Smokey Bones North Wales

I again recently had the pleasure of dining at the barbecue and sports bar restaurant located at the entrance of the Montgomery Mall in North Wales, Pennsylvania, and let me tell you, it was an experience like no other! The location of the restaurant is incredibly convenient, with easy access and ample parking available right outside the mall. I loved being able to combine my meal with a shopping trip or other activities at the mall. Plus, with the Wegmans supermarket right next door, it's the perfect spot to grab a bite to eat after a grocery run.

As soon as I walked in, I was blown away by the restaurant's design and atmosphere. It had a traditional yet modern colorful high-energy feel that immediately put me in a great mood. The attentive staff made me feel right at home, and I loved that there were seating options both inside and outside. The bar area was especially impressive, with high definition screens and a complete selection of beers and liquors, including creative drinks that were absolutely delicious.

Now let's talk about the food. The menu had a broad range of barbecue-inspired dishes, from salads and soups to sandwiches and meats. But what really caught my eye was the small portable barbecue topped with a selection of BBQ favorites that can feed groups people! It was such a unique and fun way to enjoy a meal with my family. But even if you're dining with just one other person, the menu has plenty of options to choose from, like the picture-perfect two-person meal I had. The food was tasty and fresh, with a good selection of sauces to choose from. And to top it all off, they had fresh donuts for dessert!

Overall, I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for a fun and delicious dining experience. It's perfect for family groups or even just grabbing a drink and watching a game with friends. And unlike some family restaurants, this location has an adult feel for those who want a more mature atmosphere. It strikes a nice balance between family-friendly and adult-oriented, making it a great spot for everyone. I recommend it without hesitation!

We have been coming to this Smokey Bones since they opened and have seen the ups and downs. Coming out of COVID we saw a lot of our favorite restaurants struggle, including this one, but there has been a major effort made to bring back that great experience and we had that today after some months away. The staff was very friendly, our waiter was excellent, and the quality of the food was outstanding! We were very impressed and are happy to see one of our favorite spots hitting all the marks again. Will gladly return!

Ask for Hunter!!! He will make your visit very enjoyable!! If he isn't available, Christina will serve you up right - she extended an appreciated helping hand!!

We had the BONFIRE for 4, yes it was plenty to take home & enjoy again!! Fresh coffee & donuts were recommended to top off the meal....yum!! Don't hesitate!

Always have such an amazing time every time I come to dine here whether it is with my significant other, family or friends. Brandon is a fantastic server! He is so personable and remembers my kids names and interacts with them. He recommends good food and drinks. Everything we have ever ordered has been phenomenal!!

Ok, so for a little spot near the mall Smokey bones was absolutely delicious. I did not expect the amount of food, the taste and quality to just check ALL of my boxes. The wings were delicious and flavorful, you need to get the smoked wings obviously! But the NACHOS were a star for us. Pulled pork, chicken and just everything else nachos should have on them and we did not leave a CRUMB of these so I don’t even have pictures! 😅 well seasoned food, reasonable prices and great quality. The drinks were great as well. I had a blackberry bourbon drink that was so delicious and pretty STRONG but.. I am not a big drinker so it may have just taken me out lol. Service was great at the bar as well, no issues or complaints here! Highly recommend for these nachos and the smoked wings, you’ve gotta try it!

Let’s start with the star of the show - the loaded nachos. They were an explosion of flavors and textures, perfectly layered with cheese, jalapeños, guacamole, sour cream, and fresh salsa. Every bite was a burst of deliciousness, and the portion size was generous, making it perfect for sharing (or indulging solo!).

Next up were the wings, and oh my, they were heavenly! Cooked to perfection with just the right amount of crispiness, and the sauces were on point. Whether you prefer tangy BBQ, spicy buffalo, or something in between, Smokey Bones has you covered. Pair them with a side of ranch or blue cheese dressing, and you’re in for a treat.

What truly impressed me, though, was the impeccable customer service. I had a slightly complicated order due to dietary restrictions, and the employees were incredibly patient and accommodating. They ensured that my meal was prepared exactly as I requested, without any hesitation or inconvenience.

Overall, Smokey Bones exceeded my expectations with their delicious food and outstanding customer service. I highly recommend trying their loaded nachos, wings, and any other dish that catches your eye. You won’t be disappointed!

