Had BCBS before, they were meh. Now have MVP through work since moving. Have found them to be great.

Every time I've left an after hours voicemail they have called back within 10 minutes of opening. Wow! Not had any issues with claims either.

So far- MVP has gone above and beyond everything I ever expected or could have asked for in my insurance company.

I was diagnosed with cancer in september of 2021 and there has been no issue.

When I got the word that it came back the first time 3 months post op & I was looking at Chemo, they again took care of everything.

When I then got the word that it came back 6 months after chemo, and I was referred to a specialist hospital 1/3 the distance across the country's away, they again have stepped up and covering 100% of it all.

On top of all of that, which is what i have expected from them, when the hospitals ended up trying to charge me 4x more than my max out of pocket I was linked up with a Brook Maynard who worked with me to get it 100% resolved and she dealt with everything to get it sorted out and then put to bed.

Once MVP approved my major surgery, I had an MVP RN call me to just touch base and see if there was anything she could do to help as I prepared for my surgery. She then put a referral out to a social worker & a behavior health specialist all to see if there was any way they could help. From making sure I had means to sign up for any programs to help me post op while I'm out of work, trying to make sure I have my meals set up.

I even just now got of the phone with a gentleman named Chris in the customer service department & he was very kind & helpful to confirm everything I needed.

I would 11 times out of 10 recommend MVP. I have just been blown away- and knowing that my insurance company has my back as I go into a large surgery is such a weight off my shoulders.

Thank you again for making this time an easier process.

Trash CSR's try telling me they cant discuss anything about my plan it needs to go through the employer. They constantly avoid questions and violate hippa laws.

I was covered, until I wasn't. Broke my leg and MVP covered the bill, but now that I'm on Medicaid and no longer paying premiums to MVP, they retroactively backdated the end of my coverage to before the date of my accident and charged back my hospital for the $40,000 in ER and surgery costs. They even REFUNDED THE PREMIUM (how swell of them) that I paid to them that was to cover the time period of my injury! Not only that (get a load of this), they are withholding payments to my therapist FOR OTHER CLIENTS of his in order to recoup the payments they made to him on my account! UNCONSCIONABLE!!!!! This is why we need universal healthcare! Stop these insurance companies from taking advantage of us! They don't look out for you and I, just the bottom line. THEY PAID MY BILLS 5 months ago, and now they are taking the money back and I'm responsible for payment because they backdated my termination of coverage to 3 months before Medicaid kicked in, leaving me with a lapse of coverage!! SHAME!!!

MVP Health Care has to be one of the worst health care insurance companies around. While they have Health Care in their name they really mean no health care. They put you through so many hoops with the hopes that you will relent and not get the true health care that you and your doctor discuss. They have denied my doctors request for me to use diabetic supplies that will help me control my blood sugar levels because they want me to use a Pharmacy that is almost 4 hours away from me. I would have any employer who is looking into MVP Health Care to be aware that MVP Health Care may save the employer money but in the long run cost the employees a lot more money, time and head aches.

Horrible company. Like many have said, the “insurance” provided is nothing. It’s a shell game of fees and coverages and an intricate web of lies and shadows. People at the top of this company should be ashamed of themselves as they don’t lead a caring human lifestyle. They commit white collar fraud. They are garbage. I would rather be mugged in broad daylight, at least the thief knows what he is and doesn’t pretend

Worst healthcare I have ever had - and I have lived in 5 states and have had 4 other health insurance companies in the last 20 years. I just received a letter stating that the drug I use (the main reason I chose this plan) is now NOT on their list. This means that it will cost me much more. My doctor can jump through hoops to try to get them to pay for it and the process takes a significant amount of time. This is like a breach of contract. I contracted with them for healthcare, including this drug at a specified price, for a year. I have paid every one of my premiums. Now they are changing the contract!!!

Trying to put on a good "VERMONTY" face and failing miserably. No better than any other health insurance company. The drug of choice for an illness of a family member is quite high. Of course they rejected it even though 1 specialist and 2 internists recommended it. The appeal process is archaic and they are inflexible in their procedural appeals...all of which delay access, but their bottom line will be protected. SHAME ON MVP

They dropped me because they said I missed a payment even though they cashed the check. I had to fight via phone/ e-mail to prove I had paid. Turns out they accidentally applied it to someone else's account. I had my ss#, account #, name address, ect. on the check. How could that have happened?

Absolute WORST trainwreck ever. These people are just plain lost. The 802 phone number transfers you to NEW YORK. I spent 2 hours on the phone with an absolutely clueless SUPERVISOR only to find out that she was working with a NY plan when I live in VERMONT. Someone should burn this place to the ground.

Terrible. If your employer offers this health insurance then I suggest that your employer is not looking out for your best interests. One of the worst healthcare plans I've ever had.

It only covers 10 % of the bill with exams etc. It does not cover much with $ 200 payment on a monthly basis for years. I wish there was something better than this one.
