Eco-Friendly Flooring

We are very satisfied with the work done by Eco-Friendly--a new cork floor in the kitchen and a striking backsplash that lights up my kitchen. The creative skills of Melissa and expert installation made the project a delight and we highly recommend Eco-Friendly.

We had a top notch experience with Eco-Friendly Flooring selecting and installing our new cork floors across three bedrooms and several hallways. Their pricing was very competitive and was actually cheaper than quotes we got from other larger local flooring stores for cork. Every step was professional yet felt personal and relaxed (easy to communicate, share preferences for install, etc.). Melissa was knowledgeable in selecting the product and Andy, who installed our floors, was awesome. We have very angular walls and closets in our rooms and the cuts were so well done that we didn't need shoe molding. He was also very kind and took care of moving any large furniture so that we didn't need to disassemble beds, etc. Happy to have found this great small business!

Melissa and Robert at Eco Friendly Flooring were just terrific to work with. Melissa helped us pick out a very unique and durable backsplash metallic tile that looks great in our kitchen. We had a few challenging (to us) installation elements (outlets, etc) and Robert handled them easily and gave us great advice. Would recommend 100%!

Overall a great experience & I love my new bathroom floor (of recycled glass tiles). They didn't have my first choice of floor tile, but worked with me to come up with suitable alternative, pattern & shipping option (I live in East Coast & ordered remotely).

A few things to keep in mind about these glass tiles:
1. They may not have the color you want in stock so be sure to have alternatives ready.
2. Different colors may have different thicknesses, even in same size (one of my colors was 1/32" thicker than the other). This will not make much difference with "pillowtop" tiles like mine which are inherently uneven (as they have a slight curve to them), but if you're doing a more flat style, it may be an issue.
3. For some reason, the cut tiles became partially transparent (e.g., at the threshold sides). I guess this has to do with water saw & maybe the way tiles are colored.

Also, if you're paying a contractor to install the tiles, it's best to order the tiles yourself or you'll face a steep markup for "special order" (which I discovered after getting a few quotes).

I searched high and low to find a company that could execute my mid-century vision. Melissa went above and beyond in helping me select the products. Robert's installation was masterful.

We love our new bamboo floor! Melissa, the owner, is direct and easy to work with. The instillation happened on time and on budget. Andy, the installer, worked hard to get the job done quickly but also very carefully. The whole process went smoothly and now we have a beautiful new bedroom floor! I am in love with my bamboo flooring on the main level of my home! It brightened up the house and is very attractive! Just had my lower level done in a stylish Cork and it really looks great! When I did my kitchen I noticed that they had recycled sea glass, it is like a work of art & I get so many compliments on it!
Any questions or concerns were answered at warp speed by Melissa! The installers were prompt, friendly and professional, they didn’t even mind my nosy dog!
I would give them all a 10 if it were an option!!!

I was heartbroken to be forced out of my beloved Victorian apartment (with original oak floors) into a hastily-acquired condo with worn out, boring carpet. With my tiny budget and product limitations (the subfloor is concrete) I was resigned to the cheapest per sqft laminate I could find, which simply wasn’t appealing or worth the money. Thankfully, a friend hooked me up with Melissa who absolutely made my day. She was able to provide a solid bamboo product which looks, feels, and behaves so much like the wood I left behind that I barely feel the loss - At a cost that was within reach. Through the entire process they were excellent communicators, reliable, accommodating, patient, and the installation was expertly done. Being able to support a local small business was the cherry on top. I honestly don’t think I have ever had such a satisfying experience as a consumer before. If I am ever in need of flooring or tile work in the future, they will be my first phone call and I highly recommend them.

Awesome experience all around with this company! Friendly, it feels like the customers matter, and the products are worth selling because they are better than average.. Great product, awesome install, professional and friendly. We got cork floors for a small-ish room. Trying to figure out which room they can do next.

We had Eco Friendly Flooring put in a basement floor for us this year, part of it during fall 2019 and the rest in early summer 2020. The floor is beautiful and the work was very professionally done. Highly recommended!
