Went here for Pittsburgh Restaurant Week. Great little place!! Every bite was delicious! Great service. I recommend reservations. We arrived early and they took us. Can't wait to go back and try some more!!!

AMAZING ATMOSPHERE, delicious food, and vivacious libations! Date Night was upon us and we are extremely happy we chose Carmella’s Plates & Pints! This place has always been amazing with incredible service and the menu is always exquisite. Carmella and her staff are the nicest people and every dining experience there leaves us wanting to come back again very soon. Thank you Carmella, keep up the outstanding work, and congratulations on your 10 YEAR ANNIVERSARY!

Interesting food selections and a really unique atmosphere turned out to be a lot of fun! The staff were accommodating to our groups seating requests. The food and wine was all really good: I had the asparagus risotto and it was just delicious.

Very nice family-owned restaurant with a very unique vibe. The walls are filled with historical images and memorabilia, which gives the vibe of a very cozy cabin. The food is excellent - we had the burrata salad as starter, and the wagyu burger and the scallop pasta as mains. You can bring your own wine (corkage fee is $15) but their drinks, and especially the cocktails, are very good too. I'd definitely recommend the Manhattan. The food menu gives suggestions for what wine pairings would go well with each meal. Will definitely come back again (been there for dinner but also the brunches are also great at Carmella's)

Sunday brunch was very good. Attentive and friendly service and incredible food.
The only down side was the Bloody Mary was very thick, almost marinara consistency. Other drinks were good. No wait, clean and nice dining areas.

I stopped in here while walking in openstreetspgh. I have never been here and this place blew me away. The bar and back seating area are amazing. Beautifully decorated, I was in awe. The staff was also super friendly. Everyone asked me how my day was, I couldn't have felt more welcome. And the egg and bacon sammie was just what I needed to give me energy to finish the walk. I can't wait to revisit this place soon.

I love this place. I always get a cheeseboard and mezcal margarita. I also got a whisky sour with real egg whites! Tonight we had Asparagus Risotto with Salmon and Elk Loin with potatoes and mushrooms. Everything was great!

We couldn’t have had a better experience, or picked a better place to dine. My partner and I had our first date night in over a year and a half. Our server, Tabitha I believe, was absolutely PHENOMENAL. She is very friendly and I would have given her 100% tip if I could have. The cocktails were amazing, I had the Lovely Lady first which consisted of Strawberry Vodka, fresh sours and lemon peel. I secondly had the Strawberry Jalapeño Margarita, which is a house made infusion, and it was stunning. If you like a little heat, it’s definitely a must have. My partner had the Whiskey Sour, which was frankly the best he’s ever had, he said. Outstanding flavor. We had the Brussel sprout small plate, which had goat cheese and bacon, and a super yummy thyme malt vinegar additive as well. For an entree, we shared the Butter Poached Lobster & Shrimp which was paired with a Chardonnay risotto, with asparagus and fennel. The flavors were just…. CHEFS KISS. We finished the night with an espresso martini and the ricotta cheesecake. Which were obviously also amazing. This place is a gem!

Went here for brunch while on a Vacation from Canada. By far the best brunch I’ve ever had. I’ve been to many brunch spots but this place stands out. Good job Carmella’s, I’ll remember you for the rest of my life

I can only rave about Carmella's Plates and Pints. The décor is beautiful, the bartenders are fun and kind, and the food and drinks are more than fantastic. I am always blown away by the food when I come here. The octopus melts in your mouth and all other dishes are phenomenal as well. I recommend coming for both brunch and dinner, or just stop by for a drink and dessert. I'm always happy with my experience at Carmella's.

Tasty food and good drinks. Food was tasty and well seasoned. Good selection of beer, lots of cocktails to choose from (a variety of infused liquors) and a huge selection of whisky, bourbon, scotch and tequillas to try as well. The place has the ambiance of a centuries old inn, with huge wooden beams, taxidermy animals (giant moose heads includef), stained glass windows, and a fire in the middle of the dining area. All in all a great restaurant, would go again for sure.

So glad we stopped in for Sunday brunch. The options were awesome. The boyfriend had their bloody Mary with the pepper infused vodka and it was delicious. We did the grilled cheese crouton and tomato soup and shared the breakfast sandwich, and the gruyere shallot mayo was bomb. As was the baked potato hash. Great beer selection and the ambiance was on point. We felt like we were in a ski-town lodge with the high ceiling, the a-frame wooden beams, and the cozy fireplace in the middle. The decor was awesome. The staff friendly. Their hostess was very informative and friendly. Perfect experience. Already planning to go back for dinner!!! ☺

Incredibly delicious FOOD! Wow. Was $100 for two of us with multiple drinks an appetizer and two main dishes. Superb service. Highly recommend this place a couple times a year! Lots of parking on street and parking lot nearby. GET THERE!

Food is always delicious. You definitely can't beat the lodge like atmosphere, with the coziness of the fire and the decor.

The appetizers and main dishes were absolutely amazing. Delicious flavors and unique dishes. The bartenders, waitress, and hostess were all sweet. Carmella’s has a cozy and welcoming vibe. Would recommend!

Most incredible whiskey selection I've seen! Super rare bottles, and reasonable prices! Knowledgeable and friendly staff. Loved it!

Funky cool place. Excellent service. the cocktails were spot on and dinner was delicious. Lobster risotto was rich and dreamy and the chestnut gnocchi was comforting and delicious.

Came here because it was walking distance while we were at an occult store. Not very many people because a sports game was happening or something? Anyways, it was very good. The coffee was on point, the food was delicious.

And then the check came. Two entrees, two coffee drinks, and a side for $56? We were thrilled. Fair pricing, great service and delicious food. Highly recommend.

Wonderful spot for just about any occasion - amazing brunch and even better dinner! The service is outstanding and the food has always been top-notch - thrilled to see such a great place on East Carson Street that brings a lot of class and great food to the South Side Flats.

Excellent; the food, the drink- everything. The stock of bourbons, whiskeys and others is unbelievable. Carmella knows how to run a joint. I was in town for just 4 days and very glad I stopped here.
