Knitting Niche

I visited last year and returned to see the owner . As a new knitter , I appreciated the advise and guidance . There are so many varieties and colors of yarns and patterns. Wonderful neighborhood yarn store. Wish we had one in Honolulu .

I always try to get my yarn here. The ladies that work here are always so helpful and if you ever have problems with a pattern I've seen them sit down with people and help them. They also have patterns and kits available. I bought the yarn to make this shirt from there. (The shawl was on display in the store.)

I went to the store looking and hoping that I could get additional yarn for the baby blanket I’m knitting. Although Vicki did not carry the yarn I needed, she was more than helpful. She reviewed the pattern/directions with me and gave me some tips.The store appears to have a nice inventory of yarns in all weights. I look forward to going back. I recommend trying it.

I visited the shop yesterday on a day trip to Ocean City. Vicki was friendly, super helpful and there was a great assortment of beautiful yarns. I am very excited about my purchase and looking forward to starting my project. I will definitely go back next time I am in OC, and I would highly recommend the shop to any yarn enthusiasts.

Cute little shop with floor to ceiling shelves filled with yarn of all types. When I went, they had a discount $5 area, as well as some nice wool yarns priced upwards of $50 (plus everything in between). All great quality. Janine was very welcoming and helpful! Loved it.

Stopped by this adorable little shop during our family trip in OCNJ. Very kind ladies provided great customer service. Despite being a small shop, they had a wide variety of yarns from which to choose. Cash only, but Wells Fargo ATM is nearby.

On a recent visit, I came across the shop. What a delightful gem. The section of yarn, patterns, and sample items for inspiration are incredible I mentioned the yarn I was purchasing was for few projects and currently I was dedicating my knitting time to knitting 14 scarves for a second grade inner city class of children. The owner was so gracious, and she donated yarn for the children. I left with a hug and felt I made a new friend. The Knitting Niche will be on my to do list along with a stop at Shrivers Candy shop for taffy.

Vicki, the owner, was a treat to meet and chat with. Lots of lovely yarns and some good sale items in the back room. Yes, there are no prices on the yarn, but she does have a price list available. This is not your supermarket style of shop. If you want that, there are other places to go. This is a charming little shop that begs for you to explore and slowly browse the many varied fibers, weights and colors.

Bring cash, she doesn't take credit, debit or checks. One very small inconvenience in a delightful place.

Very nice yarn store! Exactly what I was looking for, lots of choices of very good and interesting yarns, and a knowledgeable owner, Vicki, who was so helpful and pleasant. I will certainly be returning for future purchases! Highly recommend!

Cute and cozy yarn shop! We were greeted upon entering the shop and given a tour of the available yarns. For a small shop, there was a nice collection of beautiful yarns, some with free patterns. There were also supplies such as knitting and crochet needles, pattern books, and a few extra items such as shawl pins. The yarn selection included cotton, wool, alpaca, bamboo mixtures, silk and other yarns of different weights and colors. There was also a back room with some discounted items. Definitely worth visiting when you are looking for a knitting project while vacationing in Ocean City.

Great variety including an impressive supply of ombré yarns in various weights. Shop takes cash and check only. The owner is friendly and helpful.

No, the yarn isn't priced. .but that is because the prices from the manufacturers change with regularity.
What this shop has is charm galore! The owner has more knitting knowledge and expertise than most knitters have in their little finger, and she is patient beyond belief, helping with any small detail from start to finish.
She doesn't take credit cards...so what? There are a million ATMs in Ocean City, including one at the Wawa one street over. You will never find a yarn shop to equal this. If you like buying mass produced garbage yarn at big box stores you will want to adjust your thinking cap before shopping here. It is small, cozy, mom and pop, expert service, beautiful inventory, and so very unique and lovely.

Great and friendly staff. Had lots of helpful tips and suggestions for patterns, and great conversation! Friendly and supportive atmosphere. Cash and check only, but Vickie (the owner) was more than happy to ship my purchase (I was traveling overloaded already and couldn't carry more but couldn't leave my treasure behind) can't wait for my next visit!

While I was on vacation in Stone Harbor I made a mistake with my knitting project. I wasn’t experienced enough to remedy the problem on my own and tracked down the knitting niche. Vicki and Janine were extremely pleasant & helpful and I left the shop with my problem solved. Couldn’t leave without purchasing some of their beautiful yarn and looking forward to visiting the shop again when “down the shore”.

This is a delightful local yarn store! I arrived 25 minutes before closing and they couldn’t have been nicer to me. I was shown around the store and had a great time visiting with them. They made me aware of the sale items and explained how the store Is organized. They have lots of beautiful things and I can’t wait to go back again!

It's had to find a true yarn store but Ocean City has one! The knitting niche on Asbury! A helpful owner and staff and such beautiful yarns you just may want to wear sweaters year round...:)

This is great little yarn store with all weights and types of yarn. The shop owner is very nice and helpful. I will visit here again next year when I am on vacation.

the lady here was very nice and helpful, I loved her wide selection of yarns and they were reasonably priced for being top shelf yarns in my opinion :)

I've been in lots of yarn stores from here to Boston. This is one has one of the best varieties of brands, yarns and colors.
