Terrible terrible terrible. Use anyone but them!!!
Made a reservation online, walked 8 miles because my car broke down and my Uber was acting up. Get to the location and am told that reservations can only be paid for in credit…. Strictly credit. No reason as to why but only credit cards are accepted. Well I don’t own or have any credit cards and was told that the only way I could use a debit card is to pick the vehicle up Tomorrow. No same day pick up with debit cards. Thanks Hertz

Walked in for a same day rental and was told that I needed a credit card although their machine doesn't know the difference between debit and credit. Was told to go to U-haul to rent a vehicle instead.
Was going to use this company from now on for my rentals but Enterprise is worth the few extra dollars and location being out of my way; they were able to take care of me within an hour of me calling and I used a debit card. What a shame this experience was at Hertz.

Paid for a rental online about a week in advance. The day I was supposed to get my vehicle, I went to the Lebanon location next to Frederick's, & NO ONE was there. I waited for 30 minutes before I started calling the corporate number. On the door says they are supposed to be open, but they were not! Corporate representative stated "I'm sorry someone should be there, oh, wait, that location isn't in service. I don't know how you were able to rent a car." This company claimed it would take at least 7-10 days to get my refund. Ridiculous! (I went to Enterprise! In & out in 10 minutes!)

Made an reservation a couple of weeks ago to pick up a car by noon. It was very hard to find the place because there were no signs and it was hidden in the back of a car dealership. Then I discover that NO ONE was there. When I called the number left on the door by an employee, I find out the ONE guy who works here is 15 minutes away... no apologies— just “I’ll be there as soon as I can get there.” When I asked why no one was there even though I had made an appointment, he gave an excuse that revealed HE HAD NO IDEA about my reservation. I waited 20 minutes for this guy to show up. Is this really how Hertz does business??? I can promise you I won’t be using them again
