Travis was VERY helpful, and seemed to be very knowledgeable. I went in to purchase Magic The Gathering cards for a kid, and I don't know anything about the game. He was kind and friendly, and also, the place is well-organized and clean which is always a plus!

GamesIRL rocks. The team there have done such a great job growing a community around Magic and Pokemon and retro console gaming and other collectibles. It’s the kind of Local Game Store where you can always drop by and enjoy some fun games and make some friends.

Their singles selection is repeatedly updated, and they offer competitive rates on trade ins. They also offer collection appraisals, for if you are looking to trade in an old collection, or if you need a value appraisal done in order to insure your cards. If you’re looking to learn about a game or pick up some new product, they’re super helpful.

This place is amazing! The staff are friendly and are very helpful with finding things in the store. All their items are reasonably priced and they almost always round down the cost, at least with cheaper items. If you are looking for somewhere to play Magic the Gathering or looking to play or trade Pokémon, then this is the place to go.

This review is in reference to a transaction with the one, the only, Travis. My man is truly the greatest human being to walk the Earth. Makes Ghandi look like Hitler. Responded quicker than my shot on a third date. Overall, would do more than business with this chunk of perfection.

The person working was unbelievably helpful towards a novice like myself with tons of dumb questions. Lots of people in the shop playing games. Will certainly be back to buy more stuff in the future!

Update: had another staff member help me out today who was just as kind and helpful as the owner. Happy to continue to shop there regularly and highly recommend it to anyone else looking for Magic:the gathering, Pokemon, or dungeons and dragons supplies.

Eric and Josh are very friendly, and very knowledgeable. I'm not going to name any stores, but out of about half a dozen card stores I've visited, GamesIRL has the best selection of Pokemon singles I've seen. Eric has been very helpful in helping me fill some missing sections of my binder. 5/5 would definitely keep coming back!

Update: This establishment has finally moved to a larger venue. It used to be small and get crowded during events but it is now in much larger place where there's room and they can display more inventory. It has a Video Gaming area as well as many places to sit and play all sorts of trading card games. The variety of products is great and it has been a 100% Improvement. I am updating my previous review to a five star.

Eric and his team just hosted my son's birthday party, and it was fantastic! Kids and adults had a great time and everyone got to take a deck of MTG cards home at the end of the party. They were great about helping those who weren't familiar with the game too. It was a very friendly atmosphere too, lots of regulars who were more than happy to help new players learn the game. A great community, we will be back!

Pulled a secret rainbow rare and a Tyranitar V (Alternate Full Art). Pulled over $300 worth of cards easily. Very happy with my purchase! Would buy from this seller again!

Amazing! All of the staff is incredibly nice, not only do they have very friendly people there, they will teach you almost any game and have amazing deals on trading cards and board games. If you are ever in the area it is definitely worth checking out. There is excellent prices, a great atmosphere, and large selection.

For five years, Games IRL has been my favorite store to buy cards from. Eric is extremely welcoming and fun to chat with. He always has a good selection and he is always willing to go out of his way to stock inventory that his customers are looking for.

This place is so cozy, I love it! They got tons of variety, lots of new stuff, even Pokemon products you cant find anywhere else selling for actually reasonable prices. Plenty of Magic cards and RPG books too

Probably the best place to find vintage wizards of the coast and newer sets of pokemon cards in ct. The owner eric was very informative and patient and helped me find some vintage pokemon cards (which they had a large variety of) that I was looking for. He was even nice enough to show me his personal collection of vintage cards! I will definitely be visiting again soon.

This store buys and sells used video games and card and board games, and other assorted nerd paraphernalia. They also have tables where you can play games, and weekly Magic tournaments. Eric was very friendly, and I'm sure I'll be visiting more often in the future.
