80/20 @ Kaelin's Restaurant

I loved loved the pimento cheese app. Let's just get that outta the way. I liked the hush puppies, but it didn't seem very much like there was jalapenos in them? The service was great. He was as sweet as he could be, working on his day off with such a kind demeanor and so helpful too. I enjoyed my cherry limeade!! The beer was cold and good The burgers were eh. Not incredible, not bad at all, but I was hoping for more with almost $20 on a burger alone. All in all would definitely return to try other food! Good atmosphere too.

My burger was great. The fries were awesome. Super crispy. I dipped them in the 80/20 sauce. After I finished i was stuffed, but I went upstairs and had a chocolate malt anyway. It was fantastic.
A lot of the other food I saw being taken to tables looked awesome too. Definitely worthy of my recommendation!

Leah was a terrific server. Our bar drinks were good. The broccoli cheddar soup was so thick that you could use a fork. Very tasty. The Benedictine BLT was great with the fresh Cole slaw. The brisket over potatoes was spiced nicely and was easy to eat. We also had pulled pork and cheeseburger
We all came home with extra, enough for lunch tomorrow too. Thanks for making lunch.

Meatloaf dinner was amazingly and surprisingly delicious! Best I've had in town - the meatloaf and the sides. Upscale restaurant presentation and taste at affordable price. Plus, service was tops! I was simply impressed ...period!

Absolutely delicious burger!! Saw this cute little place while driving by and decided to stop for lunch. Great decision!! Burgers were perfect. Beer cheese and pretzel bread was perfect. Ice cream.... perfect. Blake our server .... perfect. What a great gem of a restaurant. Clean, friendly and perfect!!

Typical Saturday night my wife and I along with our favorite couple friends. We ended up at 80/20 and were not disappointed. The atmosphere was electric. It's a restaurant with bar vibes. The food was delicious and out waiter Will was very attentive, but not overbearing. Wasn't a fan of the beer cheese...... we wanted to try a little of everything as you can tell by the photos. We also had the bourbon ice cream.......must have.

Located in the original brick and mortar location of Harlan Sander's fried chicken empire, this adorable restaurant has a nice variety of Southern dishes and tasty beverages. Clean and bright, with friendly staff and great decor, it's worth a stop off the highway. Highly recommend the fried pickles, and of course the Fried Chicken is a must try. (they don't use the KFC recipe but theirs is pretty good!)

Pro tip: entrance is in the back of the building, and the "malt shop" is part of the restaurant.

Our Server Nathan was fantastic! The true definition of above and beyond for customer service! I worked in the food industry for 5 years. I can tell he truly cares about his job. Even on a busy Saturday night he was giving 110%. I will be returning with friends and family and hope Nathan serves us again! Thank you!!

Food amazing service top tier drinks to die for and the house made shakes and icecream is amazing! They always seat me quickly and the servers are the best! I love the interiors and the restrooms are always very clean. The decor is rustic and a great space for a group or dining solo! I really enjoyed the the food and drink specials. Love the patty melt the beef stroganoff and their amazing meatloaf is the bees knees. Their goofy goober punch and margarita are my favorite drinks. The appke butternburbon and the cookies and cream are my fav desert options in scoops and milk shake!

One of our favorite restaurants! Have been here many times and always leave loving the food and having a great overall experience. Our first visit here, all the staff wore flannels, and that pretty much sealed the deal for me!

We love how they serve a variety of foods, desserts, and drinks. We were recently seated in the diner & malt shop space and it was so cute! With the weather being warmer out, they have plenty of seating options both indoor and outdoor. They have a beautiful outdoor patio and balcony seating.

Definitely be sure to check out the specials on the back of the menu as they’re always changing. We’ve ordered almost everything on the menu over time and would recommend any of it. Their burgers are probably the most popular with us, but their sandwiches are also pretty amazing!

My fiancé and I had our engagement party here recently and loved it! The general manager Chad, was extremely accommodating, professional, friendly and helpful! If you need somewhere to just grab some quick food, or if you’re looking for a space to plan an event, this is the place for you! I cannot recommend this place enough!

Met some friends here for dinner last Saturday night. What a gem! The only drawback was parking, although the neighborhood had plenty of open space nearby. Staff were very friendly. Quite an extensive selection of beers, great appetizers, dinner entrees and awesome burgers. We ordered the beer cheese appetizer, and various burgers for dinner, along with a meatloaf entree. The burgers were cooked to order and delicious, and the accompanying fries were hot, crispy and had just enough seasoning! The meatloaf looked and tasted awesome. My son ordered a chocolate shake from the adjacent malt shoppe with his dinner and it was the perfect thickness and chocolatey! I had the Kalamazoo Stout which was dark, rich, and creamy, with hints of coffee and chocolate. My wife really enjoyed the Fretboard Strawberry Blonde Ale. If you're in the area do not pass this place up!

We ate at the bar and the service was fantastic. The food was well made and tasted very fresh. I hope to return soon.

Absolutely loved it. I went today for my friends birthday. Andy was our server, he was fantastic. My friend had gotten an order of the brussel sprouts as an appetizer, I tried one...delicious. I ordered the chicken thigh sandwich meal with an extra side of brussel sprouts because I was hooked. My meal was great. 10/10 would recommend going here.

Cool place near a neat part of the area. Parking was a bit of a hassle but once inside we forgot about it. The restaurant is in an old house but remodeled and looks great. We were seated upstairs so the noise level was alright for us. They played a great line up of music (in our opinion). Daniel was our server and he was outstanding. He knew everything very well and guided us through our first visit there with all the "best choices". Pretty sure everything is good there. The burgers are the best, I've personally, ever had. You can taste the cast iron skillet cooking method with every bite. It makes a difference. So delicious! Their milkshakes are great too! To me, they are doing everything right from food, ambience, service, and price. It's well worth going and enjoying a great afternoon or evening with family and/or friends. I'll certainly go back when in Louisville again, and will recommend to all family and friends who want something great to eat. Thank you Daniel, and thank you 80/20 Kaelin's. Keep cooking on!

We had a wonderful experience during a special luncheon held in the large private room. From initial planning phase, the service we received was top-notch. Really great space to have an event, the servers (Stephanie, Blake, Daniel) were amazing, very attentive and took care of all the guests. Special callout to chef Matt for helping us create a variety of menu options. The General Manager Chad was extremely accommodating, and went over the top to help to make sure everything was perfect. Thank you!

Food here is the best around. Service is always good and friendly. When you need to best cheese burgers in town this is it. I will keep going here for the rest of my life. The only regret i have is that for 30 years i have seen this place and im just now trying it. Go get ya some and you will know what i mean!
