Village Sport Shop Trailside

My friend and I were up riding Burke, Kingdom and victory for a few days. Unfortunately, his derailleur came loose and ripped a spoke THROUGH the rim on day 1. Leif was able to fix both quickly and get us right back out! We appreciated that he didn’t try to just sell us new parts (as a different shop did) and was able to fix what we had. Impressed and super stoked. Thanks for the kind service.

Broke a spoke riding Green Woodlands and was planning on riding KTA the following day. Called multiple shops in the area but only Matt was willing to take the job so close to closing time. He even ended up staying late just for me! Great service which let me ride with confidence the next day at Kingdom!

Rented an MTB. Great bike in great condition. Polite , helpful service. Helmets available unlike the other place up the road. Didn't need to pay for a Kingdom Pass either.

Nothing cooler than riding some incredible trails and stopping off here for a beer and to look over the side of the mountain. The staff is super friendly and a pleasure to be around. I cant wait to go back next season.

Can't thank VSS enough for all they have done for our school program. This was the first year working with them and they were nothing short of awesome. Coming to school to get students fitted ahead of time, managing gear throughout the year, communicating quickly when needed, and letting students take gear home throughout the season made our program so much more successful. I can't tell you the number of times students would come back over the weekend talking about being out with family or friends having a blast at one of our local mountains. Without VSS, some of our students may have not been on the hill at all. Plus it saved us time pulling up to the mountain each week because students had skis and boards in hand. If you are debating their lease program, I highly recommend it for schools, families, and individuals.

Let me say I live in CT and bike a fair amount in Vermont. I buy all my bikes and have all service done through these guys. They are top notch and very knowledgeable. I also love they have 2 location 1 in town and the other right on the Kingdom Trails

Perfect location, excellent service. I am an occasional MTB rider. Rented a bike for the day to go with family and friends who ride regularly. The bike was awesome and I was able to ride much more than I expected! Also enjoyed a beer at the end of the day and lunch from the adjacent food truck.

I busted my rear derailleur and rear wheel while out on a ride this weekend and had to hike my back up to the trailside shop. I brought it in and they shop workers were super friendly and helped me understand what was wrong and what would need to be done once I got back to my home shop.

The guys helped me remove the broken derailleur and chain from my wheel (they were wrapped in there), so I could get home and wait for the perpetually backlogged parts to come in.

I offered to pay for their help/time and they refused. I will for sure go back there and commend the level of service these guys gave me on such a short notice. It really made a bad situation a lot less stressful.

We rented a nice fat bike, and got a small bike repair done to our own bike, with an immediate turnaround. All was quick, efficient, masked. I really like this shop. Nice work and friendly staff. We enjoy this area and the folks here are nice. Always worth the trip.

These guys were awesome when we stopped in yesterday and needed some brake pads. They did new front and rear pads while we ate lunch, in spite of it being a busy Saturday. They were quick, friendly, and the brakes worked perfectly for another 10 miles of riding and then a day at the downhill. 100% recommend!

Had my freehub strip out on the first day of a three-day excursion to Kingdom trails. Ryan was fantastic in diagnosing the problem, locating a used wheel that I could use the rest of the weekend, and moving my tire and rotor to the new wheel. Was back on the trails in just over an hour, and he (and Tom, who lent me his wheel) saved my weekend (it was awesome). What fantastic service. Deeply grateful and would highly recommend this shop.

Loved it! (Location) Right at the center of the best of the Kingdom Trails network. (Bike Rental) We rented Pivot 429 Trail's for the wife and I / bikes were amazing. (Trails) The trails are terrific! (Craft Beer) After the ride the beer at the Hub was delish! (Staff) Super friendly and professional. (The Experience) We plan to return again and again!

Drove an hour to to ride Black Bear to find my rear tire flat due to a bad valve stem. Who comes along, the Village Sport Shop Trailside team and has me on the trail in no time. Thanks for your help!

Great place for a post ride libation. Great attitude, views, and Hill Farmstead on tap. Heaven.

What a great vibe at this place! The bar is a great place to grab a pint post ride, mid ride, whenever. Then the view makes the beer taste even better. A must stop on your Kingdom Trail rides.

I came in when my bottom bracket came loose and was assisted quickly by Cam, a newer employee to the shop. Despite it being a busy Saturday, I was back on the trails in 15 minutes. I came back the next day to chat with Cam and Tom (Todd?) about some upgrades and shop talk. They were very knowledgable, very personable, and not pushy at all. I thanked them and they said "That's what we're here for!" and gave a wave. I just wish I lived closer so this could be my bike shop.
