AJ's On Main

Fantastic hidden gem. This restaurant is directly next door to the railroad. We went for The North Pole Express and decided to pay to park in AJ's lot. The smell coming from the restaurant was so good we knew we were going to be having dinner there. The place is small and comfortable. There's indoor and outdoor patio seating The food is out of this world. My daughter and I shared the catfish and it is the best catfish I have ever had. The breading was delicious and not too thick. The fries are great. The cocktails are so good..... try the Mules, they have a variety of them. I don't have a photo of the full menu because they offer a limited menu during the North Pole Express busy season. Grapevine is a wonderful city with a lot to offer. It's worth a visit and when you're there or at the Great Wood Lodge go visit AJ's, you'll be glad you did. I can't wait to go back and try the smoked brisket or pulled pork.

Had lunch at AJ's today and it was great. Pork ribs and beans were excellent and great selection of draft beer. Service and atmosphere excellent as well. Love this place!

My dad and I split two sandwiches, the pulled pork and the brisket. They were fantastic. The sweet tea was amazing. I hope to come back here again when in town.

Overall absolutely great experience, the owner is a great person as well. Nice rotation of beers on tap as well as bbq. Tired the insane wings & they are no joke, told I was first person to make it through them all.

We had such a good time here last night. Friendly owners and BBQ master. Had a mini family reunion. Small place and very welcoming. The food was great. We all made clean plates. Some ordered second meals to go. The BBQ ribs are unreal. Fall off the bone good. Sticky fingers make happy bellies.

I don't know why we have never tried this place until now. We have tried most of the restaurants on Main Street and until now we had never been to AJ's.

We enjoyed our dinner very much. The menu was limited because they had just reopened a couple of weeks before after the pandemic shut down.

I had the brisket sandwich and my wife had the pulled pork sandwich. Both were excellent and we will definitely return for another meal.

We also tried the jalapeno poppers and they were a pleasant surprise. A fresh grilled jalapeno pepper and a chunk of chicken wrapped in bacon. Yummy

When dining at AJ's on Main we were treated to excellent service from waitress, Lisa. The food was served quickly and was delicious. Here is a family friendly place we enjoyed for lunch... and we are sure to return.

Best food I've had in years. Every time I visit Dallas or it's surrounding cities, I must come here. Family owned business, makes you feel at home. I love it, Go Cowboys and Roll Tide!!!!!

AJ's On the Main is a small restaurant that is BIG ON FLAVOR !!! The chopped Brisket Burger was tender and juicy served in between 2 Big Buttery slices of TEXAS TOAST :) AJ is a retired Grapevine Policeman who is now Living the Dream with his BBQ restaurant .. plenty of patio seating for couples and family , right across from the Clock Tower and the Train Station .... For AWESOME BBQ, Check out AJ's on the Main in Grapevine Tx. We left a two dollar bill tacked on the ceiling ... He donates all the money on ceiling to Grace, a wonderful charitable organization.... Kudos to AJ, and thank you for your service 😎

Had a pulled pork sandwich and it tasted amazing. It had a great smoked flavor. The service was great, fella at the bar was real nice.
Also had a drink, can't remember the name but it had cucumber vodka and I was shocked how much I liked it. All in all a great experience.

Great little bbq joint. Service was good, atmosphere is awesome for some Texas Bbq. Location is perfect.

One of the best meals I’ve had in a long time! Where do I begin! I had the 2 meat plate and ordered brisket and ribs with a side of fried okra and potato salad! The okra was fresh and the batter was seasoned incredibly well! The okra was crunchy and fried to perfection. The potato salad was phenomenal - omg! One of the best! The owner was so nice. Food portions were great and food came out fast. The pickle juice shot was surprisingly refreshing lol. The ribs were so tender and perfectly smoked! Brisket was so moist and flavorful. If someone gives this place a bad review they are clearly having a bad day or just don’t know good eating! I wish I could bring this place home to Chicago w| me! I’ll be back for sure!

This is the cutest place. The BBQ was great. It didn't even need BBQ sauce. I love the decor, the writing on the walls, the regulars that meet there for dinner, the staff, the bar. This is the bestest little hidden gem!

We picked this place, having never been there, because my son had died on Sunday and he loved bbq. Oh my gosh! We can't wait to go again. A++++++

Incredible BBQ!!!! What a great spot on Main street in Grapevine fried okra and the pulled pork and brisket YumYum!!!!!! Excited for my next visit. I LOVE their new online ordering system!!!! So easy!!!

Been a couple times - The absolute best BBQ. Tender and flavorful meat, deviled egg style potato salad so mustard base and awesome. I also love their coleslaw, I hate almost everyones - either too sweet or overly peppery, and this one has a tangy twist that is delicious. Tasty sauce not too spicy or sweet. I always get disappointed getting BBQ from places with good meat but horrible sides. This place has the whole package and I will always make the drive to come here instead of going somewhere closer. No contest.

This place was fantastic! We had a large group of 16 with a lot of kids, and when we first walked in, we wondered if we should try to find somewhere else to eat (it seemed small and more like a bar atmosphere), but they immediately made us feel welcome and not like a problem so we stayed. And so glad we did! The service was wonderful and friendly. The food came out quickly, correctly, hot, and delicious. It was a great experience.

What a fun, quick and fantastic find. Great pulled pork. Tangy unique BBQ sauce. Perfect iced tea. Hot fries, okra and tender brisket, too. In and out in under an hour. Don't miss this lunch spot.

The owner was a very kind and gentle man, the white stuff was awesome. This is definitely a place that you don't judge a book by its cover as it does overshadow the quality of the food and the professionalism of the cook, wait staff and owner. Definitely would be a great place to extend maybe put a pool table in
