So, who cares if they can't spell. When your Texas Style BBQ is this good, spelling doesn't matter.

The ribs literally fall off the bone, and the brisket is so tender you can cut it with a plastic fork, spoon, or spork.

There isn't a dining room. It's more of a take out joint, but you can enjoy your order at one of their picnic tables.

So, next time you want a little radiation (Cedar Hill is Radio Tower Central), try Phat Girlz. It's abundantly awesome.

I ordered the 2 meat plate via Uber eats. Everything is seasoned to perfection, the ribs are tender and don’t even require the extra sauce, sides are great and the cookie pudding was the bomb. The strawberry lemonade was also good and refreshing. I am completely stuffed because the food was so good.

The banana pudding is life changing!! The Mac n cheese is one of the best I have ever had and the brisket is great! I just wish I asked for extra barbecue sauce. I had a brisket sandwich, a
medium mac n cheese, and a banana pudding. I split everything with my Mom and it was plenty! Will be eating here again! However, you can’t eat there. You place your order at the window and wait in your car, then you pick up your order at the counter. This is great if you are picking up something on your lunch break.

The food is amazing here. I bought all the lunch specials plus I hit the sweets up too. I will be back. Ribs falling gently off the bone, smoke all through it and it is worth it. This is not a sit down or order ahead unless you are using DoorDash, but you can walk up to the window and place your order. I ate about an hour ago and the smoke is still in my MOUTH! OMG good!!! The sides, are also outstanding. I will be back over and over again! I won't tell you too much, you have to try for yourself!!!

Phat Girls is one of my favorite spots in town, the food is always hot, fresh, and most importantly incredibly delicious. It’s definitely a hidden gem, but worth the wait 🔥🔥 man-man potato is a huge potato with chopped brisket, and absolutely covered in Mac and cheese.

Love Phat Girlz BBQ. The ladies are always kind there. Chubby Girl potato with rib tips, brisket and links was absolutely perfect!!! And the peach Cobbler is about to make me go back and get more if they aren't out. It's sooooo good!!!! I have also tried the smoked chicken salad before. They were sold out today when I got there unfortunately. The smokiness takes the chicken salad up levels! Last but not least the strawberry lemonade is very refreshing! 😋

I should've taken a picture, but looking at it I was ready to get into. Them ribs, mac & cheese, and baked beans. Outstanding, she told me me she was trying to make sure the ribs were right, and they were RIGHT!! Everything was Outstanding.

Located in downtown Cedar Hill is Phat Girlz BBQ, a southern style smokehouse specializing in home style barbecue. The dining room was closed as of the time of this review, but you can still call your order in ahead or use the walk up window for service.

On this visit Ribs were already sold out for the day, but the pleasant aroma of smoke was calling you closer as you parked near the building. The helpful lady came to the window after I walked up and I ended up getting a two meat plate, and took her suggestion to try Mac and Cheese and Green Beans for my sides. I also picked up their famous strawberry lemonade.

It took a little but for my order to come out, perhaps 10 minutes, but when it did it was neatly wrapped for me to take home and eat.

Unboxing it at home, where I took these photos, was glorious. The smoky smell jumped out and tickled my nose, and I couldn’t believe how good the plate looked, especially the Mac and cheese.

The brisket was soft and tender, the kind that nearly melts in your mouth and is absolutely packed with smoke. Even now as I’m typing this review the taste is still lingering in my mouth, this is brisket so good that it doesn’t require any sauce whatsoever.

The chicken somehow contained even more flavor than the risk of death, and although the meat texture was completely different it was also juicy and tender with the same bold smoky flavor. Just perfect.

The green beans were the stuff of legend, with little bits of potatoes and even shredded smoked turkey mixed in with them, these are probably the most flavorful and interesting green beans I’ve ever eaten at a restaurant. I’m serious.

But the macaroni and cheese, this was a game changer. I don’t know if they are using smoked Gouda or what in there but each bite caused my eyes to close and inside they rolled back into my skull as my worries and stress drifted away for me. In that moment as I absorbed the macaroni and cheese into my mouth, I left Cedar Hill and briefly entered a macaroni Nirvana where all of the issues and tribulations of my life didn’t exist anymore.

It was heavenly.

After having eaten everything shown, my only regret is that I stayed and somehow find this place sooner. What a special treat for everyone here in Cedar Hill, and certainly a place that will be revisiting again in the future.

I took the pic after I started eating. I couldn't help myself. I got rib tips, brisket, and link with macaroni n cheese and potato salad. Also got chicken salad and peach cobbler. Good. Good. Good and good. Everything is filled with flavor. Even the Mac n cheese was flavorful. The spicy chicken salad is actually spicy. It's got smokey flavor as well. The rib tips unexpectedly melted in my mouth. I usually stick to links, brisket and chicken. I'm glad I got the rib tips. The brisket and links were on point too. Don't get me wrong. Potato salad, once again, was full of flavor. I'm full as a tic after the peach cobbler. I didn't have any room in my stomach for it but had to finish that off. Not too many peaches. The peach to breading ratio was just right. 5 stars. Hands down. Last but not least... the strawberry lemonade is a beast. I don't even know what to try next. Should i get the same thing or try a loaded baked potato. I'm sure it's all good.

Just moved to cedar hill and I needed a bbq place close to me, so I saw this place on tic tok so I went and it was good. The Mac was creamy and the beans were good as well. Ribs were seasoned well and I don’t have no complaints I wish I would have ordered more lol, but I would definitely tell all my people to visit.

I’ve been coming here for years and the food is always fresh and delicious. Everything is always so flavorful and the meat is well seasoned.

Love this place, food is amazing perfectly cooked and seasoned. There is a wait time, but it’s totally worth the wait. great customer service as well.

My first time visiting Phat Girlz BBQ, and I was not disappointed. The ribs are so tender and juicy, the Mac &Cheese divine, and the bbq beans fantastic. I coming back again, my new favorite bbq restaurant.

The food here is absolutely AMAZING! I go almost EVERY weekend! The owners are friendly and very down to earth. You can call in your order or you can order when you arrive. You won't be disappointed!

Had sampled my co-worker's plate one afternoon. Today I got the Rockstar, chopped chicken loaded with mac and cheese. Awesome flavor. Huge serving. Also got a refreshing cup of fresh lemonade with strawberries. Highly recommend it!
