Nita's of Shelton

This little old fashioned diner has it going on! The owner and family are out and about being really friendly and pitching in on everything. The milkshakes are made by hand and the person making ours was one of the children of the owner. Seeing the children helping out and learning the family business made me proud, that is how it should be and that is also what we are losing so fast these days.
The milkshake and burger were really tasty. The only two things that I would change:
A little more seasoning on the patty, it was nice and thick with good beef flavor but some season salt would have kicked it higher. Also, the fries made it to us without salt and by the time I salted them it wouldn't stick anymore.

Excellent food and huge portions! Kiddos loved the pancakes. Chef and server were so nice! Excellent prices

Everything about this place reminds me of home, I saw $15 for a BLT I was like no way, saw the BLT and it was so understandable the food was top notch. The people were so friendly and the atmosphere was one of a kind in the good way. I recommend this place to anyone who stops by in Shelton

The guys running it are great and funny they got good food I personally like to eat here with close friends it's super low key

Ok lets get real guys and gals, this is a small town, quaint, locals style restaurant serving lunch and breakfast with soooooooooooo much more. The new owners are awesome and one of the partners, George and his wife have an amazing way of ALWAYS making you feel comfortable, welcome and part of their family. He's not from around these parts so you might be greated with an honoring "hey big guy" if your 5 years old or 65 years old skinny or husky (like me) and you know you've walked into the right place.

The next awesome thing is the food!!! Is it 5 star restaurant food ? Hell no and I say that with a huge heart because its real food, its made with that old school heart for the creation of a mouth watering meal. I can't tell you enough about their breakfast burritos, the chicken sandwhiches and their biscuits and gravy to go !!! You taste the effort put into their foods, you taste the commitment to provide you that home style cooked meal that is exactly what this town needed.

Finally the 5XL add-on ? Whats this ? Well George started a program that was his dream, to feed hungry animals through a donation program and provide food for pets that their owners are struggling with right now. This man works ungodly hours, then turns around and gives what time and money he has to helping those less fortunate. That is why when you order food at Nitas you are also helping others in need. These people are simple the nicest, most kindest, most caring people I have ever had the pleasure to meet.

This place is awesome! A little tiny diner, I would have never even found it had other google users not agreed that their pancakes are a huge portion of fluffy goodness with maybe a hint of nutmeg? That makes them oh so good. The coffee was hot and fresh. The eggs were perfect and the bacon was savory.
Even better than this is the amazing man and woman who run the place. They are kind good people who make a difference in their community by hosting a pet needs donation/free program. I hope them the best and I hope others will find this tiny little slice of delicious homestyle cooking. The kids and husband and I truly enjoyed it.

Love this local spot. The service was ...well, go experience for yourself. The biscuits and gravy, french toast and omelets we ordered were good. Basic breakfast.

As always such a nice calm place to sit and have a nice reasonably priced meal and have nice conversation over coffee with the owner George.

A cute little diner from the 1950s. The family running it was so friendly and weren't shy about striking up a conversation. The food was great! I had the cheeseburger with cheddar and a chocolate milkshake. Both were excellent. The meat is thick and juicy. They toast the bun, so it has a nice crisp to it. The fries were alright, maybe a little greasy, but not bad. The decor is old fashioned and looks like you've stepped through time. So cute! I reccommend this restaurant and would return in the future.

Breakfast was FANTASTIC!!! Biscuits and gravy were wonderful (there’s only one other place that I like their biscuits and gravy), pancakes have something special in them - addicting! We had a party of 10 and they were so accommodating and friendly. 10/10 would recommend!

My wife and I stopped in for a quick bite before heading to the Vance Creek Railcars. Great food and service. Nice simple family owned cafe.the owner and his family were super welcoming. This place has that good old school vibe that this Midwesterner boy loves. Keep up the fine work and don't change a thing.

Fun, friendly, fast and flexible! Nita's is a GREAT place to eat, great food that's inexpensive! I wanted something not on the menu and no problem they just figured out a way and made it better than what I was even asking for!

PLUS BIG BONUS! They are very active in the community and not only volunteer at the food bank for people but collect items like food, treats, toys and other pet needs for people who are elderly or going through a hard time or what have you!

I got the first ever breakfast quasadilla this morning. This will happen again. The cheese blend and the quality of the ham (not generally a fav) were outstanding. Atmosphere also great. Definitely going back!

Nice friendly atmosphere with good food at reasonable prices. They offer smaller plates so that you don't have to feel like you just ate more than you should have, or let some food go to waste because you can't eat everything on your plate. This is one of those places that make you feel at home along with good conversation and great service! Definitely a place worth making a regular stop!
