I’ve been going here for almost 15 years. They do an amazing job with my cat and dog. Prompt, professional, and caring. Highly recommend.

Wonderful, compassionate, PATIENT veterinarian! Dr. Rojohn and his wife are both phenomenal. Our family has been going here for over 30 years and whitnall small animal hospital has always provided us with the best care and great education to keep our fur babies healthy and happy.

Update: So I've seen a lot of reviews about Dr. Rojohn's bedside manner and such. He IS very blunt, yes. But Dr. Rojohn errs on the side of CLARITY and being informative over winning personality competitions.

His primary focus is the health and safety of your pet... his patient. When we walk away from a vet appointment, we always know EXACTLY what we are doing, what our pets need and where our pets' health is at. Dr. Rojohn and his wife Joan will answer all of your questions and take as much time as needed to explain things. He is clear, concise and I have personally found him to be very compassionate towards us and our pets.

I'll admit that Dr. Rojohn does not have the greatest bed side manner and can come off condescending, but he explains options, risks and potential side effects very well so that an informed decision can be made. I have always found the receptionist very helpful and sensitive to my dogs needs. I have been to larger facilities with numerous vets. Dr. Rojohn is the only vet and I feel he gets to know my dog and if he does charge a little more I'm willing to accept that.

This was the worst experience I have EVER had with a vet. Where to start...

1. The medicines Dr. Claire prescribed for my cat were extremely overpriced. When I told Dr Claire that I could get medicines for much cheaper he turned into the worst used car salesman I had ever dealt with and I received an unwanted lecture. After the unwanted lecture it seemed Dr. Claire did not want to give me the prescription so I could try to save myself some money by buying elsewhere.

2. Dr. Claire did not seem to know or care to tell me about side effects from medications and how to deal with them. My cat was diabetic and needed to be eating regularly to take insulin. Dr Claire put my cat on antibiotics that killed my cats appetite resulting in an emergency situation and extreme trauma for my pet.

3. I told Dr. Claire all along that my plan was to treat my cats diabetes myself at home because I am not rich and couldnt afford daily vet visits. He was very much against this and I believe treated me somewhat rudely because home treatment would take his profit away.

I wish I had never gone to Whitnall Small Animal Hospital. The experience for my pet, my wife, and myself was horrible. Prior to visiting this vet I had done much research on how to care for my sick pet. I was treated in a very condescending manner by Dr. Claire just for asking questions. My cat was sick when I took her there and I never told Dr Claire that I was mostly unsatisfied with the service he provided and would be taking my business elsewhere. I still have not received a call from him to check on my cat which leads me to believe he does not care. It is of my opinion that the only thing that mattered to Dr Claire was me opening my wallet and emptying it into his pocket.

There are other vets in the Hales Corners/Muskego area that I have tried, Whitnall Small Animal Hospital would be the worst..

If I could give a zero I would. The vet is the worst he missed diagnosis my 3 year old dog the next day we had to put him down. It always seemed like we were putting him out, no compassion. Didn't perform tests maybe because he is uneducated or didn't care. I would NEVER refer to him. Please do not take a sick pet to him you may never get them back!!

The worst vet ever. No compassion at all. Didn’t give us time when our pet passed. And he when we tried giving us our blanket back that was under our dogs head after he just passed, he picked up his head and let him slip and slammed his head on the table. Disgusting person. Would NEVER recommend. I honestly hate this place and the doctor. 0 stars

I was given a "free" exam and medication certificate from Perland Pet Store of Hales Corners when I purchased my puppy. When I set up my appointment they asked me to bring in a stool sample, seems legit. I check in and the receptionist takes the stool sample. Nothing has been said what they do with it, nothing. We go into the exam room and weigh the puppy and she tells me the Dr. will be in shortly to discuss the results of the stool sample tests they ran for worms (my puppy had every de-worming available, and I had the records to prove it) and for parasites. I said "You tested the stool? Ok." She said "yes, and it's $62 and Petland doesn't cover the cost."
I was taken aback. This was supposed to be FREE exam. I never agreed to a stool test, I was never told they were going to test it, and $62?! To look at poo under a microscope?! Give me a break!! Scam. I left. Then they sent me a $62 bill. DO NOT Frequent this establishment. Overpriced and scammers.
