Gills Point S Tire & Auto - St. Johnsbury

The people are great and friendly. They care about making vehicles work their best and are great at communicating quickly and getting the job done right! I’ve brought my Model Y there and their service department is superior to Tesla.

I bring my Mazda3 here often and Nick and his wife are always extremely good and helpful in getting me right in and taken care of, asap! Even if things change drastically...as they do often with vehicles (you bring it in for something minor and realize it's needs more 😒)
They also always do their absolute best to give me the best price point they can! Overall it's just always good service and I have no complaints!

Called last minute my son is a boarding student and had hockey tryouts this weekend. The shop worked us in and checked out his battery and ended up replacing it so that he didn’t get stranded on his three hour trip. Most appreciated.

Just moved to the area. So far, this is the first and only shop I have brought my car and motorcycle to. Won't be looking for anywhere else, these guys are great.

Awesome service here. I was heading out of town and caught a screw in one tire, close to the sidewall. They replaced the tire and had me out of there in like 20min.

I highly recommend Gills in St J. Great service, reasonable prices. They checked with me before proceeding with repairs and gave me an idea of price. I was able to prioritize what had to be done first and what could be delayed a bit. Staff members are friendly and knowledgeable. I need to add to the original review! Once again, my car was in for repairs. After the repairs, it needed an alignment. Matt stayed late to work on it. Nick and all the guys are friendly, courteous, efficient, and proficient. Oh, and the new floor in the waiting area is fantastic! The waiting area is much more welcoming and comfortable now!

Great bunch of guys, they look out for their customers. Called them on Monday for an oil change, brake/rotor change, and tire rotation; got an appointment for today, Tuesday and got my car back by 12pm. Highly recommend.

Needed an inspection and got in same day even though I know they are busy with tire season schedule. Fast, friendly and professional service. Comfortable waiting room.

We had been customers at Vianor in St. Johnsbury and continued on when the business became Gills Point S. We have been very happy with the service received. Most recently, we brought in our Toyota Sienna for brake work. (Never a fun thing to do, usually expensive.) Nick, the manager, recommended that we try doing the front brakes because it seemed possible that the problem was in the front brakes only. Well, he turned out to be right, saving us a substantial amount. Always have had good and friendly service there.

This place is incredibly honest , reliable , efficient and knowledgable.
Asked them to check my tires and questioned if I needed snow tires... I was told I didn't need them and they were spot on. I needed an inspection they took my right away and told me I needed brakes, and boy did I ever . My check engine light came on one day . I got concerned , as its an old car and brought it right in....one of the guys promptly checked it out and shared he felt pretty sure it was just the cold ... and once again he was right !!! If there were more stars this place would get them.. Thank you Gills ... for so much ... Your work is outstanding and your honesty put your place of business high above the rest .... so thankful to have found you and its a privilege to write this review..

I've never bought tires before, but I gave these guys a call and they happily welcomed me over just so they could take a look and see what they could offer me. I was given several different options--different tires, with and without waranty--and didn't feel pressured whatsoever to do business with them. Prices were reasonable and they were so friendly and patient. As long as I'm in the area, this is where I'm going for auto service.

These guys are straight shooters and do solid work...

Had some mechanical work done and tires swapped and I have nothing but good things to say about these folks. Bryce is a good communicator and got the work done when he said he would for the price he quoted. Glad to find an honest and trustworthy shop locally. I will go back. -Nathan Stahler
