My children have been going here for over 5 years! The teachers are so caring and lovable! They have helped my daughter grow so much and taught her so many amazing things! I wouldn’t take my children anywhere else!

My son and I loveeee The Goddard School. We both have been with the school for a little over a year now, and we feel like this place and the staff are our second Home & family. Sunflowers Room is the SunnySide Daycare that Andy's toys get donated to in the Toy story 3 movie. (If you get the reference you're awesome)

Our two kids have attended Goddard Macungie for the past 4 years. The teachers are wonderful, caring, and hardworking. We couldn’t be happier with how much our children have learned, and their pure joy after a fun day. They constantly have extra activities. I highly recommend.

My child has been at Goddard Macungie for over a year, and we absolutely love it. Every teacher knows him by name, even those who are grades above him. I feel confident he’s receiving amazing care and learning so much.

The teachers, staff are very professional, caring, understands your needs and work with you closely. My kid loves going to school everyday and love his teachers as well. I have definitely seen lot of improvements (cognitive, speech, socializing, etc) in him since he started going to daycare.
My only recommendation would be to offer Live view of your child or may be a video or photo of every activity so that we as parents don’t miss on these key beautiful moments.

Amazing school, Amazing teachers... Exceptional education. Don't let the previous comment deter you from making the decision to give your Child a Goddard School education. Sometimes, the directors have to make decisions for the well-being of their staff and other kids, like mine, in the classroom. I respect them for the tough decisions they make daily and for sustaining a safe learning environment! GREAT PLACE!

I love that my child loves to go to school. She’s excited to see her friends and her teachers. The teachers have an obvious love for the children and an ability to create a bond. Also the facility shows it’s ability to deliver age appropriate and effective curriculum.

Unorganized, money hungry management. They don’t focus on quality of Goddard standard. Do not recommend this place for any kids. Poor quality education, no consistency of staff, management focus more on how to collect money. Kids don’t learn anything there. Think thousands of times before sending your kids there.

Jill Woosnam- Owner
Jen Fones - Director
Carrie Burton- Director
Shortly over one year ago we enrolled our son into The Goddard School in Breinigsville, Pa. We were so thrilled when the director called us and said they moved a child up into the next class to make space for us to attend full time. During the first 6 months in the school we had nothing but exceptional things to say about the care our son received, even referring other families to attend as well!
As he was getting older he transitioned to new classrooms and new teachers. With no warning signs our son started receiving incident reports for us to sign when we picked him up for his behavior.
What I started observing was the following:
1. Student to teacher ratios outside of guidelines on a daily basis. Staff has been overwhelmed with 7+ children to one staff member, leading to incidents between children.
2. Cleanliness: floors, carpets and toys not washed per standard. I witnessed dirty and mouthed toys being put back on shelves, rooms closed down for the day with food still on the floor, sinks dirty and bathrooms not cleaned.
3. Targeting of our son: my son was used as a scape goat among other children; children’s families that were personal friends with the directors were receiving special treatment. My son was being accused for being aggressive and not using “nice hands” and incident reports were being written that we were told we had to sign even though we witnessed none of the behavior on the report inside or outside of the classroom. More specific examples can be given such as bruises, bite marks and red marks on my son that no teacher could ever speak to.
4. Lack of communication between staff and parents: we sought out follow ups and meetings with the administration, they did not initiate any follow ups.
5. Mis-communication among teachers to administration. Administrators were accusing teachers of comments never made; teachers were saying the opposite of what the administrators were. Teachers were being bullied and scared by administration.
6. Lack of resources offered; the goal was never to find solutions from the administrators. No mediation involved to problem solve or come up with a solution to my child not using “nice hands”. Parents of another student reached out to my husband on social media, the administration knew about it and allowed the targeting to continue.
We were blindsided when we were sent an email from the director (who was on vacation for almost 2 weeks prior to the email) that we had to come in for a mandatory meeting or our son could not come back to the school? During the meeting with both directors and the owner, the first sentence from the director was our son can no longer return to the school because his behavior has gotten worse and a parent complained? Mind you, I just had a meeting with the owner and my sons teacher a week prior and they both stated he is super smart and a sweetheart but we were working on using nice hands. Sounds like normal behavior for a 2 1/2 year old boy. Our son is full time and we did not have anything else lined up for him to attend a new school. Why would we think a normal, happy, healthy 2 1/2 year old would be told he needs to leave immediately and there is nothing else they can do for him?
The treatment my family and my son have received is unacceptable. He has asked every day if he is going back to his school and if he is going to see his friends. We even went as far as scheduling an appointment for our son to be evaluated by a Developmental Pediatrician, even when his personal pediatrician sees nothing to warrant that request.
This turned into more of an open letter but I need to report the shameful treatment this little boy was put through by this staff. I should have noticed the warning signs when my son felt compelled to tell me “Mommy I didn’t hit any of my friends today!” Hindsight is always 20/20.
As a parent you want what is best for your child, sometimes the most expensive and ‘nice from the outside’ aren’t always the best.
