Absolutely delicious food with very attentive and polite hospitality. I would strongly recommend their crispy duck with the apricot-plum sauce for an entree. They also make seriously some of the best onion rings I've ever tried, so you cannot go wrong with a plate of that.
The restaurant itself is very cozy, clean, and aesthetic. The main dining area has a large glass wall facing the river so the view is incredibly pretty and relaxing. I thoroughly enjoyed my experience here and certainly plan on revisiting!

Incredible.
Food, service, ambience.
No, George Washington did not eat there, the Torreys owned the place, they told George to hit the road. Denied him entrance, but you can stand in the doorway where he was told " No soup for you"! It's old, historical and right smack on the canal and the river.
Fabulous views....
Easy 5 stars. Get the Salmon. Say Hi to Sue!!

We visited on New Years Day for brunch. Our hosts were friendly and attentive! Three courses at a fixed price with many options. I especially liked the Filet Mignon and eggs! My wife had crab cakes! The deserts were to die for too! Our hosts were also very friendly and attentive in this beautiful historic Inn!

If you need to let you stomach settle after a meal you can go outside and walk on pedestrian bridge across the beautiful Delaware River!

Went here for my birthday dinner. Service was impeccable and the food is always on point. I always go here anytime I can. From the ambiance, the service, and the attentiveness of the hosts is definitely worth the drive. I had their Halibut special and it was amazing. Their tavern makes some incredible drinks also. Becky was a very nice and accommodating host. I highly recommend this place to anyone that just enjoys real food and some relaxation.

My wife and I have enjoyed lunch at the Black Bass on two occasions. We are also involved in the planning for a family member wedding later this month.
We cannot rate the rooms just yet but will be able to update this review later. For now let me say that everything about the Black Bass is exceptional.
Parking across the street couldn't be easier. The valets are friendly and helpful and there is space galore for all the cars.
The location, on the river, with magnificent views of the Delaware couldn't be better.
Everyone involved with your visit exceeds all expectations. From the host, to the waitstaff, and especially to the event planner, Fiona. They all add to the overall charm and old world civility so missing in our rushed society.
Our lunches have been delicious. Each item cooked to perfection leaving us with wanting to return for other selections. We're looking forward to the wedding to enjoy not only a family celebration, but also to enjoy the company of all the folks at The Black Bass that will have helped to make it a memorable day.
Many restaurants and hotels would do well to visit The Black Bass for a sample of how to treat their guests as valuable customers.

An update to the above. The wedding was yesterday and it couldn't have been better. Every single item, no matter how minor or how important was attended to in a seamless and exacting manner. All the meals, regardless of selection, were brought to the tables at the same time. All of our guests enjoyed their meals, the included wines and liquors, and the service, which was friendly and efficient.

Several of our guests stayed in the rooms after the wedding and all I can say is that they are magnificent. The panoramic views of the Delaware River from the full length windows in each of the rooms is amazing. The rooms are beautifully decorated, warm, inviting, and large.

To sum up I have to say that if you are in the area for any reason, you'll be missing a rare treat not to stop by the Black Bass Inn for whatever your need might be. Lunch, dinner, a party, or an intimate wedding. Everything will exceed your expectations.

We were guests at the restaurant on Thursday, 11/30. My sisters and I decided to have dinner there first before attending a show at Bucks County Playhouse. Jodi was our server and we were also cared for by a very attentive young man named Travis. Jodi was an exceptional Server! She was spot on with all of her recommendations. The ambiance, food, and overall experience were amazing. Thank you for a terrific night out. We never felt rushed and made the show in plenty of time. We are looking forward to going back soon.

This place was amazing, I went there for the historic value and atmosphere. But saw and smelt some of the best food I've seen in the area. The place was packed, but that's not always a bad thing. Plenty of parking across the street. I can't wait to go back.

A classic colonial Era hotel that offers a certain charm and unique experience along the Delaware River. The rooms are beautifully decorated and very clean. The restaurant offers great service, delicious menu options, and a view that will leave a lasting impression. Also, enjoy a cozy bar with some very tasty cocktails and enough visually pleasing details to make it an interesting place to spend some time.

