The girl when you first walk in seemed a little cocky and said "What can I do for you?" I thought that was weird. Never heard that before. Our waitress, Casey was very nice and helpful. The food was good. I got a double Jameson on the rocks and it was only $13.50 which was a nice surprise because at other places it's about $18.00.
I'll be back.

First time and must say best place for food quality and quantity, along with drinks not to strong and not to sweet just right.. came here to celebrate my husbands bday and it was a good experience I would come again and recommend this place to all my family and friends!!! Thank u Ashley

First off yummmy!!!! Second I love this place I i wish I lived closer !!! So happy I finally stopped !! I drive past here a lot for work and was finally in the area to stop and eat ! The Caesar salad was phenomenal! The French onion soup fabulous! The Mac and cheese ooooo so goood !!!! My server was super helpful I asked what she recommended and she went over the menu with and I came in around 835 didn’t feel rushed at all! I will recommend this place to all my friends! And 59 is my lucky number !!!! So I had to go!!! This is the place to be ! I will definitely be back with my husband! JEN was amazing !!!! She went above and beyond!!!! She gave me a tour of the place she was so sweet !!! I will definitely be back !!!! Happy Holidays!!!

The food was delicious, parking was a little rough, but I got a spot in the main lot. Overall it was a good Valentine experience.

The biggest negative was that we only saw our waiter a couple times. If you didn't ask for something when food was delivered nobody was coming back. We saw the waiter when we ordered our app and drinks, then when the app came out and we placed our order, we didn't see him again until the food was brought out, finally we had finished our meal before he came back again. We were regularly without a drink, I'm not even talking about alcohol, water and soda. He was really nice and polite, I'm sure it's just too many people to 1 waiter.

I would recommend this location and will be back to try more of the menu.

Pleasantly surprised! Met friends for an impromptu lunch on a Saturday afternoon. Service was excellent and food was delicious. Food presentation was exceptionally well done. Had a martini from the bar and it was well made. For lunch I had the brisket sandwich and it was phenomenal. Highly recommend the fried calamari and the spinach and artichoke dip. Great meal and reasonable prices. Enjoy!

Great food and attentive service! I've been to 59 Almshouse many times, but recently had the pleasure of hosting a networking event in their back room. The appetizers we ordered were fantastic, well-prepared, and thoughtfully presented. The room was perfect for our event, and the servers kept everyone's glass full and drink tab separate. It was great, and I highly recommend. Photos are from our networking event!

Outstanding swordfish special with grilled vegetables! We also ordered chicken marsala, jambalaya, and bacon cheeseburger with sweet potato fries. Generous portions for everything. Friendly service. Better to make reservations for dinner if you have time constraints or more than 4 in your party. But we made a last minute weekday dinner decision and only waited a short time for a table of 4.

My husband and I live locally and always enjoy eating at this restaurant. My only complaint is that it’s so incredibly busy that even when making a reservation, you will wait still to be seated. The food is always great, the staff wonderful and the atmosphere is fun! I unfortunately have to eat gluten free and although the menu doesn’t l have GF next to the menu items, there is still plenty selections to choose from. This is the only restaurant that has a gluten free dessert option. Always leave full and happy!

Beautiful place, good food. We sat near a door to the outside that was constantly opening and closing and made our table absolutely freezing which really sucked and the tables were a little small even for 2 people.

I stopped in and sat at the bar for food and drinks, at first I was a little nervous about the environment being one of the youngest there haha but the staff was so nice and made me feel so comfortable! Food and drinks were delicious and will definitely stop by again :)

The food is of excellent quality and value. Very yummy! The ambience is great, too. I have been here with family for lunch and I have been here on a dinner date. It is great for either! Great service, too. I would highly recommend 59 Almshouse to anyone.

Bangin shrimp and calamari were delish.

I had ordered the sticky rice bowl because the server recommended that a lot of people order however I was probably the 1 out of 100 that didn’t like it at all. Rice was good but not a veggie person so was my mistake not to go with my gut. But our server was the sweetest ever and even though I didn’t complain because I felt bad to she saw I barely ate and made sure I was ok and wanted anything else. She even had it removed off the bill. For that- I am grateful for her kindness. ❤ I would eat here again and try a burger next time. My hubs got the burger and the frizzled onions are awesome. If the burger had BBQ it’d be a home run. But I can ask for that next time 😊.

I've been here for lunch, dinner, and with a group of seven. The service has been great each time. They're attentive and friendly to all guests. The bar is top- notch and with great presentation. The food is prepared as asked and is delicious every time. Come hungry because even the shellfish soup will leave you full.
Parking is free, and it can get a bit full.

Four of us had lunch. We ordered a chicken sandwich, french onion soup, a flatbread, and spinach artichoke dip. All the food was good, the portions were generous, the presentation was attractive, and the service was excellent.The check, without beverages, was 59.00.

Fantastic food and drink specials at 59 almshouse. We ordered the lamb chops for the appetizer, which was great. For dinner, we got the strip steak and pumpkin ravioli, also really good. I'd highly recommend this restaurant

We had an amazing lunch. The mediterranean salad, California flat bread, and spinach dip were all fantastic.
Laura is a great server. She was so nice and very thorough. She helped with some choices.
The bartender was funny, nice, and makes one heck of a bloody Mary.
He sings a good supertramp song, too.
We enjoyed walking in until leaving.
Thanks for a great meal and terrific experience.
We will definitely be back and tell everyone how great you all are.

Love this place. Very inventive cocktails, versatile beer list. And dishes that are a step up from others. The lay out is of the restaurant different as well. My favorite space is the patio . Fast forward past the pandemic...
We have been here a few more times. Still love the Blood orange cosmos. The food is constantly great especially the ABC toast! It should be a controlled substance!

Great drinks served by Larry and food is phenomenal! Love this place. Try the ABC Toast! Chicken Ceasar salad was yummy!! Everything is always good here!
