Such a popular place which is a great sign in itself but they means you will wait on a Friday. It’s worth the wait for sure. The shrimp, beer battered cod, and the pizzas are fantastic. Drinks are good too.

Food was not to my expectation however, the service and the atmosphere was amazing. There was a lot for children to do if you have kids definitely visit this place.

I took our family to Mineshaft, Hartford for our Christmas celebration. We had 20 in our group ages 4 to 84 and enjoyed the afternoon very much. When I got there ahead of everyone, I ordered appetizers with the hostess for when we would be seated and that worked very well. We met an hour before seating in the bar area and enjoyed drinks and a visit. We were seated at exactly the time requested and enjoyed the appetizers while ordering from the menu. The waitress, Courtney, was absolutely excellent! Orders were taken in a timely manner while we enjoyed the appetizers. Meals were all different and the menu gave everyone the choice of their favorites from pizza to sandwiches to steak. Courtney brought the meals out as they were ready, cleared empty plates from the tables and was ready for our dessert orders. We had 2 tables and where we were seated felt like we were the only family there on this very busy day! Next came the game room fun. What a perfect way to celebrate 🎄Already looking forward to next year!!! Thank you, everyone at Mineshaft!!!

Love the food and service. The staff is very friendly and quick. This place is wheelchair accessible. The game room is fun for all ages. The restaurant and bathrooms are always very clean. Prices are very reasonable as well as all the weekly specials have have.

What a fun discovery! Place is huge, but very cozy and inviting. Tried the fish fry (perch and poor man's lobster), and it was delicious. Soup wasn't listed, but I asked the server, and she brought me a bowl of some of the best clam chowder I've had in a while! Looks like they have a fun drink menu as well, so can't wait to come back! Well worth the 2 hour drive!

Fun place! Celebrated my birthday and the specialty cake was made by Dawn's Delights.

We went for their all you can eat Fish Fry. I had the beer battered cod and my wife had the poor man's lobster (baked). My potato choice was the seasoned fries my wife tried the tots. The fries were great, the tots were good but bland. We really liked the cole slaw so much we each had seconds. The price for the meals was 9.99 each and you can't beat that. We each had specialty drinks that were very good but a bit expensive for the small amount you received. The server was very pleasant. Highly recommend!

Went to lunch at The Mineshaft on a Monday afternoon. Hannah was a wonderful server and the food was excellent. The atmosphere was quiet as it was not crowded. We had the daily special which was an open-faced prime rib sandwich with a side of fries and the beef mushroom potato soup. All of that was only 9.99. The soup was large and very filling, so much so that most of my actual meal went in a left-over box. The open-faced prime rib sandwich was tender and delicious (as well as the fries). We also had the bottomless sprecher's root beer floats and the deep-fried dill pickle chips as an appetizer. I'd recommend every bit of it. It was all delicious and we will definitely return!

Went for a fish fry that I've had in the past and found it to be good. The only problem is that on occasion the fish came out luke warm. On this day I explained the issues I had in the past to the waitress and asked her to be sure the fish was HOT. Well from the first serving to the last all of our food was HOT and very good. I definitely will return.

Fiancee decided to take our daughter and I here know our daughter would love the game room. Because of the game room the wait didn't seem to take long. Our waiter was great. Anytime we needed something else he was right there to get it for us. Will definitely be coming back again.

I was just at Mineshaft with my family of 20 as we gathered in memory of my son who had passed. We had Sam as our server this year and I just want everyone to know that she did an outstanding job. She was pleasant and very helpful. She made sure that everyone had what they requested and never did we need to wait for anything. The food was great and we all had a wonderful time getting together as a family. Kudos to Sam! This was the 2nd year that we did this and hope we can all do it again next year at the Mineshaft. The Mineshaft remains reliably great and still one of the best value restaurants in the whole region. The daily specials are outstanding and the food is quite good. The rustic decor is well-maintained, never becoming tired and run-down. The owners have clearly made a commitment to quality and value. Highly recommended.

The restaurant was really busy and the waitress was really attentive and very nice. She came to our table and apologized that our food was taking a while. But when our food came out, my poor man lobster was very good and tasty. Then we ordered the boozy milkshake and OMG, and it was really good. The service was wonderful, and our waitress was a total rockstar.

This is a review I am hesitant to leave because I don't want to be a reason for an uptick in business. We often have to wait for a table or have trouble finding parking, but if it's worth it. The AYCE Friday fish fry for $9.99 is awesome. The restaurant is lively and the staff is friendly and helpful.

The mineshaft restaurant in Hartford Wisconsin is well worth the 30 minute one-way trip my wife and I made on this particular day. The mineshaft is probably the ONLY area restaurant that actually has “pre-pandemic” level pricing on many of their restaurant items.
Specifically, current pricing on a fish fry, which includes tartar sauce, coleslaw, marble rye bread, and either tater tots or fries is only $9.99! And here’s the topper… It’s ALL YOU CAN EAT folks!
I highly recommend you check out their website to verify that that is still there Wednesday or Friday special… But please consider making the trip out to Hartford because it is a great value and their servers are excellent… In this our server was “Amanda“ and my wife and I were both highly impressed with her attentiveness despite Our visit during a busy lunch rush.

Was absolutely fantastic, 1st time there. The only issue I had..which I understand there is a game room above...was that the booth we sat in must have had DDR or a jumping stomping game directly above us. Food was amazing, staff was absolutely fantastic and very attentive. I would absolutely recommend the mineshaft..I just might choose a different area of the restaurant next time.

We were there for lunch today. Service was fast. Food was good. Love the mozzerela sticks. The salads were good too. Maybe a little too much bacon on my salad, but not many people will complain about that. Our server was awesome. Always there with drinks and to see how things were. The building was clean and in good repair. Definitely recommend. We went upstairs for some games after. Enjoyable day with the family made better by the Mineshaft.

Service was awesome! Had deep fried fish and fries. Served hot and done appropriately. Game room is upstairs, so expect a bit of ceiling noise. You can park on main street, but there is large parking lot in back as well. We went on Wednesday night for fish because Friday nights are super busy.

Very cool place! Great for family, kids and friends! There were 4 of us, 2 couples and we each had our own pizza's! Great service and the pizza's were delicious!
