This is a donation spot. Not a store! They fo not sell but collect donations. The person there was helpful in pointing this out and showed me the list of locations available.

Great prices but the staff here is ghetto! They talk with each other while cashing out a client and you can always here them talking about wanting to leave work. The staff who put the items are great but the staff at the registers need to be more professional. This would be a 5 star if they had the right people up front.

My Salvation Army - At-Home Donation Pickup was, unfortunately, an absolute joke and I'm absolutely livid with the experience that I had yesterday, Tuesday, June 30, 2020 the entirety of all that transpired was undeniably a nightmare! I scheduled a donation pick up 3 weeks ago and was all set to go for the donation pickup, but my plans didn't go as I had presumed they would. I had an inkling, however, that something was off when I called customer service in the morning to inquire about the timeframe for my pickup - collectively I was given 2 different timeframes (8 am-11 am then that turned into 1 pm-4 pm) all-in-all the driver came past the timeframe given which was, 4:30 pm - this is not only very unprofessional but, very disappointing in seeing that no one at the establishment including the driver had regard for both, my mother and I with our schedule, etc. and thought that it would be okay for myself and/or anyone else for that matter to sit around and wait all day for them at their convenience to decide to come as if he the driver and/or the donation center are doing you/me a favor SMH when in reality I'm doing them all a favor by donating and donating quality, name brand, perfect condition, clean items! I spoke with customer service, dispatch and the manager, Robert multiple times throughout the day to enable a smooth process and AGAIN collectively I got the run around; I waited in my high-rise lobby for over an hour after Robert informed me that the driver was on his way and should be arriving shortly (shortly meant 1+ hr. I guess) and then to top it off when the driver did show up he not only flew by my building for which I had to leave my items behind and run down the block to catch up with the driver to stop him, he then proceeded to catch an attitude because 'he wasn't paying attention to me flagging him down' and would have to turn around to drive around the block to get back down the block to the front entrance of my building to retrieve the items - he even had the audacity to ask/think that I was going to carry 4 bags and a mirrored cabinet to him down the block where he was parked, especially after waiting hours throughout the day on him...Pure ridiculousness!! The driver never once took into account that I myself, alone had to lug all the items from my apt. down the hallway to the main front elevators and then load the items into the lobby and then outside near the entrance. The driver had no paperwork in-hand for my donation and refused to provide me with a receipt for items which made no sense to me at all; when inquiring what will be done to navigate me getting a receipt the driver stated, "I don't have the paperwork so, that's that", I then proceeded to ask that he call his manager, Robert because I was over it at this point after waiting all day, the inconvenience(s) caused, the runaround I got on the phone, the head games played throughout the day, and now not getting the necessary papers I needed - I wasn't at all in the position to not only argue with this man, but I too was NOT going to provide anything...A receipt was needed and the paperwork for tax purposes for the donation, he again refused my request rudely. I immediately called customer service and Robert directly and got no answer, how convenient. The whole experience was a complete waste of my time; I was honestly better off throwing the items away in the dumpster - you would think you're doing a good thing and doing your part to help aid those in need, etc. and yet, ignorant, unprofessional people like the employees at Salvation Army spoil it by NOT DOING THEIR DUE DILIGENCE AND/OR THEIR JOB FOR WHICH THEY'RE GETTING PAID TO DO?! I truly believe that I will NEVER again reach out to Salvation Army, this establishment that handles the donations is horrible, very unprofessional and it's clear that they could care less about quality customer service and/or people in actual need!!!! I am very inclined to call the Better Business Bureau because this is unacceptable!!!
