Sweet Ride Ice Cream

This place is amazing!! We don't live near here but will be going back to get their ice cream again!! We got their cotton candy ice cream with Reese's pieces as a topping and it was so good!! In waffle cones of course and they make the ice cream and waffle cones there, and you can smell the delicious cones cooking in the back!! It's a long wait, but worth it!! And the staff is nice too they'll let you try flavors!!

We had my son’s 3rd birthday party here recently and everything was amazing. The staff were friendly and helpful, the space was clean, and the ice cream was amazing. We were allowed to move around tables and hang things on the wall which is really rare when you rent a place for a party. All the guests commented on how amazing this place was. We will definitely be back and will try to have my son’s party here next year.

Amazing ice cream and water ice! Was real busy with a line out the door when we stopped but the line went extremely quick. Very friendly staff and cool atmosphere that gives the feeling of an old time ice cream shop between the decor and the outfits worn by the employees. Also, they have ice cream flights which include 2 different flavors if you're not sure what kind to get. It's a nice idea but you dont get a lot of each flavor so may not be enough if that's all you're getting. You can also request a sample while in line. Highly recommended if you're in the mood for some ice cream and looking for a cool experience with the family or on a date.

If you’re the type of person whose summer evenings always involve ice cream, you’ve got to check out Sweet Ride! Located in the cutest little shop in West Reading, this place not only has an outstanding variety of ice cream flavors, but it also has a great parlor you can sit down to enjoy your treat in. There are plenty of seats indoors as well as a few tables right outside the shop. The employees are mostly high schoolers yet their service is top-notch and they are always attentive regardless of how busy it gets some nights. One thing I always appreciated was the clean restrooms to clean up afterwards. After ordering at the counter, you’ll probably wait no more than ten minutes for your sweet treat. Whether you’re in the mood for a cup, cone, milkshake, soft serve, ice cream sandwich, or sundae, there’s plenty of options to choose from so everyone is guaranteed to find something to satisfy their sweet tooth! My go-to is the Brookie Sandwich - an ice cream sandwich of Peanut Butter Weave ice cream between a fresh baked cookie and a warm fudgy brownie.

I was craving some ice cream but unfortunately looked at the hours and noticed they had just closed.. I decided to roll the dice and risk being turned away, but lo and behold, I have discovered the Holy Grail of ice cream parlors! The customer service here is so spectacular, I half-expected a choir of angels to sing as I walked through the door! They knew exactly what to recommend when I was torn on making a decision and suggested two flavors right down my alley. (spoiler: I got both)
Special shoutout to Tesa, who served my ice cream with a smile so bright it started to melt almost instantly.😆 If you're looking for a place where the service is as sweet as the treats, look no further. I’d like to give an honorable mention to the other staff members Gia, Taylor, and Kaitlyn as well! They truly contributed to this wonderful experience. I’ll be returning! Delicious!!! I love their aesthetic indoors and outdoors. It’s super cozy and gives very 50s-60s vibes, creating a warm aura in the entire place. It’s very spacious and friendly inside. The employees are super sweet and accommodating, they do a nice job. The pricing is very average and fairly inexpensive. Would definitely recommend stopping by for a good treat!

We had Sweet Ride come to my son’s 1st birthday party and it was fantastic!! Such a big hit with everyone! The ice cream is so delicious and the service is unmatched! They are such a pleasure to work with and very reasonably priced! Going into their shop in West Reading or having them come to you for any event is always worth it!!

I visited sweet ride ice cream for the first time. A very quaint and nostalgic place in west reading. The selection and service was fantastic! The place is surprisingly very spacious inside.

Sweet Ride is a great ice cream shop and one that is worth visiting if you are in the Reading area! The prices are reasonable and I love that they let everyone (including kids) get 2 flavors! I just wish I lived closer!!!

Great place for some hand scooped fresh made ice cream. They have all kinds of handmade flavors that change weekly. Daily specials with different options like waffle Sunday and taco Tuesday in a waffle taco.

I booked the Sweet Ride Ice Cream truck for my Lancaster wedding in Nov 2022 and we absolutely loved their friendly customer service and delicious treats! The booking process, handled by Angie was simple and easy. Very nice people to work with. The ice cream truck showed up on time and all of my guests were excited to grab a cone or dish. Everyone raved about how delicious each flavor was...the seasonal favorite being salted caramel! I cannot recommend this company enough for anyone planning their wedding and looking for a dessert food truck.

DELICIOUS ice-creams in myriad flavours. Very reasonable prices ($ 4.75, 5.75, 6.75 for Small, Medium, Large sizes). The "Jack Skellington Christmas" flavour ice cream was AMAZING!
Must visit if you're in the area.

Absolutely loved this unique ice cream shop in Wyomissing, PA. The owner Angela went to extreme detail to make this place very memorable and unique. She bought an orginal 1946 soda fountain machine that just sets this apart from the norm shops you will find. This place is the first ice cream shop in America so far in my travels this year in 38 states that has gluten free sugar cones. Plus, many gluten free options that is very rare find. Thank you Angela for such a great place and yummy ice cream experience. 🤗

I wish I could give this place more stars! Great atmosphere, makes you feel like you're at an old school ice cream shop. The ice cream is delicious and the service was superb!! They even bring the ice cream to your table! Plenty of places to sit.

I've been here a few times and each time it's been a great experience! There are lots of flavors to choose from and even come with sugar free options. They have lots of tables available inside and the prices are better than you'd see in some other shops. I definitely recommend stopping by here!

Each year, I try to do something different to celebrate my mother’s birthday….and knowing she’s 96 it’s difficult to come up with new ideas. To celebrate my mom’s birthday this year, I decided to throw her an old-fashioned ice cream social for 100 of her neighbors and friends. I knew the success of this party depended on finding an ice cream truck that could provide the quality and service I required. Fortunately, I found Sweet Ride Ice Cream out of West Reading, PA.

I’m 60 years old and my background is in the food service industry – I have two degrees from Johnson & Wales University and at one point in my career I was the Food Service Director for the United Nations in Nairobi, Kenya. When it comes to booking anything food service related, I have very high standards and expectations. And when it comes to writing these kind of reviews, I’ll be the first one to give a very poor review if expectations were not met but the first one to give a glowing review when they are. In this case, it’s glowing!

Start to finish, working with Sweet Ride Ice Cream to book, plan and execute this event was flawless. I wanted my own menu – no problem; I wanted servers to take guests’ orders – no problem; and I wanted an early set-up and late finish – no problem.

Sweet Ride Ice Cream was the highlight of the party! The staff - each staff member truly made each guest feel so welcomed…a great example of old school hospitality that has become a lost art. The ice cream – everyone loved it…especially the custom banana splits (every combination imaginable was served). The cleanliness – these people didn’t fool around…all glass and stainless steel was polished prior to service - not a single spot or speck anywhere. The promptness – on time and ready to go when the first guests arrived.

Kudos to the entire staff of Sweet Ride Ice Cream for making this event truly special! Knowing the success of this event, I have already booked Sweet Ride Ice Cream for my mom’s 97th birthday next July 2020.
