Grotta Azzurra Restaurant

From brunch to lunch and dinners I absolutely love coming to Grotta Azzurra! The staff is super friendly and the atmosphere makes you feel like you’re in Italy! I love their French toast, eggs Benedict and chicken parmigiana with pasta!

One of the best and oldest in Little Italy. Since it was the last ‘hot’ summer evening of the year, we chose to sit outside. It was spacious and other guests were in good manners (not loud or smoking). We ordered a couple of frozen margaritas and moscato, which were so appropriate for the day! They gave us some complimentary yum bread with olive oil. After that we ordered pizza with prosciutto and seafood risotto. Portion was generous and taste was very classy, just like what you have in Italy. Price was good for such amazing outdoor space and friendly service. It was a lovely evening seeing people walk and enjoy their time. Would definitely recommend this place.

Beautiful old style authentic Italian restaurant. I had to have the spaghetti and meatballs 😋 and they didn't disappoint ! Would highly recommend this restaurant there's not many left like this in little Italy.

While visiting The Little Italy we saw this corner cafe. Just ordered cappuccino which was great, but more than that, the atmosphere and environment was amazing! Like watching the scenes from the Godfather 😀

Very laid back place.. they play 80 and 90's hits. This is a place I would come on a first, second, and even third date.. reasonably priced.. lemme give u your 💐 flowers while I'm alive..

A great place in little Italy. Been here for years. Delicious home made food, perfectly prepared and waiters know what they are doing.

If you want to time travel.. This place will bring you back to the good ole days.. It’s now under new management and will adapt to the times… Better things ahead. A new lounge in the works. The food as well as hospitality is like being with family 🙌💕 and don’t forget to order pizza… Heaven sent.

This is hands down, the best restaurant we were at. NYC has such great service, but these guys were great. Drinks, fantastic. Atmosphere, fantastic. Food, fantastic. Service, phenomenal. I personally recommend the lunch fish with penne alla vodka. I can not say enough. The cheesecake was fabulous. I will come back to NYC just for this.

We stumbled in here by chance - we saw their sign for espresso martini & aperol, so glad we did. We were served by Israel at the bar (FIVE STAR from his service alone) delicious drinks - we got the Aperol Paloma (delicious!) an Espresso martini, and a smooth criminal (recommended by Israel and is officially one of my favorite drinks ever - the mezcal and peach purée 🤌🏽)
Nice chill atmosphere, spacious inside and have nice jazz music playing. Can’t wait to go back!

My first time here. My friend that lives in Manhattan has heard about this place and brought me. This place was amazing!!!! The mozzarella caprese was to die for!!! We also had the lasagna clásico and four cheese ravioli. Will definitely be back next visit!

I went here for brunch, but their whole menu sounded delicious. I got their Eggs Benedict with salmon and it was so good! Most of my friends got the breakfast pizza which was my close second choice and they all looked amazing. Drinks were good as well and so was the service. I didn’t even realize how long this place had been around until I looked it up. I loved the old-style look of it all. I’ll definitely be going back to try more!

Went there this past Sunday. 12/5/21…I had filet of sole and hubby had rib eye … very delicious food; amount was plenty…my fish was made with butter and white wine… the steak was super!..Staff was friendly. The only thing (to me only.. it’s a personal preference) they don’t give nothing on the house (you know like chips in a Mexican restaurant?) but didn’t matter cause prices were ver reasonable. A great experience for us… I also had the “smooth criminal” drink 🤭 really good if you like smoky mezcal…as you can see we cleaned the plates🤣🤣

Classic Ny ambiance. Music is fantastic server's down to earth Iggy and Carlos are amazing! Im coming here everyday of my trip!

My family and I have been here twice the past year, and each time has been a pleasure. The food and service were impeccable. The staff were friendly and helpful. On our last visit our son stayed at the table (we were seated outside) while my partner and I went down to the rest room. The line was long and there was no phone reception. The staff kindly spoke with our son and the hostess came down to ensure we were okay. Their kindness and empathy went above and beyond.

Definitely visit when you're downtown.

Elite Tabletops was pleased to enjoy what Grotta Azzurra has to offer, down to the drinks, appetizers, bread and oil, and homemade pasta! Very friendly staff and made our visit pleasant!
