Hands Down… best Barbecue south of Dallas! Their brisket tacos and sandwiches, as well as their pulled pork! Don’t forget their handmade sausages, elote and charro beans.

So so good. We ordered some of the tacos and the grilled cheese sandwich. Some of the best authentic tacos I ever had. The sauce that comes with it is mediocre. Not very thick. Kind of runny. I'd thicken that up. If I am back in the area I will definitely go here for some tacos. Good prices too. And you can get a beer at the brewery that the restaurant is located in.

We loved the Tex-Mex menu that incorporated the best flavors of each culture. I got the quesabirria and it was SO. MUCH. FLAVOR. It was so cool to see that they have different events going on throughout the month. Will definitely be back to this hidden gem 😍

The pork belly burnt ends are like butter! My husband and I love good BBQ.. the burnt ends are top notch... and the birria tacos are the best I've ever had. We don't even like beer... but we tried it at Ash & Ember.. and it was so good! We had several samples and bought a light beer... very good!.. we talked about that food all weekend and all week til they opened again!

My husband and I have come to know this place as Ash and Ember Brewing. We have not had the opportunity to partake in the Food, but we have tried their Brewed In House Beers. Although my husband is a Beer Connoisseur, I'm not much of a beer drinker. There was one beer in particular that I enjoyed. It was called "Tenon Tripel". This place is definitely a Diamond in the Rough 💖 Hidden in Cedar Hill.

This was my first time hearing about and trying this BBQ company. I purchased the $50 voucher for $39 off Groupon which was well over enough to feed two people. Pictured below is the BBQ Plate: Sausage, brisket, pork belly burnt ends, potato salad, and charro beans. The other picture is the TEX-MEX BIRRA TACO PLATE with two sides of elotes. Yummy good eats, friendly staff, and good atmosphere. 5/5

First time trying their Elote and it was SO good. Definitely recommend trying it. I have yet to try their other plates!

I love the brisket tacos, so definitely come for that! But don’t sleep on their pie! Wow! Just had Nutella Pie. Let me just say this: Jesus can come back now—I’ve had it all!

Some of the best pulled pork I’ve ever had (ever) and the beer was delightful.

Had a taste for bbq. Ran across this place and couldn’t turn down Mexican AND BBQ… I’m a Texas girl… so I had to stop by. Daughter and I had the birrira tacos, son had the smash burger, hubby, pulled pork tacos. All was good. We ordered to-go, and the wait wasn’t too long. The consumé wasn’t the best….maybe because of the small container, but it wasn’t bad. Definitely will go back to dine in. Love supporting small businesses.

We visited for the Octoberfest celebration special. The food (bratwurst and potato salad 🥗) was excellent 👍 and made a perfect pairing for the Octoberfest beer.

Mija catered a family event for us and the food was excellent. Brisket and pork were flavorful, fresh tortillas were outstanding, and the elote was perfect. The owners were very helpful in planning the menu at a reasonable price. Highly recommend Mija Barbecue!

This is by far the best BBQ I have had in a long time if not ever! My husband and I got the brisket tacos and the pulled pork sandwich and they were both AMAZING! The sides are a great portion and top notch flavor. This will definitely be a regular date night spot for us! Do yourself a favor and head on over!

so, i’ve been waiting to try this place for a good bit and it did not disappoint!! if you like spice and delicious bbq then this is for you.

The food is SO good! The elote is addicting. I’ve been craving it since Christmas. The meat and tacos are delicious too. And the pies are my faves! My husband loved his food too and the snickerdoodles are yum! We had a great date night!

Hands down the best brisket in Cedar Hill. They catered our church event, everyone loved it. I promote them every chance I get. Their sausage, pulled pork, pastor chicken is all very good! But that brisket though! Fall apart tender, perfectly juicy!

Freaking amazing!!! Just had the pulled pork plate any the brisket sandwich plate and it was soooo delicious. Got Mac and cheese and the ELOTE!!! Man that elote is 🔥. I’m definitely coming back. Plus the beer ( helles) at the brewery was perfect. ❤❤❤

Mija BBQ catered our daughters wedding and the food was fabulous. The guests were raving about the brisket and pulled pork. The team arrived on time, set up quickly and were ready to serve when the reception began. Bailey and her staff were outstanding and went above and beyond to make our daughters reception perfect as they also provided service with bussing tables and cake serving.
We highly recommend Mija BBQ for your next event, they will not disappoint.
