Henk's European Deli & Black Forest Bakery

Almost started writing this review before I finished my food!! We each had different dishes and each if them were fantastic!! The Getman potato salad is the best i have ever eaten. The sausage weiner schnitzel were as authentic as it gets!! Service was friendly and fast. Bought several items from the deli and will be back to the bakery!! If you live within a 100 miles of this place you need to make the trip!!

Felt like I was back in Germany in this gem of a restaurant (note they close at 3 or 4pm). Easy to miss but you wouldn’t want to! We got the Wiener Schnitzel w sauerkraut and the European club w potato soup and thoroughly enjoyed it. Also, they have a little store attached to the restaurant that sells authentic European chocolates, candies, and souvenirs. They also have a bakery that sells cakes. Neat experience- I’d like to go back sometime!

Awesome little bakery/deli set off behind a steakhouse. Their pastries were out of this world. Stumbled upon this place during the St Patty's Day parade, definitely worth stopping in again.

Loved the potato salad. Schnitzel was good but not the best. Potato pancakes were yum. Service was great. Bakery was tempting. I've had their cakes before and they are amazing.

My personal fav is the bakery! All the cakes and options are the best! Not your traditional birthday cake 🎂 been my fav bakery for 15+ years and has not changed a bit. Check them out!!

This is for the bakery! It has never disappointed in the last several years of getting cakes here! Service is always great and they always have plenty of staff to help and make the process go smoothly!

This place have the best cakes I’ve ever tasted in my life, when I get a chanse to grab a cake from here, it always brings me back memories from my childhood. Every chanse I get, I recommend this place all the time, hands down the best!

8" cakes $35, free chocolate inscription. Every flavor is delicious can't go wrong with any of them. Sliced cakes available at the restaurant. The corned beef sandwich is too good to pass up. Many imported beers on tap. Large collection of historic and modern beer stein mugs on display

Delicious breakfast while we waited for our car to charge! Hidden gem for sure. We tried the ham and Gouda cheese omelette with fried potatoes and biscuits and the two egg plate with bacon crispy and waffles with strawberries. We were too full to try any cake but next time for sure.

I had the Hot Amsterdam sandwich which is ham and Gouda cheese. The food was delicious and I will certainly visit again!

Wish I would have known of this place sooner. Coworker informed me when coming up with food ideas before the Champions League match. The Hot Amsterdam is delicious and will definitely need to go back to check out their bakery.

Excellent little market for German (European) items and food. I haven't eaten at the restaurant yet but I did get us a black forest cake to go that was incredible. They had a lot of items I haven't found in other places in the metroplex and the prices we're reasonable versus what you would find somewhere else. For food I'm giving 4 out of 5 stars based off how good the black forest cake was and will update it once I go back and experience the restaurant side.

Really awesome traditional European food in Dallas. Loves the horseradish and mustard condiments and bread & pretzels that come with the meal. I had the Bavarian chicken- so good

We’ve been going there since 1994 for their cakes! We love them all!

It was a busy Saturday morning but our party of seven was seated and poured coffee immediately. Waitress and her helper were excellent, unfortunately I do not know there names. But I was a newbie with a table full of regulars that included a priest, Father Joseph. That info will let them know who servers were. Food was excellent. My breakfast included eggs, sausage, hash browns and these two waffles served with strawberries and sprinkled with confectioners sugar. YUMMY! I will go back when I'm in Dallas again. My only complaint would be that I was extremely warm the entire time I was seated at the table. Other than that it was perfect.

Always love the food here and deli/store is great too! I was able to get what I needed to make this at home for my wife's birthday with the sausages from the deli!

This is a very fun and quirky Dutch Restaurant, imported food store and Bakery. Eat, shop, and get some fantastic treats and unique wines and spirits. Always a fun experience and they occasionally have live accordian musicians on Friday and Saturday nights.

I like coming to this place for authentic German food. It has a small cafe type atmosphere with a bakery of yummy confections. There is also a small but high quality of goods for purchase from Europe including wine, cheese, candy, and popular foods from Germany, Scandinavia, Ireland and other countries. It is usually crowded, but that just means it’s good.

I really enjoyed this place. I love the tuna melt and vegetable soup. The Reuben is really good too. I love how they have different treats from different countries. It is such a cute store. The bakery is good all their food is made to order the different chocolates they have are something you definitely have to try🍫

This place looked questionable from the outside. BUT - really delicious food! I was impressed by the fact that it was served quickly despite the number of customers.
