one for me, very happy I was able to find them and that they stay open on Sundays! Definitely gotta come back, the atmosphere was very chill

South side Barber Shop is not only very clean, the employees are so clean, neat and very Professional to all customers that I saw while I was waiting for my 6yr old Grandson. I rarely leave reviews, but this warranted it. Gee cut my hair when I was in a time crunch Sunday. My hair is thick and not easy to cut, but I never worried once bc I knew I was in good hands. Barber was knowledgeable, efficient and really took his time making sure I looked fresh before I left. Will be making this my regular spot and 100% recommend seeing my man Gee here next time you need a fade!

South Side Barber Shop is the same owner of the Fade Factory in North Huntington and both of these shops are the BEST! The barbers are kind, attentive and great at haircuts and shaves. I have a 21 yr old son who always goes to the South Side location and I took my 4 year old here 2½ weeks ago. It was a great experience and my boys both look awesome when they get their haircuts from here! They truly take their time and are very personable with everyone but are especially great with the littler kids! Only downside, just be prepared to wait for this great service and cut because there is usually always a wait for these guys. There's an extra fee if you want to make an appointment but it's worth it! Go see the guys at South Side Barber Shop and you won't be disappointed!

Great place. Them boys know what they're doing. Very skilled and talented barbers. And you're helping keeping them off the streets. Most of them are all ex-convicts trying to get their life back together now honest way. So whenever you need a nice haircut fade shave shampoo so I said barber shop as a spot they do it all..

My son and I went back 2 the shop 2get tightened up wit r cuts. After yrs of havin that 1 barber and then havin 2 find another iz crazy. But findin this shop after yrs of 1 and findin another cause ur old stylist retired from the shop I went 2 and then startd cuttin from his crib and then up and moved. But I'm alwayz gonna keep a fresh cut until the day I stop breathin. Found this shop and seen an old friend that I know workin here and I got my 1st cut from this shop from him. Knowin ppl iz alwayz a good thing whether itz good or bad and I know from both good and bad

I've been coming here since I've living in the city, so about 6 years.
I will go nowhere else, as long as I live here.
I have waited 2 hours in line to have these folks cut me, because they're the only ones who can shape me up properly.
I never make appointments, but if you do, it's a couple bucks more expensive than a traditional cut. Its worth it, if you're in a hurry.
Go for the straight razor shave.

PROPERLY TIP YOUR BARBER! I'm tired of seeing people hand their barber a $20 for an $18 haircut. They have an ATM on site, so theres no excuse!

Great group of guys who know what they're doing. I often get compliments on my clean lines and kempt appearance thanks to their attention to detail. They have done excellent work on my beard as well, including shaping, lines and meticulous blending.

The atmosphere is enjoyable. Everyone seems relaxed and they joke around, which puts me in a better mood as a customer. I look forward to getting my hair cut now, thanks to the experiences I've had here.

I've been to more barber shops than I can count and I'm rarely satisfied with my fade. South Side Barber Shop gets it right every single time. I haven't had a bad cut yet and I've been going here for a few years now.
