La Prima Espresso Company - Downtown

This coffee brand is literally my favorite so far. I've been to many chains and small businesses, and when they serve La Prima, I go there. The barista was amazing and fun, he answered all my annoying questions with a smile. The latte art was ON POINT. I usually add cinnamon and honey to my vanilla latte but there was no need with this one. It was perfect.

Really great small coffee shop ! I had a coffee and worked on my computer, only thing I’d recommend is comfier chairs.. but they work and that’s the most important part. Also has a bike rack right in front to lock your bikes or scooters!

Skip the chain coffee stop around the corner and come here instead! Great quality coffee that is carefully made. The macchiato is smooth and a perfect pick me up in the morning. I really enjoyed the breakfast sandwich and I'm glad I tried the ham and cheese croissant as well. Can't recommend this place enough.

I had never been to this location until this week! It is very spacious and has tons of food and drink options. The original has a simpler menu, but it was nice to try their cold brew at this location! I got a scone and cold brew with soy milk. The staff was so friendly and we chatted about the location while I was there. Great price for a 16oz cold brew - will definitely be returning next time I am downtown!

Best coffee and friendly, fast service. The latte art on my cappuccino always makes my day. Different, more modern vibe than the strip district location-both are charming in their own way. Super clean inside too.

Good convenient cafe for espresso drinks, and their pastries and to-go sandwiches are surprisingly very good! I don't expect refrigerated reheated sandwiches to be amazing, but their breakfast sandwiches and croissant sandwiches are really very good.

Fantastic espresso beverages! The employees were very friendly and quick - clean and bright atmosphere. There is indoor and outdoor seating, plenty for large parties. They also have pastries available for purchase!

This was our first trip to La Prims Espresso Company in Pittsburgh. We’ve had their brand of coffee at a local coffee shop in Beaver County.

The iced cold brew was amazing, as well as the caramel latte! If your downtown near the Strip District, be sure to stop by and check them out!

This coffee shop is bright, friendly and a must visit. It's on the quiet side of the convention center, so if you are looking to get away from the noise and craziness this is it! Coffee is great as well!

Good coffee. Close to Amtrak and Greyhound. Can take coffee and walk to river to enjoy it.

I love coffee and I love supporting local businesses. I had my first taste of La Prima coffee and I was not disappointed. I don’t typically drink cold brew coffee but the sample of Paulie’s blend that the barista let me try was fantastic. I bought a bag of beans later that day after stopping by the Gate’s location. Everyone I interacted with was helpful and friendly. La Prima will definitely be my go to for coffee beans in the future or a quick cup in my busy work day. Bonus for these being union shops!

I've been going to this cafe every morning during my pittsburgh visit. Coffee is really good and the pastries are great! Best almond croissant I've ever had! I bought two bags of coffee beans to bring back home and the staff were so nice with recommendations and letting me try out the blends.

This coffee ship was right outside the parking garage. Perfect placement, and great atmosphere. Service was tops for a coffee shop. Just ticks all the boxes with great coffee. I did not eat here.

The chai tea is always perfect, and they have an excellent selection of tea. They've also got an assortment of pastries which are delicious and have added a bunch of new sandwiches — which come in handy as I can sometimes spend hours inside relaxing. It's easily become one of my favorite spots Downtown!

Wow excellent coffee! Words don't do it justice, you have to see it yourself. Authentic Italian coffee done right, and here's a place where coffee terms are true to their definition, not the individual owner's opinion of what it should mean. Love this place. Wonderful atmosphere, stellar service - friendly, respectful, considerate. And the barista works like lightning, I was impressed. I made an order, got to work on my phone to pass the wait, and it seemed like only 2 seconds later that I looked up and the espresso was ready. Fancy, very state of the art machine they have, and the espresso is both happily very strong, my main requirement but this is inconsistent across coffee shops, and surprisingly delicious, which is hard to find for some reason in an espresso. I also ordered a milk whcih was so fresh - another unusual feature at a coffee shop. This is a gem of all gems, the place to go to for original, authentic, truly well made coffee and this is my new favorite place despite it being so far away from home (I live on the east border of PA). LaPrima Coffees are simply one of the Best fresh toasted brands you can buy. Located in the strip district of Pittsburgh, PA. I really like the organic decaf. If your visiting Pittsburgh, I highly recommend visiting.

This place was amazzzinnngg - visited from NC and so glad I talked my coworkers into visiting a delicious local shop instead of a Starbucks. Not to mention, their manager helped me locate my receipt after lost it for my expense report - again this is why I choose local over Starbucks any day.

Their iced vanilla latte hit the spot! Don't pass by this place.
