I have had excellent experience finding useful things at Resource VT for years. This location, the old Goodwill, is a great fit and works well for them. Household goods and furniture, with good turnover, can be found for extremely reasonable prices. But the most helpful department for us has been the electronics department, where we have been able to get computers, televisions, sound systems, and more, and have had several opportunities to have computers evaluated and repaired quite inexpensively. Thanks, ReSOURCE VT!

BUT: ReSOURCE only delivers appliances (quite reasonably, I think $40). At their front desk (see photo), they post the phone numbers of two delivery services who can deliver anything else you might buy there. I called both. One never called me back. The other, JAMIE STROTMEYER of "ME AND MY TRUCK" called back the next day and said he could deliver in a week, but in addition to paying him, I would have to help. I agreed, since I needed the couch delivered, but said I thought it odd that he wanted me to help do what he was charging me a pretty good amount to do. Today, he called to 'confirm' but then first tried to make me feel that I was unreasonable for wanting him to just deliver the couch without my help (though I said I would be glad to pay more (which would actually be more $$ than the couch) if he would find someone to help him), and then said he "didn't think it would work out" and flaked out. If you buy something that needs to be delivered, make other arrangements.

Good bargains. Great assortment of stuff. I always find good vinyl there. The chicken pic is from their old location.

Eco friendly shopping. I almost always try to reuse, fix, and give new life to used things. The staff is super and really make going there worth while.

We had found a kiddy golf putting crocodile with balls. But didn't see any putters. My son really wanted it ( he loves crocodiles). I happened to mention not seeing any clubs to go with it and she said hold on a second. I figured she had to go check the price because it wasn't marked. She came back with two blue putters and threw them in for a quarter. Totally made our day. We have had so much fun with that little golf set.

Love this place. I'm a thrift shop connoisseur and this one is my go to since moving to Vermont. Though some items seem like they're priced high. You can still get a good deal on most things. Definitely a return customer and would recommend to others.

Fantastic store and employees. Recently purchased a used computer as-is and discovered it was not the advertised year and model. Took it back to the helpful associate in the computer section who was apologetic and ultimately made it right. Keep your money local and help out folks who need job training at the same time. Definitely the best second hand store in the area.

Wow! What a cool place! Shout out to Liz the amazing staff member helped me so much. I got to view carpets by cutting the tape off them, and even got to place my furniture ontop the carpet to make sure it matched. Incredibly friendly people who will help you find what you need. Ao grateful for this store. Money saved. Enviroment friendly. Left with a smile on my face! Highly recommend!

I love ReSOURCE. This is a great place to go for a used computer or laptop or a hard-to-find electronics accessory like a power adapter, cable or a mouse or keyboard. They carry a lot of used furniture, although sometimes prices on that are fairly high considering that it is all donated. Not a fancy store by any means, but it's well organized and they use all of their floor space. Oh, and one of the few places in town that sells used mattresses for great prices, which they steam treat before selling.

Great store with an ever-changing inventory, funky finds, and killer prices. You can get everything from dishes to dishwashers, toys to toilets. Furniture is great, tons of fun vintage housewares. Found tons of fiesta ware recently for about $1/ piece, WAYYY below retail. Just a heads up, they don't sell clothing, but goodie is just down the street for that. Great source of art supplies, too!

I love buying used! This is the place for it. A community-centric store aiming to help people build job skills and improve their lives by preparing and selling everything from furniture to books to computers and more. I'm staring at my exceptional-quality near-perfect-condition four-drawer maple hardwood dresser I just got for $75 from there, and it's really quite a nice piece. Yesterday I also got a lovely vintage ball-bearing whistle tea kettle for $3, and it's better than our electric one. Go for a stroll and maybe you'll find something that enhances your home for cheap, and help support your community at the same time!

As for cushions, they heat-treat everything they sell, so don't fear bugs!

Flea market vibes.
Be prepared to put in the time.
You need to sift through the merchandise.

You'll find everything here: fair trade imports (e.g., Global Mamas), JCrew, LOFT, vintage brands with tags, vintage homemade things without tags, Clinique makeup, stationery sets, a jumbo Pooh plushie, soap leaves from England, Italian leather belts, kitchen gadgets, a freaking pickaxe, bunk beds, &c.

Love shopping at a place with so many social missions. Re use materials to keep them out of the landfill, training youth, training homeless people, training blind to work. I bought so many items here while renovating my home. Look here first for furniture, building supplies before you buy new.

Their computer dept.
great professional service.
inexpensive as far as computers go.
they specialize in older computers, for newer computers and components you might find yourself running to bestbuy or staples for that computer part, if you want new.
but still the best service, and great repair work.
done in a timely manner.
i would highly suggest taking your malfunctioning computer there for repair.

This local nonprofit is the best! The nonprofit thrift store scene has gotten busy over the past few years, but these folks go back to 1991 when they started as ReCycle North on Pine Street in Burlington. Store sales fund awesome job skills training and poverty relief efforts.

Resource/Restore has lots of second hand items. Washing machines, dryers, electronics, computer monitors, books, music albums, furniture, children's items, glassware, craft items etc.
We bought a desk for our preteen for $50 and are really happy with it. We also got an extension cord, 2 metal spoons for our parrot to play with, some new markers, india ink with fountain nibs and a lamp.
It's always hit or miss, but always fun to wander through the store.

Love this place. You never know what treasure you'll find, but you're guaranteed to find amazing deals. Most importantly, repurposing reduces tons of unnecessary waste in landfills!

Pallets of completely unsorted clothes to search through. Always a lot of fun and everything is less than a dollar. I recommend giving yourself a few hours because it’s hard to stop.
