Shriver's Salt Water Taffy & Fudge

Shriver's on Asbury Ave sets a new standard for bringing the boardwalk to Main Street!. The moment you step inside, the blend of classic counters and modern aesthetics creates a delightful atmosphere. The taffy selection is outstanding, boasting a wide array of flavors available in pre-packaged assortments or customizable options from bins. My favorite is the gelato!

The fudge, a true standout, surprises with its rich flavors and smooth texture, a welcome departure from the typical graininess found in most tourist spots. My only regret is not stocking up more on the exceptional fudge – a mistake I won't repeat. The Flagship store is located on the boardwalk, however Shriver's makes getting these sweets easily accessible with this store located in the heart of Ocean City's shopping district.

Got 5 pounds of fudge during our last visit in June 2022. Fudge always tastes fresh and creamy. Only fudge I got that I wasn't happy with was the chocolate marshmallow, as it was dry and older. The rest of my selections (chocolate and chocolate m&ms) is great. Out of the 5 pounds that we bought for 4 people, each person got something different and no complaints from them.

What fun! I realize taffy/candy stores are a staple at every boardwalk in America, but Shriver's is head and shoulders above anything I've ever encounter. Just walking in is a fun experience. It's a great mix of the old counters/displays and modern - well lit and clean. I especially liked the back wall - all glass with a view of the candy making operation.

The taffy is incredible. Great variety of flavors. You can buy specialty flavors or assortments already packaged in a variety of sizes. Or you can create your own assortment from dozens of flavors in bins. The fudge is truly amazing. Great flavors, creamy texture - vs the typical grittiness of most tourist destination offerings. Now that I'm home, I truly regret only buying 4 bars.

IMO this is a must-stop if you're in Ocean City. I live in NYC, so dropping in here is a challenge. BUT . . . they ship! Staff is very friendly and helpful. The store is sparkling clean and well organized. Really nice!

We love coming here, the selection of taffy is great and it also tastes very good, if you've had bad taffy before you know what I am talking about. The sugar free taffy collection is also great and doesn't have that horrible artificial sweetener taste.

We discovered Shrivers on a vacation to Ocean City 6 years ago. We’ve continued ordering their taffy online and shipping to Missouri, because their candy is the most exquisite treat we’ve ever had.

Be prepared to lose interest in all other candy. Nothing compares once you’ve tried Shrivers.

In our last order we tried the butter mints, and they are absolutely divine. Better than I could’ve imagined.

We visit Shrivers every year when we vacation in Ocean City. They have somehow managed to maintain the ambiance of an old-time candy store. Very clean, well lit, nostalgic, incredible selection, and we Love watching the antique Taffy machines, pulling taffy in the back of the store. Staff is always very helpful and friendly. I've never brought home a confection that I didn't like from here. They make the best fudge and chocolate truffles anywhere! Even if you don't like or eat candy and sweets, (and I don't eat candy, but my daughter does) you have to visit this place just once! It's such a fun, happy experience!

Shriver’s has my favorite fudge on the boardwalk. Great variety of flavors and the fudge doesn’t get stale super quickly. They also make really great taffy if you’re into that! You can watch them making the taffy from the windows in the back of the store. Shriver’s is a wonderful store on the boardwalk, and I always make sure to stop in here whenever I’m up there.

We bought salt water taffy in every flavor I was interested in and fudge as well. Definitely gonna come again to buy more!

Loads and loads of candy of all types and sizes. From generic candy to homemade fudge, there isn't a treat in the world that you can't find at this shop. It's clean, well-kept, and worth a visit.

This is your one-stop candy shop, they’ve got it all from gelato, truffles and fudge to over 40 kinds of taffy, even some sugar free options along the wall. Also some of the best souvenirs/postcards on the boardwalk, including an adorable mascot! Definitely have to visit.

Best fudge . Beware sugar free taffy contains Maltitol sweetener. Im allergic and get very ill . Others a must stop year round

Great store!! They sell much more than fudge & taffy. You can find many different types of sweets as well as shore-centric souvenirs. They make the salt water taffy right on site so you can watch how it's made. There are many manufacturers around but Shrivers is definitely one of the best!! They offer many different varieties and they are very full of flavor. Same for the fudge selections. They ship goodies too, so you can send some love to family and friends.

Huge candy store! Tons of selection from their famous salt water taffy and fudge to different selections of chocolate and candy! If you don't want to select from prepackaged boxes and bags, you can mix and match your own bag full of all your favorite treats. Prices are reasonable and staff is friendly.

Wall to wall candy of every possible variety, including old-time, hard-to-find favorites such as Bonomo's Turkish Taffy! Even in March they are open, friendly and well-stocked

Stopped by here while we were on Ocean City Boardwalk. They have a great selection of taffy and other candy. If you have a sweet craving, you will definitely find something here for you.

Best taffy on the boardwalk. Very chewy and well flavored. Fudge is good, but not as good as the taffy. They have a wide variety of candies to bring home, and you can order a box of taffy to be shipped to your house. Service is usually good, but as you would expect from a self serving candy bar, the ground is littered with dropped candies.

I love this store. It is frigidly cold in summer and comfortable in Winter. The coolness of their a.c. is a brief respot from the sometimes oppressive heat and humidity.
They are one of the cornerstones of the OCNJ boardwalk. Their butter cream candies melt as they hit your tongue. The store should consider making a sugar-free version.

They must have over 30 flavors of taffy, and 15 flavors of delicious fudge; among other assorted candies. It is a fun store overall, and the staff is very helpful and knowledgeable about what they sell. Go visit it when you are next in Ocean City.

They have the best salt water taffy at the Jersey shore hands down. The fudge is really good too.

This was my childhood candy stop back when I was little. They have so many flavors to choose from. If salt water Taffy's aren't ya thing, they have so many flavors of homemade fudge!!!!! Also pop rocks and other nostalgic candies. Go to the back of the store and you can see the machines at work whipping up fresh Taffy's! Prices are reasonable. Make it a go to spot next time you're on the boardwalk!
