Screenland Armour Theatre

Love this theater! A great KC independent theater that shows both current movies and several classics. I’ve seen some cult classics there like The Last Dragon and Manhunter and they also often host events by Forever Bogus like old school SNICK nights or Are You Afraid of the Dark Marathons (looking forward to that this October). The staff is very friendly, laid back atmosphere, and nice cinematic decor. Additionally, they’ve added their vintage cinema themed attached bar, Rewind Video. I unfortunately forgot a photo of their great marquee but if you’re a movie lover you’ve gotta check this place out.

We have been to this theater three times now and every time I’ve adored it. This is truly a movie theater for movie people. From the bar downstairs having my favorite retro vibe to the lovely theater quality upstairs, this has become a tradition to stop by every visit to KC.
We recently drove 2 hours and 45 min just to come see “All of us strangers” because it wasn’t playing near us and to come visit this wonderful theater.

Always one of my favorite places to see movies. They have a pretty good food and drink selection now (I’m always looking for more lactose friendly menu options) but pretty good popcorn, which I look forward to when going. The people are always nice and helpful and they include a good selection of movies. I’m also always looking for the newest indie films and they usually get most of them, along with a selection of old classics.

Movie was great! Theater was wonderful! Cheap tickets and really cute atmosphere. Love seeing movies here. We will definitely be back! 10/10 one of a kind experience.

This is the best theater in the Metro area. I always check to see if the film I want to watch is playing here first. There might be bigger screens or more movie selections elsewhere, but nothing beats this place in terms of a great movie atmosphere.

We always love seeing the latest movies here. Staff is great, and we have our favorite seats we always try to get. For us it's is a good location for us.

Amazing independent theatre with great audio and video quality, awesome staff and a really cool vibe! Id watch a movie here over one of the theatre chains every day of the week!

Honestly the most comfortable theater I've ever been to! The prices are affordable. The staff were super cool and friendly. I'll definitely be going there for my future outings!

One of the best places in town to catch a movie. You can see first runs and classics, and they host amazing events throughout each month. An excellent environment, and the staff is amazing.

I love this place, it's cheaper than the big box theaters and they play a lot of fun old movies in addition to new releases - what's not to love?!

I love this place! I love the theme throwback movie nights they do, that let me see movies I never got the chance to see in the theater the first time around, like Aliens, Terminator, Star Wars, etc. Reasonable concessions, a bar, cool location in downtown NKC. The big chains can't touch the atmosphere.

Really awesome movie theater experience. Popcorn was good and even a little bit cheaper than I was expecting. I will definitely be back!

What a super cool local theater! I visited here recently for the first time for one of the Friday Night Fright screenings! We watched The Conjuring, and afterward there were 2 amazing guest speakers for a short Q&A. This was definitely worth the price of admission. The theater itself has a great vibe as well with it still showing off its age in such a great way. They have concessions and alcohol which is a huge plus. The staff there are also fantastic and seem to have an awesome time working there. Definitely recommend this place to anyone that has not been yet and I cannot wait to go back!

Great spot to watch a movie...they've been playing classic horror films and some newer ones all month long! Looking forward to seeing what they do during the next two months!

This locally owned historic 4 screen theater in North Kansas City, Missouri offers a great selection of mainstream hollywood , foreign, independent cinema, cult classics, and horror movies including horror festivals like PanicFest. The zainy locally edited movie previews offer something different from large corporate theater chains. Theaters can be rented for special events. The concessions bar offers soft drinks, cocktails, a rotating selection of beers, pizzas, bavarian pretzels/cheese, burgers, cheese sandwiches, nachos, hot dogs, and chicken sandwiches. Behind the theater is public parking and the entrance to a downstairs 1980's and 1990's themed retro bar that offers drinks, but food is only available upstairs.

Incredibly indie, good selection of recent blockbuster and arthouse films, plus screenings of cult movies. Good screens, audio, and seats too.
