Fantastic find in Lawrence! The food is so flavorful, portions were perfect, and the staff is incredibly friendly.

I had the chicken korma and my spouse had butter chicken. Both were delicious. PLENTY of meat; I couldn’t even finish all of mine. Rice was cooked to perfection. The garlic naan was different than I’ve had at other restaurants, but tasty!

Cosmos definitely looks unassuming from the outside and isn’t fancy inside, but the service and food more than make up for what it’s lacking aesthetically.

Every visit to Cosmo's is sure to delight and satisfy. As soon as you cross the threshold, you're greeted with the warm inviting aroma of Indian spices. There is a small market area just outside of the seating area, which allows you to take a glance at the other, non restaurant offerings.

The service staff is both friendly and polite, and always willing to accommodate unique requests as best as they can. I have never had to wait to be seated or helped at Cosmo's.

The good quality is unquestionably top notch. I personally love Northern Indian style curries, but the coconut curries are just as delicious. My personal favorite is their Chicken Korma, which is easily the best I have ever tried in my life.

Everyone at this place is putting in their best efforts and it shows. "The proof is in the pudding"....in this case the pudding is GREAT and it's as spicy as you want it to be. I asked for extra spicy and that's exactly what I was served, (with a smile). It melted the ice off my eyebrows. At my table of four, everyone was happy. The grocery store is a bonus. I like to hit that on the way out for some PG Tips and other earthly delights. The portions are reasonably dished out, as well as the prices. That is no accident. It's good economics; and it's GREAT pudding!

This is a hidden jewel of a restaurant. I love the variety of flavors and choices. My favorite is the half Tandoori chicken.

I come here almost every chance I get when I visit Lawrence, the menu including the drink menu is extensive and everything is delicious leaving almost nothing to be desired, the only thing I wish they had was more sampler/combo options so I can try more each meal.

This is a very nice and unique place, brought my mother and sister in laws to try something new and we love it, I can't eat spicy food (didn't know almost everything was) but staff were so kind as to make me something to eat with more of a mild spice. They were checking to see if the food was ok with me. They are the best. Very nice people and place.

Indian food here is delicious. I also find their snacks like samosa all around the campus in Indian and international events. me and my friends really enjoy their food. even though I like their food, i mostly do carryouts because i think their restaurant environment can be more pleasant and welcoming and the Indian grocery store can be separate. apart from their ambience, they sell some good quality Indian food here in Lawrence.

Went in for lunch with my friends, had a great experience enjoying the culture and learning more about South Indian style food. I would highly recommend the dosa, the strawberry dosa is a unique fruity treat, perfect for those with a sweet tooth. If you're looking for something more savory, the Chicken Coconut Curry had an amazing flavor and was quite a bit of food for the price.
You can really tell that they care about taking care of their customers and could do much better in a larger space.

Tremendously excellent Indian food with an expansive menu that is for real. The chef lovingly prepares each meal as if it were for a family member. Your tastebuds are in for a treat! It is most intimate in that there are fewer than 9 tables.

This is my favorite restaurant in Lawrence! My favorites are the aloo mutter and masala dosa but everything I've tried has been delicious. I always have to get a rose milk too!

I have ordered food here many times for my college events and the food is very good (love the samosas!). The food taste fresh, tasty and authentic. I also love the variety of indian products available in the store. Overall, it has been a great experience!

The food was beyond delicious. It is very authentic, gave me a south Indian vibe although dishes are from different Indian provinces.

Myself and my wife go regularly to cosmos. We buy indian groceries and vegetables. They have rice, pulses, atta, maida, condiment, spices. The food here is nice and freshly made. They accommodate our request and prepare accordingly.Their service is extremely good. A great place to eat and shop for indians.

Food tastes amazing! The service was just as great as well. Everyone is welcoming and they talk to you, not ignore. Cute restraunt/market combo.

My wife and I are in love with trying Indian food everywhere we can and we travel quite a bit. We just recently moved to Lawrence and last night we discovered literally the best Indian restaurant we have ever encountered. My wife called to order the samosas and chicken korma. The woman that helped us was friendly and knowledgeable and was happy to offer suggestions. She suggested the Northern chicken korma. All I can say is WOW!! The food came steaming and hot. The fragrant smell of this delicious food filled our kitchen immediately. The chicken korma sauce was rich, complex, and provided layer upon layer of exotic pleasing flavors. The bread was fresh and warm and it absorbed the sauce that we didn't dare waste!! The samosas were crispy and rich and coupled perfectly with the chutneys they provided. We spent the entire meal just saying... Whoa, wow, oh man... It was exceptional!! The only thing as wonderful as this food was the friendly and welcoming staff. I felt like I was eating food prepared in a home of a beloved relative and it was definitely comforting. Not only will we be back time and time again but I look forward to trying everything cosmos Cafe has to offer. After this review I do believe I'll be making another order shortly this afternoon!!! Love it! So do yourself a favor and check this local jewel of a restaurant out! You won't be disappointed!

My family recently had a wonderful lunch at Cosmos! I was very impressed at the large menu with many dishes I hadn't seen at other Indian restaurants. The food was excellent, the naan sampler in particular! My four-year-old enjoyed her lunch, especially the individual gulab jamun that someone kindly brought out for her. We'll be back soon.

moved to Lawrence from Philly and was not expecting to have Indian food this freakin good in Kansas, and honestly, it was the best Indian food I have ever had.

When I walked in and immediately smelled all the fresh spices I knew I was in for a treat. I got the Chicken Jalferzi which was absolutely delicious. The flavor was amazing and the spice level was hot just to my liking.

The staff was also very friendly and kind. I cannot wait to go back!!
