Dallas Veterinary Surgical Center (DVSC)

Amazing staff and surgeons. They took great care of my dog, who needed to have leg surgery. Whenever I had a concern, I called them and received the help and advice I needed. Now, my puppy is done with her rehabilitation and running and playing like she did before she hurt her leg!

We had to rush in our Sphynx, Princess Vagina in for critical care as there was a mass nearly obstructing her entire airway. They made the experience as pleasant as possible considering the circumstances, got her in and stable and gave us answers as they could. The doctor was extremely thorough in what was going on and the options that we had. We have a long road ahead of us but I feel confident with the team we have to help us!

I had a wonderful experience with Dr Lange. He spends a good amount of time explaining things and allowing me to ask questions.
I am learning that DVSC has a lot more to offer than just surgery. The large facility also has a North TX Animal Rehab and many other services offering alternative veterinary care such as Platelet-Rich Plasma treatment.
They seem to be very organized and focused in the well being of pets.

We were seeing Dr. Lange for alternative options to surgery for our 13 year old Lab who has a partially torn tendon in his back leg. I’m happy to share that he did have alternate options for us.

I highly recommend DVSC. Dr. Lange performed BOAS surgery and a neuter on my French Bulldog (Tucker) and he did a great job. The entire staff at DVSC are class acts. Thank you to Dr. Lange and everyone on staff for making this experience so positive.

Although the outcome was not what I would have wished for, as Baboo was too sick for them to save, from the minute we walked through the door of this amazing facility we were met with the kindness, most caring, empathetic, positive and professional people possible. The veterinarian explained and drew diagrams to explain detail by detail everything that was going on each step along the way. Even though my sweet boy had to have surgery to discover the stage of his fight with liver / gallbladder disease, they very respectfully brought him to me on the ventilator to allow me to say my final loving words and goodbye to him before they administered the final shot. It can never be an experience without excruciating pain, but everyone we dealt with saw to it that we made it through as humanely as possible.
I so appreciate everything that was done and would say that if you ever need them, I would absolutely use them without a moment’s hesitation. So many thank you’s to these wonderful people,

Excellent experience. Our puppy broke his leg, and we were referred to DVSC by his vet. The staff and doctors are great. They are very thorough, transparent, and have been taking great of our pup as he’s in his cast.

My dog needed her gallbladder removed. DVSC worked with my local vet and me to get her in quickly and operate as soon as they were able. They were thorough, kind, and knowledgeable. They answered all of my questions and took excellent care of my baby.

Dr Lange really put my mind set ease with the surgery my dog is getting. He answered all of our questions as well as giving us a ton of information regarding the surgery. The staff was friendly & the facility was extremely clean

Dr. Thompson and the whole staff was amazing to work with! Having an injured pet can be so stressful, but DVSC were a huge relief in the process. My dog had her 2nd TPLO surgery here after her 1st in Austin a few years back. DVSC was a bit pricier than the Austin surgeon, but the surgery and recovery went soooo much smoother. My dog was able to do a fully straight leg extension within 2 days of her surgery at DVSC compared to the 2 months and daily at-home physical therapy exercises with her previous TPLO. The staff here is super responsive, friendly and definitely know what they’re doing. Worth the extra $ to get your pup back on track!!

I am so grateful and so happy with the surgery results. Dr. McKay took my case while various other vets previous were uncertain on how to proceed.

They took the BEST care of my dog who had spinal surgery for IVDD, and had to stay there for 6 days. From the first call they were caring and compassionate. My dog is 90% back to normal because of their skill, comfort, patience and care. I would not trust my dog with anyone else now. The doctor sent me e-mail updates and photos while my pup was there overnight, which I really appreciated. Highly, highly recommend. Link says “Thank you! DVSC.”

My dog had mammary tumor -first went to MedVet and was charged 240$ just for a consultation then quoted 5500-6500$ without any specific information for surgery only without chest X-Ray etc, and asked to pay 6500$ upfront. Fortunately we came to DVSC, the staff and surgeon were so friendly and quoted much more reasonable price with details. Surgery went smoothly and dog came home same day, and it took only 10 days for dog to recover. I would go back to DVSC if any surgeries needed ever for my pets. Stay away from MedVet -they are a scam.

I really liked Dr. Radasch. He was honest about my dog’s situation and I feel I can trust his plan of care going forward. He was very patient & thorough and I was not rushed through our appt.
Every one at the clinic was very nice & friendly.

Dr Park and Dr Radasche both took the time to make sure I understood what all the risks were. They never made me feel rushed or that my questions were stupid. I felt like they truly wanted what was best for Ryder. After surgery I got a daily update on how things were going.

Where do I even start... We met with Dr. Wright (oncology - highly recommend) who had scheduled the mass removal with Dr. Thompson. However, my pup's mass started leaking, filling his abdomen with blood, necessitating emergency surgery. It was an already risky procedure due to the location on his liver that became even more precarious. Ultimately, Dr. Radasch performed the surgery. Dr. Porterpan was fantastic to work with, keeping me updated. In fact, the entire team was exceptional. Their compassion was evident, and I cannot express enough gratitude to these doctors and the staff for their outstanding care of my pup and their support during a challenging time. Today, we received the wonderful news from Dr. Wright that Dr. Radasch successfully removed the entire mass, leaving us with clean margins. THANK YOU!

We had such a great experience at DVSC! My dog had luxating patella, so we went for a consult with Dr. Radasch. He explained our options and what he was seeing. He gave me all of the information and told me to think about it before making a final decision. My dog also has epilepsy, so I was able to talk to our neuro and then Dr. Radasch talked to me on the phone again to answer additional questions. On surgery day, the tech (Aliya) was so nice. I can definitely be a helicopter mom/paranoid, but she was so understanding, didn’t rush him back, and made sure she answered all of my questions prior to bringing him back for surgery. I was called after surgery to let me know everything went well. On pickup day, the discharge nurse was so nice as well and the process was very organized. The front desk staff is also so friendly every time I talked to them on the phone or in person. Everyone at DVSC was amazing, which always makes you feel better about a surgery and leaving your fur baby overnight!

I love VCA Animal Diagnostic Clinic. The staff are great all around. My princess has CHF and has been visiting the cardiology clinic for the past 16 months. She experienced a uterine infection and the care was properly coordinated between her cardiologist and the surgical team. Dr. Porterpan and Dr. Troendle were kind and loving towards my baby girl. I believe Dr. Lang and Dr. Porterpan performed the surgery and Dr. Troendle was the weekend hospitalist. Their entire staff of technicians were also incredible and smart. They all have a great bedside manner and knew what to say to make us, the pawents, feel good about the care our princess was receiving. I would feel comfortable and confident in their ability to perform any surgical procedure on any of my babies and provide excellent post-op care. Highly recommend.
