T-town Cafe

Just here for the veggies most days. Got the catfish today on a whim and from now on I’m dropping a veggie for this. My kids got shrimp, burgers and a grilled pimento cheese. Everything great. Nice and hot. 10-15 minutes for food. Nice waiter.
We sat outside on the back porch. Nice breeze today. Great experience.
Owner came by and checked on us. They’re opening for dinner very soon. We’re regulars on Saturday Brunch and they’ve starting serving MIMOSAS!!!! and drinks.

We had an exceptional dining experience at The Back Porch at T-Town Cafe last night! Our juicy steak burgers were customizable and cooked to perfection. We enjoyed every bite of the tender beef patties with our choice of toppings. Plus, we couldn't get enough of their crispy onion rings that complemented our burgers perfectly. Our server, Jacob, was fantastic! He was attentive and made fantastic recommendations. He encouraged us to try the sweet chili wings (they were perfect). The chef, Dustin, even stopped by to check to see how our food was. We felt really welcome and comfortable. If you’re looking for a new spot in town for dinner I would highly recommend this place! We plan on coming in for breakfast real soon!

The food at T-town cafe is amazing! I got a single order of biscuits and gravy, side of bacon and hash browns! I got my food to go and the cashier lady on the phone was so sweet! When I went to pay, she was so kind and helpful! If you are looking for great breakfast and lunch food this cafe is the place to go! The prices are great too!

Food was great. Pork chops and Catfish dinners for us. No room for dessert lol. Waiter told us Dinner with cocktails and a Real late night menu coming soon. Met the owner today. Very nice. They’re been updating the restaurant recently.

Excellent food, freshly prepared. Clean location with very friendly staff. Nice selection of entrees and sides. We had Fried Chicken Tenders, Pork Chops, corn, potato soup, fried green tomatoes, squash casserole, collards, okra and tomatoes and cheese biscuits and shared a piece of caramel cake for dessert. So very good!

We try and hit up the cafe for our Sunday after church lunches because there's not alot of meat & 3s out there that have good food. I always order the two porkchops plate with 2 sides which always great and my wife really enjoyed the blackened shrimp with 2 sides. We will definitely be back.

Eggs and bacon were cooked perfectly! In addition to that, the mimosa was DELICIOUS!

I had stopped going here as it always took so long for the food to come out, but decided to give it a try again yesterday and was pleasantly surprised. There is a new owner who is very hands on. Instead of ordering in line we were seated and someone took our orders. The food came out much faster, and the portion I received was about twice the size of the entrees under the previous management. I enjoyed my experience there, and will definitely be going back!

As I write this review it is November 2023. T Town is under new ownership and management and it’s markedly improved! Monday meatloaf did not disappoint, really good with just the right amount of tomato glaze and meatiness. The vegetables were excellent, the cornbread was moist and tasty and the staff were very friendly and welcoming. The new owner appears to be very hands on in both food prep and service. I will once again be frequenting T Town for lunch and breakfast. The owner said they will be starting a Saturday morning brunch and an evening dinner menu including prime rib which I will be trying as well. I usually don’t leave reviews for restaurants but I’m so pleased that T Town Cafe has been renewed and under new management. If the current quality holds, I predict much success! I highly recommend T Town Cafe.

T-town cafe is absolutely fantastic! I love the breakfast omelets. Definitely a must try if you are in Tuscaloosa. Also great service! Everyone is so nice and they are genuinely just good people.

Everyone was polite, courteous, and helpful. French fries were delicious and loved the fried green tomatoes. Nice outside seating.

Great place for a good meat & 2 or 3! Pork chops and catfish are excellent choices. Very friendly staff as well!

Had opportunity to to enjoy a breakfast at T-Town Cafe this am. Once again everything was excellent. Food was again right on point. Portion sizes are above average while prices are extremely affordable. Thank you Will, for another great experience.

After learning T-Town Cafe had a new owner and new management, my wife and I went for lunch. Many improvements to the interior and menu were evident. Was promptly greeted by server. No longer do you have to go thru line and order and then pay. You are now given a menu and server will take your order at the table. We both opted for the country fried steak with white gravy, hashbrown casserole and lima beans, while wife had fried green tomatoes. Food was quickly prepared and brought to the table. This is where the most noticeable improvement began. It has been over 50 years since I have had a totally in house prepared fried steak. The flavors with perfectly balanced as well as was the batter. The hashbrown casserole will make you want more, much better than Cracker Barrel's. New owner is planning to stay open in the afternoons, beginning in Jan. 2024. Also plans for Prime Rib coming soon. You need to try T-Town Cafe since the changes. You will not regret going. Thank you Will, for a most enjoyable experience!

Food is very good. New wait staff is getting used to using the order system, but very attentive.

Absolutely amazing food and staff! The new owner has done an exceptional job. Gorgeous new renovations and they switched to full service. Please go check out T-Town cafe. It is most definitely a hidden gem!!

Southern food delicious It's been grilled Catfish.6-12-22 tilapia in recipes today with water.

Haven't had any yet, will give it's a try. When I passed by it's so full of people's. So I've heard it's a great place to eat at. I will give it a try. Curbside pickup, first.

Authentic southern diner food. Had country fried steak with fried green tomatoes and French fries. Recommend. Would eat here again.

Grilled pimento cheese sandwich and okra was the best ever! Great value! Met the new owner... Wish you well. We enjoyed our experience.

One of the best burgers I've had in a long time!! I don't remember the name but this is the one with the house made pimento cheese. They perfectly buttered and toasted the buns as well. I recommend this place to any and every one that comes to town.
