Motel 6 Colchester, VT - Burlington

excellent stay. front desk was extremely friendly and helpful. AC was not working in my first room and got a room change after informing the front desk- AC was working fine in the second room. cleanliness of room was good. ample parking space (outdoors). Free coffee. swimming pool (kind of small but was not too bad).

My husband & I stayed here because it was close to the hospital where he had an appointment early the next morning. I made our reservations online and did not include our puppy as we were unsure at the time. We decided at the last minute to bring her with us and I thought this might cause a bit of a delay in check-in and did expect to have a bit of a hassle. But I couldn't have been more wrong! The clerk was more than helpful and made us feel extremely welcomed! He had a few customers there all at once but he maintained his good manner and was very courteous to everyone. Our room was pretty clean with the exception of a bit of dirt/dust beneath the "closet area". For the people who have complained about "no shampoo, no toothpaste, etc". What do you expect for $60? I too was hoping there would be a hair dryer (because I forgot to pack mine) but I realize that Motel 6 has reasonable rates because they watch their costs. The bedding was clean and the beds were comfortable and you can't beat their prices. Will always look for Motel 6 when we travel!

The staff here are very pleasant and work extremely hard to accommodate guests. The rooms are very clean and inviting. They are budget friendly. They welcome pets and just like at home you are expected to clean up after them, the motel does provide fiddo dog bags and trash cans around the facility so you can clean up after them. They offer fresh coffee in the morning. They do offer tea and hot water that you can make instead of coffee. There is Wi-Fi and plenty of parking. They do have a pool that is available except during the winter months. I recommend this motel to everyone. Each person has their own experience with hospitality and mine has been extremely pleasant and The staff are very professional and extremely compassionate. They do leave the light on for you, *smiles*.
One last thing Please no matter the kind of day you are having please be considerate and respectful to the staff, it's not their fault you are having a bad day. I have witnessed some guests verbally abusing staff here and its completely uncalled for. Treat them how you would want someone to treat you and your family.

We drove to probably every hotel in this town before we came to this Motel 6, I wish we would have just went here first! I don’t know his name but the night clerk was phenomenal! He was kind, accommodating, very personable and just all around a really awesome guy! The hotel itself and the room are clean and comfortable! The bathtub was really impressive! One of the biggest standard tubs I have ever seen in a hotel room! The manager here is so sweet and she’s doing a great job running this place! We have stayed at a lot of Motel 6’s some were so bad we slept in our car! This motel 6 is not only clean and comfortable but also has amazing staff that are kind and welcoming! We will definitely be staying here anytime we come to Vermont! Great job to this hotel staff for taking pride in their hotel!

Booked a last minute trip during a busy holiday weekend and had an excellent experience here. Was actually expecting a lot less because the Motel 6's down south are terrible, but this one exceeded my expectations. The young man at the front was very friendly. My room was very clean and the a/c was ice cold (which was a treat that night). Nicely upgraded bathrooms and rooms that have the clean, modern feeling. Will definitely book here again in the future.

I have frequented this particular Motel6 numerous times in the past 3 years.
I have two kids in colleges in this area, so obviously room value is an essential!!

There isn't any other place in the Burlington area even close to the price here.
Not just price, but value for price.
I've looked at some of the other places that were just a bit more and I wasn't impressed at all.
I have never experienced any of the things some of these reviews spoke of. Never unpleasant smells, or noises, or patrons. I'm sure that there are things from time to time that are bound to happen at these budget motels.
I have been fortunate to always leave with a good feeling that I got a warm comfy bed, clean bright bathroom (and even a seat in the shower!) towels, soft linens, and nice flat screen TV. I don't need anything more than that! Granted though, I do know to bring my own shampoo and dryer (although I heard someone getting one from the front desk)
I really don't like spending money on a hotel room I'm only going to use for 12 hours. It is nice to know that there is a good place to stay in the area I frequent, and it won't cost me a days pay!