We had the pleasure of dining at your restaurant Thursday evening before a show at the Bucks County Playhouse. Our server Jodi was OUTSTANDING! She helped by making excellent recommendations and providing amazing service throughout our entire meal experience. The food and beverages were also delicious. Highly recommend.

The Black Bass was the perfect location for a group of 9 friends in a private room to celebrate a birthday event! The view of the Delaware River and ambiance with hand painted murals and the fine meal and service gave us a special memory. I look forward to my next event at their establishment.

We did not stay at the hotel, but dined in the restaurant.

Fantastic dining experience! We arrived on a Friday evening for our 7:30 reservations which, turns out, I made for the wrong night! Totally my fault but the hostess was very gracious and pleasant. Within a few minutes we had a lovely set table for four and were attended to by our server who provided wonderful service and suggestions throughout the night.

Our pre-dinner cocktails were interesting and really good! All four dinners (a Barramundi special, a hanger steak special, and 2 rack of lamb meals) were all beautifully plated and absolutely delicious. We were all too full for dessert, however I'm sure would have been on par as well.

This was dinner for a special birthday celebration. We were well treated, not rushed at all even though we were basically a walk-in and felt like welcomed guests! At the end of the evening I was handed an envelope with a hand-written Black Bass note card with Happy Birthday wishes!

The Black Bass had been a family favorite but we hadn't been back in a few years. It did not disappoint! I highly recommend this restaurant, which is in a beautiful setting on the Delaware river. It's a special place for a wonderful meal and especially to celebrate a special occasion!

We celebrated Thxg here, while enjoying a lovely day out of the city! Great service, yummy food, a view of the river, followed by enjoying the outdoor fire pits after nightfall. We look forward to our next visit!

Can't say enough good things about this restaurant! Great food, atmosphere, and service. I am recovering from a surgery and it made my week so much nicer. Ps the door to the restroom is difficult to maneuver with a walker.

We had our wedding at the Black Bass Hotel and it was absolutely wonderful! The beautiful ceremony location captures everything you want for an intimate exchange of vows and the views from the canal room and deck are simply unmatched for the reception.

Fiona is a top-notch event coordinator and we can't say enough great things about her and the rest of the staff at Black Bass.

We definitely recommend checking out the Black Bass Hotel if you are planning a wedding or other special event.

Thank you Fiona and Black Bass for making our day so special!

We ate dinner at the Black Bass Hotel, after hearing many mixed reviews. And i have to say …. IGNORE ANY BAD REVIEW! The food was exceptional, definitely on the expensive side but it was worth every penny. The drinks were good, nothing to write home about but they were still good, no complaints there. The crispy pork belly appetizer is a must try. Our service was phenomenal. The staff was accommodating and friendly. We ate outside in the rain (a total vibe lol) and they put the awning over and opened the doors in case the rain was too hard, but we still would’ve been able to sit by the open door and enjoy the rain. I would definitely go here again, we even booked a room for the future and can’t wait to stay the night!

Attended a wedding here and the staff were amazing. Food and beverage service had a good selection which included the choice of salads along with the entree. Seating for around 80 guests was downstairs in two adjoining rooms and outside on the patio. There was additional room outside for socializing and some weeding entertainment. Linen table service was impeccable following the fine dining style available in the main dining room upstairs. There is also a slightly more casual bar on the main floor. Complimentary valet parking service.
The view immediately on the Delaware River and canal was spectacular. The hotel is immediately adjacent to the Lumberville walking bridge to Bull Island on the New Jersey side and there are a historic canal Lock and then a Wing dam north of that.
We didn't stay the night.

Had the swordfish as the main dish and the onion rings to start. Both were excellent. Professional staff and wow, what a view!

Amazing venue for a small wedding. Overlooked the changing leaves and flowing waters. Building is nestled in the hills of bucks with a historical building from 1724. Hotel is known for turning general Washington away for a night stay. Keep your eyes open, you might see a ghost of a red coat
