We had a really good time here! The waitress was great, we had Kassandra. She even thought to grab an extra plate for our baby after I forgot to ask for one. We were very impressed at how quickly the food was ready and it all tasted fresh and yummy. You definitely get your money’s worth too, we thought we got a lot of food. There was plenty of seating which we liked because we don’t enjoy bumping shoulders with people at restaurants. It was a little cold in the area we sat in but they warned us and we wanted to sit there anyway. We will be back.

My son & I stopped in for dinner this afternoon & it was our first time eating here. Upon entering, we were greeted by Tim & Adam. Adam seated us and delivered excellent customer service. He was so good with my 5 year old & by the time we were done, my little guy was chatting with Tim, Adam, & the General Manager. The service was great, food was good, & the atmosphere was very welcoming. My son wants to go back everyday now! 😃 Thank you to the team at Max’s today who delivered fantastic customer service!

What a great little family restaurant. My family and I appreciate gluten free options. My kids all got cheese burgers and fries. My husband and I both got the tacos and a shake. It was very very good and the server was amazing. I think her name is Jessica. Even with splurging on shakes, the total bill wasn’t crazy high at all. We will be back for sure!

This place was awesome. The outdoor patio is AHHHMAZING! Atmosphere, staff, and the food. Ohhhh the food. These burgers are mouth watering.. appetizers delicious. We found our new date spot. Oh n they have live music some nights and half price appetizers after 8pm. A MUST stop!

Food was so good. Waitress was cool and there was nobody in there Saturday morning. Had a chicken biscuit and it was amazing.

An awesome place to go to! I just went here for the first time and the service and food is phenomenal! Hands down one of the nicest places I have been to in a long time! Kosondra was my server and was very kind and attentive. The food came out quick and was a great value for what you get, and best of all it was delicious! I tried the queso, a chocolate shake, a chicken tender melt and fries. All were delicious! As I was leaving, one server asked if I wanted a bag for my take home boxes and helped me get the food in the bag which was awesome. It’s the perfect spot to stop right off of 53 for a bite to eat. I highly recommend this place and I will most definitely be back! This seems like a place that will be around here for a long time because of their service and excellent food! Thank you Max’s!

I wish you remember the name of our waitress. She was absolutely amazing. Helped us with all of our menu questions. Help me pick out something that was gluten friendly. Ran back to the chef and asked him if he could make my daughter some egg whites versus scrambled eggs. She was amazing and the restaurant itself is so cute and it's beautiful. It's very modern classic style We had breakfast and it was so so good. Banana cream waffles absolutely amazing the chocolate chip waffles they said we're absolutely amazing. I had a tater tot sunny side up meat scramble. It was really good. My daughter wanted spaghetti so they got her spaghetti and we had a grilled cheese and it was so good. Well worth the stop. The lunch menu looked amazing so be there after 10:00 for that. But their breakfast was really good too

These burgers here are to die for, will definitely recommend and their Bloody Mary was pretty good as well... the atmosphere vibe was pretty chill... the service was great, although we were there after any lunch rush or dinner rush.

Staff was so personable and fun yet professional and attentive. I'm from Northern Minnesota and have been to many all you can eat fish fries, but never had fish as delicious as Max's. We were able to sit on the patio with our dog and received the same level of service and attention as we would have in doors. They have live music on the patio some evenings. Patio has good shade and blocks the wind well. Great experience, dog friendly, and so pleasant. Would definitely visit again!

I had the ultimate grilled cheese sandwich with fries and a s'mores shake. It was really good!!! The service was fast and friendly. Cleaning was kept up on nicely, too! I will be back again and soon!

Great service, even better food!

Waitress was a sweetheart and the chicken was perfect- light and crisp breading, juicy and not greasy. Shake was good too, everything was reasonably priced.

We were in town for some golf and stopped by Max’s on Saturday night. The food was fabulous. The burger was one of the best we’ve ever had. I also highly recommend the hot Diego. Either the sandwich or the pasta. The flavor is incredible. Apparently a family secret. A Band was playing on the patio that night too! Even though we live aways away, we will be back. Definitely worth it!

Had the Friday fish fry, was very good, fish was nicely breaded and crisp. Anxious to try a burger 🍔 next visit. Very good covid measures and server was very attentive.

Ordered pickup tonight and everything was perfect. Tom, who took my order, also got my order together. He took the time to ask if our preferences were food allergies or just a preference. That was appreciated. The food was awesome. We ordered a burger and the taco salad. Both were well portioned and tasty. This is the third time I’ve tried Max’s, and it’s been consistently great every time.

We had a large group of about 20 friends (and had called ahead, of course) for lunch. Service was prompt and very friendly. Servers did an excellent job with such a large group.
Several had soup (homemade!) and salad bar, which they declared delicious, and most of the rest had either burgers or chicken. Burgers are cooked "pink or no pink," and come with a side of your choosing.
They had a new program where you can pay your bill with your phone. I gave it a try (since so many were checking out at one time) and it went through with no problems.
I would most definitely go there again!

Great food and coffee. My daughter loves the shakes. The burgers are great and the staff is fast and friendly.

Such a great place, awesome food and our server was exceptional. Definitely coming back to try the Friday fish fry. Today we had the spicy cauliflower, I had Italian been with auju and fries was just perfect. Wife had the cheese head burger was was fantastic

Took the family for lunch. We have just moved into the area and saw an advertisement while watching a movie. Server was very attentive, food came quick and was piping hot. We all had varieties of chicken, and it was all great. Great variety for a diner. Would come back again, the best place we have found so far in Rice Lake!

The food was fantastic!! We had the Northwoods burger and the chicken tender griller. Kids had pasta and cookie dough shakes. But the biggest plus was our server, Tyler! WOW!! Friendly, personable, professional (even when the gal in the kitchen was not!!😖) We will definitely be back!!👍

We stopped by for lunch today. Service was prompt and attentive, Denise was great!
