Dad’s Garage Grill & Burger House

Went to Dad’s Garage on Sunday and the food was simply sublime. I ordered the Memphis Burger and some buttermilk pancakes. I like a good medium rare burger and this burger was cooked perfectly. The pancakes were great as well, but I cannot express well enough how good that burger was. The prices were very reasonable as well. I will be coming here again!

What a great little restaurant ! It needs to be featured on a TV show. Great burgers and fries. You will not leave hungry.

little place to stop in. Nichole greeted me and smiled, even though the place was full and she was on her own.

Ordered the patty melt with fries. The food came out hot and fresh, the fries crispy, and the bread was not soggy as sometimes happens.

Quality was great, but quantity was also great. Just enough to fill you up without causing a food coma. The price was pretty fair, much less than what you would see at a chain restaurant.

Overall, great place and I will return often.

Always have good service here at Dad's Garage. It's become our go to breakfast stop. The food is reasonably priced, the staff are always super friendly. The parking is a cluster but that's a minor issue. Park in the lot farthest away and go down the alley when leaving for less stress.

We were looking for a burger late on Sunday. (not so easy) I told my wife I've always wanted to try here. They were open. I got the Dad's Garage with a Vegas Fries upgrade. I kind of misunderstood what size a 5oz burger was and what it would look like with two. This is the first time I have ever tried to eat a burger I couldn't fit in my mouth to bite on. It was glorious. The Vegas Fries were great. The fries themselves were not to great to look at. I chalked this up to it being almost closing time. They still tasted good. My wife got a burger with Mac and cheese on it. She had to cut hers in half and some got on her fries. I got that part. She said it had at least two different cheeses in it and she thought they might have made it in-house. If I get a chance to go back, I'll get a single, hehe.

Service was excellent and there was no rush to get us out.

I'm excited to try their fried chicken! I had a burger when I was there last time. Would absolutely recommend!

Was around the area to visit a friend and stoped by for dinner and boy I’m so happy I came here food was so delicious burgers were so flavorful and juice. Service was outstanding really friendly and they really made you feel so welcome. Over all it’s a most try every meal is made fresh and really good quality.

Dad’s Garage has been a “Go To” in Mechanicsburg for great Burgers for quite a while. Someone recently mentioned it was a great place to go for breakfast, so I had to check it out. Now I know Dad’s Garage is a great “go to” for breakfast… I especially liked the omelette pictured.

This place came up when we were looking for good restaurants in the area and this popped up. So glad it did because the food was amazing, the atmosphere was very relaxing and overall the place was so clean! Definitely will revisit when we come back for next years car show!

Like the great reruns of Ron Howard in Happy Days, we will make Dad's a regular stop when we visit nearby Messiah University. There are many chain restaurants within 20 miles, but nobody wants to pay the high prices and wait 30 minutes for a seat. Dad's has everything I want for a great old-time, simple, QUICK meal to eat in or take out. A classic diner look and feel is just a part of the experience. No waiting! Run by father and daughter and a super Lavern-like waitress. With a low-priced menu of all the favorites I should try to avoid. Skip the Downtown Burger. I'm sure it's great, but they made me a new sandwich, a Route 66. A GIANT slab of fried chicken filet, mac-n-cheese, bacon, and joy on a bun! The homemade chips are like a step back in time. Just great. My girls had quesadillas and cheesy fries but the whole menu, Chilli dogs, shakes, many burgers are sure to have you wanting to join the family.

Stopped by this place today as our family was passing through, and it was honestly some of the best grill house food we've had.
My chili dog was perfectly crispy on the outside, juicy on the inside, and the gravy fries with cheese were really good too. My fiances burger was cooked perfectly how he likes it, super juicy but not overly greasy, and their fries are so good without anything added to them.
Our daughter loved her fries and grilled cheese.
Even the fountain soda was better than most places. The server was wonderful, even when another customer was very clearly annoying all of us, and being slighty ignorant, and the atmosphere is so friendly and home like.
Love it and we definitely want to go back.

Came here on 2/16/24- holy cow why didn't I come here sooner?! Food was bomb (very tasty) and price was super reasonable. Parking lot was a little tight due to snow, no big deal. I got a milkshake to go which is absolutely delicious 😋 Our waitress Katie was amazing!! I will definitely be back!!

This small restaurant is awesome! Food was fresh, we were served fast, and reasonably priced. Restaurant is clean and the owner came out and greeted us! Amazing place!

My girlfriend and I took my mother out to eat here. The place has an old timey downtown burger joint vibe. My mother got the Philly cheesesteak, my girlfriend got the fried chicken with sweet potato fries and they both were very pleased. I got the downtown burger and fries along with a side of mozzarella sticks and it was incredible. The waitress was sweet. The cook thanked us as we left. I highly recommend this place. 👍

We had limited options for food, so we stopped here for some breakfast. Just off main street, with a little bit of off street parking, Dad's gives you the feeling that 'everybody knows your name' (Cheer's reference), in this quaint, small town diner. Several menu choices, but the eggs benedict caught my eye, and I wasn't disappointed. A side of fresh home fries, a nice portion of ham steak, eggs, and of course the hollandaise was very good 👍

I have left several reviews on this little gem hole in the wall on Yelp so I'll leave one here. Outstanding! The burgers are juicy and messy and really yum. My fave is the Downtown burger with mac n cheese on it. Another fave is the Dad's burger. Fries are freshly made and super tasty. If you get a sandwich without the fries don't despair; the chips are made IN HOUSE! I've been tempted to "downgrade" from the fries and just get the chips; they're that good. Don't pass it up for breakfast, either. Their hash browns are the best I've tasted. We've been coming here for over a year and have noticed a steady improvement in the interior to the point that it's quite nice. Kind of a retro/quirky vibe. Wait staff is outstanding. If you want the fried chicken be prepared to wait because it's freshly made and well worth it.

Awesome burger, messy but good I got the Louisiana burger with Blue Cheese and there was plenty of blue cheese on it! Very good there were 4 of us dining and reasonably priced and all had good food and service was also good! I’ll go back!

Only downfall I could see would be parking but was fine when we were there, middle of afternoon and was slower..
