Veterans' Administration Clinic - Berks County, Pennsylvania

Good staff here compared to other VA outpatient centers I’ve been too. I never seem to wait very long or anything while visiting this office.

Nice staff. Clean and organized. PCP need to be more flexible and not 110% by the books for us recovering and wounded Veterans

I've received great care from the staff here. They are friendly and personable. Always seen in reasonable amount of time.

I find the people here to be very good. They make a real effort. I see the primary provider here and go to Lebanon for specialists. Also, use this place for blood work.

The Berks VA was my first experience in the VA system. My doctor changed my medication and left me in pain. I felt like humans treat animals better. I was having a hard time getting help and was extremely frustrated at first. Nurse manager Jean came to my rescue and found out that the pharmacy was the one that made the change. My doctor was not told that I had any issues. Now I am back to feeling like my old self. If you are having issues with the Berks VA, keep asking for help though the chain of command. They will listen and want to help us veterans.

Because I didn't feel I needed the services they sent me for, I was literally pushed out with no answers to issues I had. Very rude. Lebanon Veterans Hospital is 100% better.

This one is a little less tech savvy compared to it's Lancaster counterpart. MHV messages go unread or ignored for days there, whereas Lancaster responds pretty much immediately. The ignoring of the messages, direct phone numbers linking to the main hospital, outdated extensions, and the fact that you can NEVER reach your PCP there is just appalling.. The doctors themselves are pretty good but they never actually get your messages, no matter how you send it (I have faxed, emailed, called and even sent priority mail lol). I am sure this is fine if you don't need time sensitive test results or anything, but in my case, I did. I needed those blood results for 2 other local hospital systems. They were up but no one would get back to me. So I had to go to another facility and redraw the same tests. It is a little ridiculous to be honest