All the staff smiled all the time. They were friendly and helpful, informative and polite. Our room was very clean. It -smelled- clean. It also looked nice, hardwood floors, etc. This has not been my experience at Holiday Inn in Burlington which my company often books when I am there on business. This was a personal stay at Motel 6 and I was pleasantly surprised. Great experience.

Hotel management is GREAT. Friendly and professional. Very clean inside and out. Room was clean and cozy.
Nice new ac/heat units. Free coffee at 6 a.m. was great.

It's a dog friendly place, with on of the greatest staffs I have ever experienced in my history of lodging. Always a warm smile and pleasant conversation. Never too busy to take a moment for me regardless of their need for haste. All Lodgers are treated the same, warm and welcome, more than just another room filled! I highly recommend it to all families, travelers and their furry companions... Everyone!!! Oh and the rooms are nice, clean and comfortable as well.

To put it simply, it's clean, comfortable, and staff are friendly and helpful, and overall it's just a really good place to rest. There aren't a lot of luxuries, but just enough for a pleasant stay. It's well worth it's cost.

Just wanted to update my review. Considering the cost, and how pleasant and helpful the people are, and the rooms are always clean and well kept, this is a great place to stay while visiting the area. There's a buss stop a bit down the road, within walking distance, close enough to give transportation to Burlington, and make connecting trips to other areas, so this motel isn't too far out of the way.

My sister and I needed a place to sleep after spending the day at the hospital with our elderly father who had had surgery. A friend had mentioned this motel to me. we arrived at a late hour, the young lady at the desk was very friendly and accommodating. We found the room to be very clean and neat. The location is great, with restaurants close by and the interstate highway easy to access. The young lady at checkout was also very friendly, As we were leaving, there was a man in the parking lot cleaning up trash, he too was very friendly. The staff all seemed to be relaxed and enjoyed their jobs. thank you, we will recommend this motel to others.

Very nice front desk staff. They said that the motel had quiet hours after 10:00pm which was great and it really was quiet. Beds are comfortable as well.
The exterior of the motel looks a little rundown, but inside was clean and comfortable and well kept. I would stay here again.

I enjoyed my stay very much. Staff there was very friendly and helpful. the room was clean and nice everything worked properly. They allow pets which is a plus for me, because our dog goes wherever we go not many places allow animals. It was pretty quiet and peaceful weekend im sure we will be staying there again soon.

Katie was awesome. I typically don't fill out surveys, but she was very kind and professional, which was appreciated after a long trip. Also, the rooms were clean, and the hotel smelled great. Lastly, the price of the room was wonderful.

I was very impressed with everything at the motel on this trip. My last visit was in 2011 or 2012 and nothing was good then. Adults and children seemed to be living in the halls. Noise was constant and nothing was clean. I decided to give this Motel6 another try and am glad I did. I don't know if new management too over, but someone sure made big changes. Thank you for cleaning up the motel, I will be back.

As I fill out these surveys, I realize that, out of a 3 week trip, with 14 or 15 stays in Motel 6... there are not many that I do not have comment about. This motel was one of those rare instances when I did not make a comment on my receipt! We stayed 2 nights. It was a ground floor room with easy access for crates ,dogs, had luggage carts, and 2 beds!
Staff was great.

This Motel 6 went far above my expectations. The room was super-modern, clean and had ample lighting (which is rare). The staff were pleasant and ready to accommodate. I liked being able to choose which floor to stay on. Love that there's no fee for pets; traveling with 2 dogs has cost me $40 a night at other places. This was the lowest rate for any motel/hotel I could find in the entire Burlington area. Convenient location: just off I-89, right on the border of Burlington, a nice Italian restaurant within walking distance. Highly recommended!!

Everyone at the hotel was amazing and sweet! The room was great, it was the perfect size for one. It was comfortable and the pillows were great! It was a little far from my destination but that would not stop me from booking there again!! Thanks for everything... it was a great stay!

Your location is so convenient. We enjoyed our stay very much. From check in to check out. We were greeted with smiles. The fact that our dog could stay with us was a blessing for all. The motel accommodated our request for the first floor so when she had to go, we went right out and took care of business. I highly recommend Motel 6 in Colchester.
