Excellent kalguksu (homemade knife cut noodles), noodles are cut and cooked to order, they had a nice springy texture, anchovy broth was clear and flavorful. I wish they had added just a few more veggies. Kimchi mandoo flavor was good and as expected.

Their kimchi is top notch, they have 3 different types, my faves were kakdoogi (radish) and yeolmu (young radish leaf), regular kimchi was fresh with nice flavor.

Kimchi and water are self serve, the tables and area are very clean, you’re expected to clear your table.

Prices are very reasonable, the 2 ladies that work there are really nice, go support a local mom and pop place!!

Edit: It's been a year since my original review, and we still love it here. One of the most affordable & authentic Korean restaurants- their price includes tax! They have budae stew (army stew), noodles, soup etc too.

My family and I love this restaurant! It's across the street from H-mart, so it's not as well known, but the food is delicious. We especially like the hand-made noodles and dumplings that are made fresh. Our favorites are the clam and anchovy noodle soup.

It's a very affordable, simple self-service place, and their free kimchi and radish is so good (also available for purchase).

This is our favorite Korean restaurant in DFW
Authentic Korean taste and the meats inside of the soups are super soft and I highly recommend kimchi-dumplings if you like kimchi.

I was busy eating that i completely forgot to take photos. Kimchi tasted great. Dumpling was sooooo goood. I had seolleontang, it was rather on a lighter end in taste but I really liked it that way. I highly recommend here!!! All banchans were so good!!

I felt like I was in Korea eating the noodles and homemade dumplings. The self-serve was very comfortable and it was such a queen and tasty place!

Affordable and delicious Korean noodles - I was needing to get my fix of Kalguksu noodles in Dallas and came across this restaurant. I ordered the anchovy broth kalguksu with an order of mandu. The noodles were chewy and the broth was flavorful! The portions were large and they have a self serve banchan counter with different types of pickled vegetables and sauces. I left highly satisfied and will be coming back for more!!

This restaurant is underrated. As a Korean, the soup is real and healthy. Also it is a self-service, you don’t have to worry about tip. Their prices are reasonable and a lot cheaper than the same kind of restaurant across the street. Sulrungtang is just $13.00 including tax. I love this place.

This has got to be one of my favorite kalguksu restaurants in the Dallas/Fort Worth area The soup for the kalguksu was sooo delicious and had that unique flavor that most Koreans might describe as DEEP. And the self-serve kimchi station was definitely a PLUS!

Our go-to place for seolleontang in the area. Definitely a no-frills restaurant that is mainly self-serve (including the kimchi!). Love how everything here tastes more home-made rather than a restaurant.

This is my favorite seolleongtang place in the DFW area. I've visited this place at least a dozen times and neglected to write them a review earlier.

First of all, it is tucked away in a strip mall across the street from the Carrollton HMart so it is a lot less crowded. There's always plenty of parking just outside the restaurant.

Secondly, the prices are by far the most reasonable of any Korean restaurants in the area. Everything, including all you can eat cabbage and radish kimchi, is self service so people who are cost conscious can save on the gratuities.

Thirdly, and most importantly, the food is excellent. I always get the seolleongtang since it's so good but my wife loves their kalguksu (freshly made noodles cut by hand) and their kimchi mandu. The noodles have an incredible texture and chewiness and the broth is very flavorful.

The owner is always pleasant and she works very hard to keep the place super clean.

We got the dumplings, and they were so good we ordered seconds. They were very nice and showed us how to eat properly with the sauces. Will be coming again!

For Korean traditional soups and noodles, it’s hard to get better than this. Ms Lee hand rolls the dough and cuts the fresh noodles with a knife for some of the most delicious home made noodles one can find. Bar none. Of the many noodle bowls yes try the Knife cut Chicken Noodle #16 and you will always go back. Now if you like Goat stew, #36 is so fragrant and strong, there is no mistaking! Loved it. Best goat stew in Dallas! Then their combo beef Bo Yang Tang is white and filled with collagen and so yummy. Worth the trip friends. And BONUS, they don’t even add tip and just charge for the item.