The food is delicious. However my chicken was cold and so was Mac and cheese. Bean were still hot tho. Food was super flavorful

We had a great visit at Smokey Bones! The food was very tasty, although the pulled pork was a bit dry. My drink was delicious! The desserts, including apple cobbler and the chocolate cake were great, especially the chocolate cake, which was out of this world. Most importantly, our waiter was absolutely top notch!!!

I had a wonderful experience. There was this manager who came over to make sure everything was good his name was Rudy. I have never met someone who was so kind. He was definitely a big part of me already looking forward to going back.

This was my first time coming to this restaurant. Everything was delicious, wasn't to fond of the banana pudding, but the drinks made up for it. They offer corn bread for a appetizer.....I HIGHLY RECOMMEND TO GET IT and the fried pickles ⭐⭐ Our server SIONHAN was Excellent ⭐⭐⭐⭐. I WILL DEFINITELY COME BACK ‼

I love Smokey Bones… One of my faves to go to. Glen the regional manager is so patient.friendly and accommodating. Excellent Customer Skills The food is Amazing. Just had my mom’s 75th birthday party there, it was Awesome. Thank you Smokey Bones for awesome experience.

I must admit that this location looks quite great. I have visited a few of their locations. I'm in my early sixties, and I can assure you that this is the ideal location for everyone. excellent location for young married couples to socialize. The beer menu and the rest of the bar are excellent, and there is outside seating and disability accessibility everywhere. There are also plenty of tables, lovely décor, TVs, and a wonderful staff. When I placed my order for the Smokey Bone sampling, everything arrived fast, was hot, and looked wonderful, but there wasn't a lot of food. They stated that it would serve 1-4 people, but it is only a small sampler meant for a snack.

Stopped in for a quick lunch. I had the ribs and my wife had the wings, our food was good. The server was nice and atmosphere is pretty cool. Overall experience was pleasant.

First time at Smokey Bones. Friend told me it was great, they were not wrong! Smoked wings were phenomenal! My server Brandon was great, super knowledgeable of the menu. Definitely coming back..

I was expecting an average date night for my wife and i but im shocked with what i had. The menu is a nice size, not over the top or anything. I'm a big fan of Banana Pudding and this didn't disappoint at all. It's been a while since i had some good ribs and can easily make them at how but man, these was SOOO good.
Nothing crazy about the service, it wasn't bad at all.

What a wonderful discovery this restaurant was! We had planned to go shopping next door at Wegmans, but I saw it as we drove in and thought, "Dinner!" I'm glad I did.
The service, and our server, Hunter, were both excellent. We really enjoyed talking with him and joking with him as we ordered. He let us know that our food might be delayed a little bit, and then checked with us a time or two during the meal, to see that all was well.
I had the signature barbecue burger, and it was cooked just as I like it, and it was delicious; my wife had the boneless chicken wings, with a side of sweet potato fries. Both dinners were excellent 💯.
We're not only looking forward to coming back for another meal, we're hoping to see Hunter again, because it was so good to be served by him.

Nice portions and the food was delicious. The fried pickles were a nice starter. The pulled pork was tender and tasty, especially with the Chipotle sauce. The only drawback was that the floor was very sticky.
***Update: the daily happy hour is really good. They have nice-priced finger foods.

AMAZING experience. We had Brandon as a server and they were absolutely amazing, great attitude. Made us feel welcome and helped us laugh during the meal. Amazing food and good serving sizes. 100/10 recommend and if you can get Brandon as a server it’s an added bonus.

Taking a break from Christmas shopping we decided to stop into Smokey Bones. Max was a super awesome bartender/server.
Very friendly and attentive. Fun to joke around with. Joel was fantastic and Siobhan is an excellent manager- also both would check to make sure our experience at Smokey Bones was excellent. Merry Christmas!

Greeted warmly. Very short wait for our server. Nice quiet atmosphere. We got the sampler. HUGE plate. Had the sliced chicken breast w/upgrade side(cinnamon apples). Worth the upcharge. Hubby got the ribs & bbq baked beans. Very good. Went for the bbq & burbon. Was not disappointed!
