The staff is friendly and quick to acknowledge. I was so eager to enjoy the breakfast I forgot to take pictures of the well plated dining experience. I had the #3 Breakfast which consist of cheese and bacon omelette, home fries, and chipped beef, with a side of toasted cinnamon bun(not sure if that’s the name) and Orange Juice. Great seating area, soothing music in the background and very kid friendly. Thank you to Dawn who was my server and ensured I had everything. Thanks to Emma, Dalton and Chris as well. Looking forward to another dining experience.

Great food. Was busy but they kept it moving quickly and only had to wait 5 mins! I’d get an omelette next time because they looked really big. But my cinnamon French toast was delicious

Our 1st visit since moving back after 13 years. What a cool place. Huge portions and a solid menu! Great price for the product! Our servers name today was Mel and she is friendly, knowledgeable and knows the importance of "table touch". We will return for sure!! If you haven't tried this place do it soon!

I’d been meaning to try this place out for awhile and finally got around to it last week. I had a wonderful experience at the Varsity Inn. Service was great, staff was friendly, and I enjoyed the atmosphere of the place. Our breakfast was incredible, this is definitely one of my new favorite spots to get breakfast in oc. If you’re thinking of trying it out, I definitely recommend! For anyone who likes their home fries crispy, this is definitely the breakfast place for you.

First time dining here for breakfast after following them on Facebook. To be honest, they are a bit on the pricey side. Their omelettes don't include toast ($1 for toast) so it's $14 for their omelettes with homefries and toast. $5 for a sticky bun. This being said, 5 stars because everything we ordered was delicious!! I ordered a special (bacon & cheese omelette with chipped beef over homefries)- wow! Bacon was cooked crispy and the omelette was perfect. My kids ordered the 5 star French toast with cinnamon butter- very good!! The staff were friendly. It's in a good location (we walked there) but I believe there are a few parking spots. We would definitely come back!

I've grown up at the Jersey shore and have been visiting Varsity Inn for half my life. Sweet and savory options, almond milk for coffee, and the best tomato soup in the area. The atmosphere & incredible staff really seal the deal.

We walked in around 10am expecting a wait but the hostess seated us right away. Everyone was friendly and our waiter was attentive.

I got the Western omelette and was surprised to see a side of hash browns come with them. Both were fresh, filling and scrumptious!

I'd definitely eat here again! Varsity's charm is in its college-themed decor. I doubt you'll go many places and find employees' nametags with their college name written on there, too!

I always try chili wherever I go… this “Soon to be famous Chili” is fantastic! Lots of beans, onions, peppers, cheese, and meat all combine to make a sweet and delicious Chili! If you like chili and are nearby… definitely stop in and give it a try.

SO I LIKE DOING REVIEWS TO HELP PEOPLE MAKE BETTER DECISIONS TO SEE IF IT WOULD SUITE THEIR NEEDS AND WANTS . SO I WAS ON THE JOB THAT DAY AND HAD A FEW HOURS TO SPARE. I DECIDED TO TRY AND FIND A BREAKFAST RESTAURANT SO OVER LOOKING THE REVIEWS I DECIDED TO TRY THE VARSITY INN I WAS GREETED AT THE DOOR, THERE WERE A FEW CUSTOMERS WASN'T REALLY NOISE. IT WAS VERY WELL DECORATED, CLEAN AND ORGANIZED. AS FOR THE PEOPLE I GOT A COUPLE NODS. NOW AS FOR MY WAITRESS WELL SHE STARTED OFF VERY WELL UP UNTIL THE POINT I ASKED ABOUT BOTTLED SPRING WATER. SHE CAME OFF A LITTLE ATTITUDISH. BECAUSE PERSONALLY I DON'T DRINK FOUNTAIN WATER OR LIKE ICE FROM THE MACHINE! BUT THE SERVICE WAS FAST. THE BREAKFAST WAS GOOD JUST WISHED THEY SERVED A LITTLE MORE FOR THE PRICE! AND BECAUSE I WORK IN THE SERVICE INDUSRTY I DID TIP HER BECAUSE HER SERVICE WASN'T BAD! BUT I THINK THE MANAGEMENT NEEDS TO EITHER TRY TO SUPPLY THE BUSINESS WITH HAVING SPRING WATERS FOR THOSE WHO HAVE A PREFERENCE. ALSO TRAIN THE STAFF WITH BETTER WORDING AND TO ALWAYS BE PROFESSIONAL WHEN SPEAKING TO CUSTOMERS! REMIND THEM THEIR ACTIONS DICTATES A RETURN CUSTOMER. BUT ALL IN ALL IT WAS STILL A GOOD EXPERIENCE AND I WOULD GO BACK.

Great original food this is a Grill cheese butterflied shrimp with asparagus. It was an amazing combo of flavor that i have yet to try, if u make ot oceancity NJ this is a spot to go.

Delicious breakfast! Really impressed with the portion size. Everyone's breakfast was delicious and we had a big group. Even the kids were happy. Service was good, coffee was full and nice ambiance. Would have returned if we had more time.

I had the pleasure to meet the owner, Chris yesterday. It was too hot for my favorite, the Red Raider, but my omelette was great and the chicken salad my wife had was very good. Nice to see the food is just as good with the new owner. Also, shout out to Annie the hostess. She was very nice.

Stopped in with my husband for a late breakfast, and really enjoyed the place. The staff were friendly and very helpful. The coffee was great, as were our breakfasts. Really enjoyed looking for our local pennants; the decor is fun and I spent more time looking around than at my food. Great place, but be aware that it can be a bit noisy at times, because it's busy. We didn't have to wait as people had just walked out just as we walked in.

A must-visit restaurant if you are in the Ocean City area. Varsity Inn is well known for its Baked Tomato soup. I've been hearing about it for years, and so I finally tried some. It exceeded all expectations. I do not normally enjoy tomato soup, but Varsity has converted me completely. From chunks of tomato blended in a creamy stock, to melted cheese draped across the top and deliciously flavored crutons, this soup is so far above and beyond other soups, it deserves it's own category. Maybe they can call it Baked Tomato Awesome. They have limited hours, so you need to get here earlier in the day, but if you are able to, you should certainly make a point of swinging by and trying this delicious food. After a cup, you'll be wanting more, and luckily enough they sell the soup by quarts and pints so you can take it with you to enjoy later. The other food I tried here was quite good, from normal breakfast fare like omelettes and pancakes, to lunch time sandwiches. I certainly will be coming back, and soon.
