Sunrise Cafe of Ocean City NJ

We came down on the off season and most places were closed, but we found this place. They had some great lunch specials which were only $10.

The portions were generous and it was all really good. I had the Buffalo empanadas, which were amazing! They also served breakfast all day, which was a nice option. We’ll definitely be back.

Stopped in on a weekday morning for brunch and cheerfully greeted by waitress. Received prompt service and helpful recommendations. Food great,pricing for portion served excellent, took leftovers home for meal the next day. Highly recommend them 👌

I was staying down the street visiting family and just walked in because it was the first place I saw that looked like they served breakfast. The place was very clean and organized. The host was very congenial and invited me to sit anywhere. My server was Olivia and she was delightful. I ordered the 3 egg veggie omelet with cheese. It was done perfectly. The veggies were very fresh. The coffee was good. The service: impeccable. Olivia provided just the right amount of attention. She was accessible without "hovering". I will definitely go back again when I'm in the area. The bill didn't make me feel guilty. When I got back, I told my neice and grandneice about it and they also had a great experience. Definitely give them a try.

What a great choice for a variety of breakfast food! Right off the Asbury strip sits Sunrise Cafe. They offer inside and outside seating(has enclosure from the elements). All tables are within social distancing procedures. The coffee is great served in their own branded mugs that are available for purchase. I ordered the breakfast empanada sampler. This was a great choice to change up the regular eggs and bacon routine. My wife ordered the biscuits and gravy. She had no regrets. I went on a sat morning around 10am during March and we had no trouble getting a table. I definitely recommend!

Sunrise was OUTSTANDING! The food is spectacular & the service is pinpoint 🎯 The hostess is truly phenomenal 💯 She greeted us warmly & kept us laughing during our visit lol We liked it so much our first visit that it was a no-brainer to go back the next day‼😉🫡

I know people love UBPH, but this is my favorite breakfast place in OCNJ. They have a nice small menu but with really good food. They have healthy alternatives and classic heart attacks on a plate. They added a covered outdoor area which makes seating even better, especially in the hot sun or the rain. They sometimes have a fly issue they need to find a way to consistently address.

Had a great breakfast here. We had a choice of inside or out. Chose outside. Very interesting because woman walked around with a hawk on her arm to scare away the seagulls. My granddaughters loved seeing this. I love these kinds of mom and pop restaurants. They are not fancy, but the food is usually always good. This one didn’t disappoint. Quality where it counts: fresh ingredients, generous portions, sturdy table, nice large cloth napkins, well balanced utensils, easy to handle menu, pleasant staff, excellent service, good prices.

We came on a Thursday in March, it was actually my birthday! There was only one server, her name was Anna. Funny because that's my name too. You can tell she just had a warm and kind soul. She was so helpful and attentive. The good was great as always. I got an omelet and she let me substitute broccoli instead of cheese. It was delish and then my boyfriend got the peanut butter and Nutella French toast which he really liked. And don't forget to get the fresh squeezed orange juice. There's nothing like it. You won't regret coming here. And ask for Anna :)

Cute breakfast place! The food was super affordable, especially for the area (2 eggs, potatoes and toast for ~$5). The banana bread French toast was amazing! Staff was friendly and we only waited 10 minutes for a table, even on a rainy day on a holiday weekend.

The Sunrise Cafe was such an amazing experience! I went for the first time yesterday, and the service was excellent. They got our larger party seated fast, the cafe was so adorable inside, and the food was AMAZING! I’d recommend this cute little cafe to anyone.😊

Sunrise Cafe never disappoints. My youngest and I walked over to Sunrise (as he says, we have to stop here every time we are in OCNJ). The food is fresh, delicious and plentiful. 4 pancakes which we took two home. So tasty!! I had the Huevos Rancheros. I added hot sauce. Everything was soo good. The waiter was pleasant and attentive. We sat outside which is always my preference. We will be back.

Good lord.... This food is amaze-balls. I kept stealing my BFs chunky monkey french toast... I got huevos rancheros with extra salsa Verde dumped all over it... Nom... Oh, and we started with the breakfast empanadas. #fatkidbrunch

Really good food. It's small inside, but they have a nice covered patio out front. I've been several times, and everything I've tried has been great. The past two times I've been there, I ordered off the specials menu. Both entrees were delicious (Lemon Poppyseed Pancakes and Meat Lovers Omelette - names might not be exact). Hopefully they both make it to the regular menu because I would order both of them again in a second.

OMG! I'm not sure where to start..let me just say the food was DELICIOUS 😋 I DEFINITELY will be going again tomorrow. We're in town visiting until Mon (today is Sat 10/17/2020). We were looking for breakfast places to eat & said we'd give this place a try..BEST DECISION EVER!!

I'm on vacation in the are for about a week. I went in one morning for breakfast, sat quietly reading in a corner, enjoying my food. The staff was very sweet, but not overbearing. The next morning, I once again walked to the Cafe for breakfast. The wonderful waitress remembered me immediately, and offered to quickly clear the table I had sat at the day previous. With the big windows, and cozy booths, it's such a beautiful place to start the morning.

Stellar service. Felt more like family than a customer. Food was good too
