Newport Natural Market and Café

The only place opened early in the morning we could find in downtown Newport 😊
Good selection of burritos. Dog friendly. We were able to eat indoors, no questions asked. Stuff is helpful, brought our order to the table. Spacious and clean bathroom. Lots of groceries items, fresh produce. Snacks mostly organic so they are not cheap.
Street 2 hr free parking.

I’m reviewing on the freshly made food counter.

We went on a Sunday afternoon and got five things: Greek Isle wrap, the Vermonter, a Dustin’s Magic smoothie, an almond Danish-like pastry, and another pastry I forget.

All were very good. Had to wait a bit for the wrap and panini, but it was worth it.

If you want water to drink, prepare to pay $0.50 for a pretty small cup.

The sitting area was nice but could certainly use a paint job.

If we were in the area, we would frequent thanks to their commitment to freshness and good ingredients.

We were staying in Newport right around the corner from this place, and decided to try it for lunch. It did not disappoint. The grab to go foods and the freshly made foods we tried were all very good. My friend and I both got quiche and broccoli slaw, and both were good, especially the broccoli slaw. I also ordered a honey lavender latte and it was delicious. After we ate, we shopped in the store, which has a lot of great natural foods.

So thankful to have healthy choices available in this area. I love this store! They offer a variety of options and everything is fresh. The store is well maintained and the employees I’ve interacted with are friendly.

We ate at the cafe for breakfast. They have a range of breakfast burritos (served all day), lots of coffee drinks (from basic brewed to specials like a lavender honey latte), fresh pressed juices and smoothies, as well as a nice selection of sandwiches (also available in the morning). Everything was freshly made and very tasty, and there was a quiet seating area for the cafe.

Quaint natural foods story with a suprisingly robust cafe. Food is excellent, coffee mediocre. Plenty of tables inside and a few outside. Recommend taking your order to go and eating it along the lakeshore about a block behind the market.

Great food, found this place trying to find a road off 91. Great food very fair price, service excellent. I will be back.

The macarons were very good, as was the quiche and a danish. Nice to see a place like this doing well in downtown Newport. Hope it stays around a long time. Will definitely stop in again.

Lovely cafe and food store. Have a great toasted turkey Reuben and a carrot cake afterward.

What a cool store and cafe! Every kind of natural food or item you can possibly want or need, and then some! Need just a teaspoon of some exotic spice? Fill a bag with however much you need. There's a grind your own peanut or almond butter station, and so much more. The cafe side is amazing. Takeout, grab and go options, and an extensive healthy and natural menu with paninis, smoothies, soups, and so much more. Plenty of sitting space and free wifi. What a gem in Downtown Newport. Go get coffee or have lunch. You won't be disappointed!

Today was my first trip to the Newport Natural Market and Cafe but will not be my last. I had never been before so asked for a suggestion. I was told to try the Vermonter Panini as it had won awards so I did and I was not disappointed. The cheddar cheese and apple paired with the slightly tangy honey mustard was delicious!

Great place to stop in for a bite and pick up some goods at the same time

This place is amazing! The store has an awesome selection of foods, and the cafe has incredible coffee, smoothies, and sandwiches that you can either take out or eat there. There are tons of vegan and vegetarian options too. There is even outdoor seating!

Great shop full of local produce!

Love this shop and cafe. We had the Main Streeter, which may be my favourite ham sandwich in the world, and the Montgomery. Thought The Dustin smoothie was ok. Great service and good prices. Love the amish eggs and ciders for sale as well.

Really good lunch counter! Great menu, food quality, and friendly service. Staff kept up even during a busy spell. Good gluten-free options too!

Hidden gem in Newport. We ordered takeout coffee and breakfast. Lots of options and truly tasty coffee if you are willing to wait. Also tons of grocery options with unique local finds.

I haven’t been here in about 6 years, but I have fond memories of this place. Especially the Vermonter with its smoked turkey, cheddar, apple slices, some kind of sauce, and sourdough. I wish I had the recipe. So good.

After spending time in Newport every summer since 2014 at the Kingdom Swims, I stopped by here for a post swim sandwich and snacks for the first time! This shop is lovely- sandwich was amazing, service providers attentive, mask wearing and cleaning constantly. Large variety of GF food available at the sandwich counter as well. Will definitely be back- if I lived locally I’d definitely shop here as prices seem very fair! huge bulk section downstairs. Recommend!

Their Cafe is amazing for lunch. Soups and sammiches are great.
By the way, the chili they have available hot everyday, they claim it is award-winning.....
I can't confirm this award status, but I must admit it is the best chili I've ever had.
