Drove by on a Sunday night, saw lights on, so I stopped in. They'd been closed for almost three hours, but the owner unlocked the door and invited me in. He showed me a couple of practice amps, and I walked out with a new Fender Mustang for a good price. Thanks!

I started taking my Jag-Stang there to have it set up and fixed up. He does an amazing job with setups/intonation. Ray is extremely knowledgeable and goes above and beyond with everything. My guitars are setup perfectly. It's a great shop, I love the atmosphere and the small business. It's a dying thing. I liked going in there so much, I fell in love with this guitar and had to pick it up. Amazing prices! He even set it up for me for free. Highly recommended.

Had a mandolin restored and repaired here; expertly done! Sounds great, looks great. I highly recommend Music Haven for all your stringed instrument needs.

The owner, Ray, is very friendly and professional to work with. I brought my Telecaster here for a warranty repair, and he did a great job replacing the nut and the pickguard. The turnaround time on the repair was reasonable, considering he had to wait quite a while for the replacement parts to arrive from Fender. He also takes his time with the repair to make sure the guitar is perfect before handing it back to the customer. Thanks, Ray!

Pretty sure it's the oldest music store (2nd loc.)in Jtiwn, family owned since the 50's. One of those places where you may have to dig a bit to get to the vintage goodies, or not because they also stay somewhat current and carry Fender amps, ax's,PA sys. accessories also has a nice stock of replacement parts, pedals, etc.
The owner Ray 2nd gen. has been around his whole life and knowledgeable about everything to help any situation you may need help with. They've wl always had decent techs for repairs and from my memory have delivered a quality working end result. Said it B4 theres just nice stuff, nee & old all around,& you can pick up and plug in without feeling awkward.Nice folks. Great music store, not sure if they still have available teachers for lessons anymore tho.

Owner is a real person, honest. He is polite. His genuine nature makes you want to buy.

I've gotten the opportunity to get to know the owner over my 13-14 years shopping and doing business at Music Haven. I've bought and sold instruments there and have nothing but great things to say. Great prices, special orders are a breeze and I do recommend this establishment to any and all musician's I come in contact with. Very trustworthy and reputable.

Ive bought my last two guitars from this store. The owner is a great guy, very personable and always willing to stop what hes doing to chat and to help you out with whatever you need. Mostly deals with fender guitars but has a nice small inventory of different guitars and amplifiers. A great place to be.

I took my Dads 60 year old Harmony guitar in to be repaired. The neck was pulling away from the body. It had sat in my closet for 15 years that way. For $50.00 they not only fixed it but cleaned it all up and replaced the strings and had it done in a week! I was so happy! Ray was great and helped me decide on a Fender acoustic guitar for my daughter for Christmas. Such a nice sound on an entry level guitar! I went back and bought a Tenor Ukulele for my oldest daughter who already plays guitar. He tunes everything up and checks the box to make sure everything is there before you take it and was so patient with all my been questions! She has already picked it up and is playing songs on it.

Its a small shop, but a great place. The manager is a very welcoming person, will always continue stopping in.

It’s no guitar center, but you won’t regret going. I have bought a bunch of stuff there and the gentleman who works there (there might be more but I’ve only ever met the one guy) is extremely helpful and knowledgeable. There is a limited selection of instruments and equipment but what they do have is mostly all good stuff. The great customer service and convenience of being nearby my school is what keeps me going back. Good gear for starters and they have some high-end stuff as well. Everything is reasonably priced and most of the time, he will give me some sort of a deal. (Depends on what you buy probably). I really hope guitar center and amazon don’t run little shops like this into the ground.

Not the biggest selection, but the owner more than made up for that with his kind and helpful demeanor. Perfect for a small town locally owned music store. Absolutely reccomend.

Always a pleasure to go through the doors of Music Haven. Three generations of my family starting with my dad have dealt with this great establishment and soon to be four with my grandkids that are about to begin their wonderful pursuit in music that runs through our blood . If Ray doesn't have it? He'll do EVERYTHING he can to get it. And such a pleasure to talk with. Very personable and listening to your needs instead of trying to push something on you that you don't need. Also tops in instrument set ups and fixes along with electronic fixes. Excellent store with great staff. They have a good inventory, and can handle any of your technical needs. Very welcoming, not intimidating to inexperienced shoppers. I stop in every time I'm in Johnstown.

I get good advice; I've had satisfactory repair experience and a satisfactory experience in ordering in the past. I'm looking forward to getting my first electric guitar from here!

Husband was very happy. My suggestion is that you could have a husband hangout once a week or so. Wives would be thrilled and more business for you. Just a thought.
