I have enjoyed doing business with the passumpsic bank on railroad st , the customer service is amazing they are very pleasant I enjoy talking to them, in the yrs I've been doing business there I've only had one issue with a woman who set up my daughter's saving account the woman was very rude and just disrespectful towards me.

Do not open an account here. Do not open an account here. I was a SVP in the financial industry for over 20 years and I can, with full confidence say this is the worst bank and worst service I have ever seen. Credit unions, online banking, big box banks - choose any of those options before you bank here. While you may get friendly enough tellers at the window you will not receive any sort of consistent or fully competent service and the products lack the competitiveness anyone carrying larger balances is looking for.

Money deposited into the wrong account, zero follow up on time sensitive items regarding probate, employees inability to fulfill "promises" made regarding your accounts, lack of professionalism, refusal to transfer to branch mangers, inability to use the phone system resulting in numerous hang ups during simple transfers (well over a dozen times), inordinately long wait times for replacement cards after having fraud three times in three years, zero fraud policy to make your account whole after being a victim, antiquated banking practices, use of rude and incompetent third party providers - it gets much worse and I could go on but, isn't this enough? And they'll say, well we're just a small town bank but I call BS on this as well - my last bank was only 13 branches in Polk County and we operated competitively with any bigger bank in the state. I've asked numerous times to speak with or meet with the SVP of Retail Services, who lives in my town, again told that is impossible.

I've asked my husband to take off half a day so we can open another account with a larger provider in the area. I was so hopeful to say with a smaller bank and move all our accounts to one place but it will never be this horrible bank.

Terrible bank. They go out of their way to hit you with overdraft fees, to the point that they don't deserve to use "community" in their marketing literature or name (if they do). They took money out of my account for a payment, then three days later they return the full amount for insufficient funds--when there was more than enough funds in the account and they had removed the money from my balance days prior. It's as if they use a formula in which if at any point in time throughout the day your account could have been in the negative, they hit you with a fee? In this instance the money was shown as having been withdrawn from my account on the bank's app, but the Branch manager assures me it was not. So it appears as if you can get hit with an insufficient funds fee with money in your account, and even the branch manager shrugs her shoulders and says "its the way the system works." In the process of switching banks.

Worst Bank I have ever Delt with . I feel like I'm a kid again having to ask if I can take my money out of my bank account, its my money. I should be able to take out as much as I need. They should be no restriction when it comes to using my debit card or ATM withdraw amount.
