Great store! The proprietor was very easy to talk to and very helpful.

I always enjoy my interactions with the staff. They are patient, friendly, and willing to talk. I've received and made great recommendations over the years. The willingness to incorporate local tastes while still cultivating their own selection is what makes Star a neighborhood gem.

If you want to nerd-out about beer or bourbon, these are your people. Great recommendations, but also honest when they haven't tried something.
I don't drink wine much, so I don't know if they are as knowledgeable about wine as beer and bourbon.

Great selection and location. Their staff are such great people. They are happy to help give recommendations, and always create an inviting environment. They’re great about letting people look around for a while before making their choices, too. Clean, inviting, fun. Sometimes, they host tastings there too, and those are always a treat. Can’t ask for much more.

Fantastic store under more or less new ownership. Terrific selection, very friendly, knowledgeable and helpful staff, locally owned, and a really sweet neighborhood liquor store with its heart in the right place. Highly recommended! Shop there as opposed to the big box stores. You'll love it!

The staff has always been very friendly and helpful. I called looking for a specific beer recently and they went above and beyond to go check the stock. I really appreciated it. I like the vibe of this small store much better than a place big place like Riley's.

This is where I buy most of my alcohol, the staff is friendly and knowledgeable, they have a decent selection of beer and liquor, and a sizeable collection of wine. They sell cigarettes as well.

Great selection and the people working the counter are happy to offer suggestions if you can't decide. Frequent beer and wine tastings during the week, too.
