Cannon's Custom Cakes And Bakery

Cannon’s is hands down my family’s favorite bakery for birthday cakes and pastries. Not only do their cakes look great, they taste great, and we all know that’s the most important thing about a cake.

Even with staffing shortages, Cannon’s was able to make us a delicious cake on fairly short notice. We got many compliments on the cake and I was happy to recommend the bakery for all our family and friends future cake needs.

LOVE LOVE LOVE the cake I received from Cannon's. Icing tasted great, very smooth and it was NOT overkill. Decorated very classy. I won a birthday cake from WXCY - the local radio station, but I will be back to purchase in the future.

Im not gonna lie- some of these reviews made me a little nervous, but reading through them it seemed like mostly user error or people not being understanding or having common sense. However, I just picked up a small custom cake from cannons and WOW is all i have to say. I am getting married next year and had a flavor in mind- kind of odd so i wasn’t sure if it would mesh right, so I ordered a small birthday cake for myself in the same flavors. Not only was it ready at our agreed upon pick up time, it was extremely reasonably priced and honestly the best cake I have ever had. Not to mention, I only placed the order two days ago and it was exactly what I asked for. The woman who took my order over the phone (and i think checked me out) was very nice and even offered to write something on it but i said don’t worry about it since it’s just for me. I will definitely be back next year when we order a larger cake. Thanks cannons!

Idk why all the one stars recently but I'm thinking they are a bunch of followers who never tried cannons. I've been coming to cannons for 20 years and NEVER had a problem. They are one of the best bakeries in Delaware. Maybe it's the customers having a bad attitude and not the employees. I come here every year for birthdays. They are fast, nice, welcoming and their bakery is just amazing. People are so miserable anymore. Bake your own damn cake then. They got all the supplies at the grocery stores. People will find ANY excuse to write a negative review.

Cannons has been our family go to for my whole life. We usually ordered cakes from there, and in my opinion, the best quality cakes around here. Plus their other pastries and cookies are top notch. We’ve never had a problem with anything we’ve ever ordered from there. I look forward to the next time a need for a cake comes. I’ll be headed there. Thanks again!!

This was a great experience, from the phone ordering to the pick up. Everything was perfect. The marbke caje was kight and moist and the ice wasnt that crazy über sweet kind. Im super pleased and everyone loved the cake. Thanks Cannon's

Made a special order of a Canoli Cake for my husbands birthday two month ago and it was delicious! They were so helpful and nice. It was great to have a cake made out of my husband's favorite dessert. It was perfect for our lil quaretine bday celebration!

Cannon’s is an amazing place. For over 30, years now, Cannon’s is the only bakery that my family goes to.

Yesterday, we accidentally dropped the cake we got. Today we went in to try to find the same cake, but they didn’t have anymore left. We were just going to get another one, but they refused to let me walk out with a cake I didn’t truly want. They made me a replacement cake on the spot free of charge. I am entirely grateful, the cake was the one thing I wanted for my birthday.

They are always this caring, gracious, and attentive at Cannon’s. It is always an absolute joy to walk through their doors. 10/10

The last time I was in the store I had been sent on the errand to pickup a birthday cake. While waiting I saw an apple cake that looked tempting but did not want two of these cakes tempting me. Solved that problem today and picked up the apple cake. Was most and flavorful and worth the wait. They make both a small and large size.

Ordered 3 dozen cupcakes for my daughter's birthday party and they were amazing! Cake was super moist and fresh and icing was rich and creamy. I was very impressed and I can be quite picky about my desserts! I will definitely be coming back for future purchases!

We have been getting all our family cakes from Cannon’s for over 32 yrs they are the best. Went to a birthday recently and the host bought the cake from a major grocery store because it’s was $10 cheaper, well you can taste that cheapness. There is no price for perfection and that’s why we go to Cannon’s nothing beats their taste.

Products are still great even though they are struggling getting help, they are doing their best in the Customer service side. If you order from here please have patience and understand that you may have to wait, but the cakes and all are worth it! Been a customer for years and even though timing at times was an issue I wouldn’t have got a well tasting cake from anyone bakery in the state.

To be honest some of the reviews almost turned us away - but we're glad we didn't! Cannon's was able to quickly help for a custom birthday cake. We sent several pictures and combined the best features. Maybe ours was made the day of, or the day before, but the cake tasted freshly baked and was moist - not dry like other reviews state. Worth a shot in our opinion compared to alternatives. We will be back.

We love Cannons! Our cakes and other pastiers are always good. I have ordered cakes 2 day's ahead of time. They were ready at the time scheduled for pick and beautiful as always. Their stuff is the best and taste great.

Absolutely love Cannons! They made a birthday cake for my son and he was so excited to get a lego cake! The cake itself was delicious and matched the colors of my sons birthday banner. Customer service was fantastic too.
They also made a cake my my future sister in laws bridal shower which was beautifully decorated and absolutely tasted fantastic! These cakes are moist with just the right amount of sugar. I will absolutely come back and recommend to everyone else.

I would like to to make a comment on the review that was placed concerning the mistake about the year that was put on the cake for 2002. First let me say I have been going to Cannon’s for over 36 years and never had a problem!!!!! A mistake was made and they corrected my cake when it was brought to their attention. I want to apologize for my granddaughter’s actions it is very disrespectful and I do not approve of their reviews and actions that was done!!! Cannon’s has always done a great job doing cakes and I truly truly apologize for the actions that occurred in your place of business.

I love this place! They surpass my expectations every time. The first time I used them was for my baby shower and then for my daughter's 1st birthday and my mom's birthday. Me and my guests were all very impressed. There was no cake left after the parties. everyone kept coming back for seconds. Thanks so much Cannon bakery and keep up the great job.

I ordered a quarter sheet cake and twelve cupcakes. The cake was very moist and fluffy. The frosting was creamy and everything tasted super fresh. The cupcakes exceeded our expectations and our guests said they were the best ever! Thank you, Cannon’s! We will be back for our next event!
