Mathis Plaza

This is really just a little parking lot along the water that are small town of South Toms River has provided for the public. It gives a great view of the upper terminus of the Toms River where the cedar Creek enters it and flows towards the bay. There are benches, displays of antique military equipment like a submarine and a torpedo. It's a perfect place to go and sit and calm yourself down a little bit if you need to. I used to work less than a quarter mile away and I took advantage of that regularly. It's especially beautiful during a storm where you can watch The rains and winds blow across the water.

Love sitting here when I'm trying to kill time watching the water and the birds... nice place to just sit and unwind!

Very cute for kids to run around also near water so great for fishing! They have some cool events and you can watch the boats!

A great place togo to at night with your self or your significant other when the ship is leaving the dock with the colors all light up it looks amazing and the fishing here is ok there is parking right next to the water so this is also a great place for winter to come visit and relax

A go to place to relax and unwind. Good parking right there too. Bring your fishing pole and cast a line, there's even a bait and tackle down the street at Captain Hippos!!!

Good deal at the hot dog cart. Ask for the lunch special. Clean operation.

What a wonderful memorial. It is so important to honor all of our heroes. We never want to forget there ultimate sacrifice to protect our freedom.

At the end of the Tom's River. Fishing crabbing and for the early birds great sunrise. I like the hot dog stand. Ice cream too. Pleasant spot.
