Blackbeard Espresso

Nice little coffee shop. I had an eggnog latte and it was perfect!! Wasn't pure milk, delicious taste of the roasted espresso and my favorite winter flavor with the eggnog added. Really happy with my choice for morning caffeine on my visit downtown.

I extract espresso at home, and though I’m still learning… this place shows what a true espresso has the potential to taste like! Not bitter, not sour, just great coffee. Best shop I’ve tasted yet (ps muffins are great too)

great service, excellent coffee…limited hours but worth going to if you’re in louisville. especially if you’re visiting and downtown. they’re on main st next to 21c hotel.

I'm a coffee snob, and so I don't rate coffee shops lightly. Blackbeard's very friendly and solicitous staff make this a must visit though. I ordered a blackberry latte, which is a flavor I've never tried before, and the barista suggested a small (and free of charge) shot of vanilla to compliment the flavor of the fruity syrup. It was a great choice and was greatly appreciated by me. I wish more baristas would go above like he did.

This facility is small, so be prepared to sit solo at a table top, stand, or get it to go. However, the food and beverages were good. Their egg & cheese bagel was fresh and the Brown Sugar Cinnamon Latte was nice. The prices were fair and the same as other coffee shops in the vicinity.

Maple & sausage breakfast bagel is OUT OF THIS WORLD! Great espresso, too. Popped into Blackbeard twice while staying at a nearby hotel. Great stuff.

Fall in a Cup 🍂 is the perfect autumn drink, I got it iced and was not disappointed. They also have dairy-free and gluten-free snack bars (10/10 would recommend). Comfort vibe plus comfy seats.

Stopped for a coffee before hitting the road and the seasonal Mexican Mocha was perfect. The coffee and espresso drinks are made well and the service was excellent; friendly, knowledgeable about the drinks, and prompt. Worth a visit for a coffee fix between bourbon trail stops.

This coffee was delicious and the girls working there were so kind and helpful! If you ever are walking in downtown Louisville make sure to stop here for a nice pick me up. They let me know the owner roasts the coffee from his garage. Support local.

Stopped by on a rainy Saturday morning. Friendly staff and quick service. Ordered a nitro cold brew, latte, and americano and pleased with all of them. A small selection of baked goods but they were tasty as well.

Friendly staff, fun & delicious drinks & pastries! We were too late for bagels so we'll have to come back again another day. If you haven't had Blackbeard's Curse you need to come by and try it! Love how chill it was inside!

Cup of happiness!!!! We haven’t been to a coffee shop since before Covid and this place does NOT disappoint!! Wonderful staff and awesome prices! Highly recommend!!

This place is ridiculous. No effort to cater to customers. I don't care attitude. "Don't sell 2%, it just too much work and I'm so busy." No line, and 5 people in the restaurant. This place is a joke.

A nice vibe in downtown Louisville. Paid $3 for an espresso. Service is quick and nice. A simple chill out spot

I have been craving a good frappe since my favorite cafe closed a few months ago, and I haven't had much luck...until I discovered this place!
My husband and I stopped in for frappes (mocha and caramel) and they were splendid!! Not only were our drinks phenomenal, but the staff was super friendly! They definitely added to the already welcoming and cozy vibe!
If you get a chance to stop in, DO!! I am so glad to have stumbled upon this hidden gem, and will definitely be returning the next time I'm in the area!

Nice, quaint and chill location with excellent coffee options, both hot and iced. The Cuban caramel con leche is simply perfection! Can’t go wrong with excellent coffee here!

Well these are just about the nicest people ever! The cappuccino was delicious, as was the Southern bagel sandwich (hooray for pimento cheese). The staff was friendly and helpful! Thanks for making my first trip to Louisville off to a great start!

We just stopped in while we waited for our experience at Barrels and Billetts to start. I ordered the drip coffee and a blueberry muffin. Both were very good. I'm a Starbucks girl, so I am always unsure about trying other coffee. The girls behind the counter were very friendly. The place was very clean and had plenty of room to sit back and enjoy our coffee.
