Schaefer Autobody Centers is a very Professional Business. They gave me an appointment time, they were prompt in greeting me upon my arrival. My estimate was completed in minutes and Jackie was kind throughout the Process. When I picked up my vehicle it had been detailed, looked great and I’m thankful for the good customer service. I didn’t meet the technicians, but I would imagine they’re a great team also.

Our overall experience with Schaefer was excellent! My husband's parked car was struck on the rear driver's side door and the claims process was fast and easy for us. We were given an estimate from Schaefer in early July with an appointment in early September. I think we assumed (there's that word) that the parts needed to replace the door would be ordered while we were waiting for our appointment. We also assumed (yep, again) that it wouldn't take that long to repair once we dropped it off. We dropped it off the night before our appointment due to shift work conflicting with normal human business hours, and my husband then received an update the next day that the parts were being ordered. Wait, what? I called later that week for an update when my husband hadn't received one, and I explained to the Schaefer employee (Jackie) that we were not told that the process included not ordering parts before our appointment - although now we know it's so they can do a complete disassembly to see what is actually needed. Jackie was very kind and apologized for the miscommunication, and offered to help us secure a rental if we needed one. She said that they actually had to order more parts than anticipated after doing their review, but luckily the parts arrived when anticipated. Altogether, it took 7 business days before we got our car back, which was one day earlier than predicted. Bottom line, I wouldn't hesitate to use their services again! If there is a next time (hope not, knock on wood, etc.), we will know to not assume and ask more questions about the process. Thank you, Schaefer!

They worked with me when price changes occurred with parts needed for my car - grateful for their sensitivity to my needs. My car looks good as new after a lot of body work!

Came in to fix frontal damage after an accident. My initial review was glowing, as everything looked great from the outside, but the car has steadily been having more and more issues and feels wrong when driving, so I finally checked everything in the engine bay and discovered this massive issue. I own a subaru and the airbox is two pieces. One piece flew out in the accident and the other was cracked. They never replaced either nor did they even bolt the airbox back in so it was getting dust, debris, and water directly into the engine. No idea how bad the damage is yet, but they also failed to install the fog light cover correctly, left out one of the plastic engine bay curtains, and didn't fix a latch in the trunk until I pointed it out twice.
Edit: As of 4/20/2021 all issues have been handled excellently by Schaefer, and the customer service in getting this fixed has been excellent. No long term damage was caused to my knowledge and the car drives like new now!

I enjoyed an easy and seamless estimate and repair process with Schaefer Autobody. They made it very easy to work around my schedule to get my vehicle to them and even offered a towing service to get my vehicle from one repair center to another. I was able to drop my car off and then pick it up one week later.

Although the damage to my vehicle was not extensive, it did require a couple of large parts to be paint matched and installed on the vehicle. My vehicle looked perfect once I got it back from the shop and I could not be happier with how it turned out.

Brittany, the service writer for my claim, kept me up to date on everything that was going on with my vehicle and when I should expect to get it back. I plan on going to Schaefer for any future autobody repair services that I need.

They kept in communication letting me know status and expectations. They told me things available to me on the person’s insurance who hit me…a rental car. I was so grateful to have that as my car was gone for 10 days. They even finished early. They were repairing the back end of my car but cleaned the inside of my car for me. Awesome service!

Took my car in for an estimate after a car scraped the driver side rear door at a stoplight. Waited about two months until they could fix my car. Was very satisfied with the repair. Have used Schaefer in the past & been very happy with their work.

Employees are all very nice and helpful. My car was in and out in 5 days. They set me up with enterprise for a rental, which went smoothly. They also dealt with the insurance company for me.

I drove into a flash flood in our recent bad weather- I could not see it because of the heavy rain and the changing road contours. Most places would not accept a flood-damaged car to work with insurance on whether it was recoverable. I appreciate Schaefer taking receipt of the car from the tow truck. After being declared totaled, I had to remove some personal possessions and the people at Schaefer in Webster Groves were very helpful. They also removed my license plates and gave me some bags for the surprising amount of material I wanted to take away and was not water damaged. This included helping remove the kayak holder, which I had trouble seeing the mechanism we needed to unwind. No problem, a gentleman from Schaefer saw what was required and we worked together. They had previously done outstanding bodywork on the same car when a garbage truck hit it while my car was parked outside my house. 21 years old at its demise, it was a great car, and I appreciate Schaefer’s help.

Schaefer was amazing! They were kind, professional, and did an AWESOME job with my car. I was there to get some body work done after having been in an accident, and the repair job is absolutely perfect. They also completely simplified the paperwork process, and I had almost no forms to fill out for either the insurance nor the rental car I needed while the repairs were being done. They made it so simple, so easy, and gave me an outstanding repair job. I would recommend Schaefer to anyone.
