Heine Brothers Coffee - MidCity Mall/The Highlands

We ordered coffee here for togo. The coffee was soooo good. It gave me energy, and the taste was amazing. The atmosphere is comfy and serene. The bathroom is accessible via a code. If you ask, they will tell you. The bathroom's vibe doesn't match the coffee shop's vibe. It had a bunch of graffiti and looked dirty. I would come back here to chill and drink coffee, though. We were here Saturday morning, and there were barely people. It still took time for three coffees to be made.

Great coffee! Ordering was easy and the drinks were ready quickly. Even the fellow customers are great lol. We were visiting from out of town and planning our day. Someone near us overheard and came of some cool Louisville recommendations!

Stopped in Heine brothers coffee while visiting Bardstown Rd in Louisville. I like the simplified coffee menu and options available. Tried a toasted coconut and got it “iceberg” which was much like a Frappuccino. Tasty and refreshing.

Fresh brewed coffee! Staff was very friendly and coffee was excellent. Every booth has power and USB ports to charge your phone 📱

I am not a coffee drinker, so I got an Earl Gray tea. I had just downloaded the app and didn't know how to use it and the barrista patiently helped me. Service was excellent and the tea was great.

Forget the commercial coffee with the mermaid. This place has delicious fresh coffee in a funky atmosphere that welcomes everyone

I love this particular Heine Brother's Coffee branch. Great service, friendly staff, nice view, and I love the organic coffee and tea here.

On the Thursday after Christmas, it was busy, but we were able to find a table. I also noticed an electric car charger.

Very reasonable price. Awesome staff and I love that their straws are biodegradable! Enviro friendly is always a plus in my books! The frozen hot chocolate was a hit.

Great sunny location in the heart of the Highlands neighborhood with excellent views and terrific people watching. Lots of locals come here to socialize and study. Friendly baristas, great coffees and treats, plus a roomy outdoor seating area that is only missing shade. Overall a great cafe much improved since moving from the dark Carmichael's location across the street.

This Heine Brothers is just a cool place. The service was efficient and friendly, my coffee was hot and fresh, and the selection of breakfast pastries was impressive.

Stopped by for the first time yesterday and got a frozen cappuccino. Absolutely amazing! Loved it and will return again.

Great location, speedy and conscientious service, great people working here! Can't recommend this place highly enough, always have a good experience. I like to go inside even when getting stuff to go, because it tends to be faster than waiting in the drive-thru.

I love the fair trade aspect of this place and the coffee/tea is always wonderful. The quirky staff are super friendly most of the time. I enjoy the atmosphere of the restaurant and the vegan breakfast wrap is delicious! Only coffee shop I really like anymore, so I will be back!

I know it's a chain but it's a local chain so there's that. This location is always very clean and friendly, and it's often an inexplicably quiet spot in the busy highlands. Their blueberry lemon scone is great, as are all of the baked goods I've tried there. Drinks are very pricey but their dirty turmeric chai with black pepper is delicious and unique. If you visit regularly be sure and get their app - paying with the app earns you cash value rewards which I cash out pretty frequently. Plus you just link a card so there's no annoying reloading in $5-$10 increments like the mermaid makes you do.

Great location next to a book store in the heart of the highlands. Staff is always friendly, although I've had some drinks before that were lacking in quality. We'll chalk it up to newer employees. Always a convenient and quick stop for coffee any time of day.

I've been a regular customer at this store for many years now. We buy the Front Porch blend (highly recommended!) and wouldn't consider purchasing coffee from another source. The baristas are friendly and remember me when I come in. Love the coffee, love the coffee drink varieties, love the convenience, love the bean club and other perks!

Star Bucks nooooo! Heine is fabulous! The taste is completely different! It’s crazy because I don’t love coffee and I’d rather have tea, but theirs changes my mind. Makes me a lover. The Carmella is my fave and their shake up teas with your choice of berries is so refreshing!!!!
