Baumhower's Victory Grille

I was taken here for lunch today since it was my birthday. I ordered the grilled shrimp with wild rice and broccoli. My friend ordered the fried shrimp with curly fries, hush puppies, and coleslaw. He got a sweet tea that tasted like syrup. He ordered a glass of water to replace it. He told the staff it was my birthday, so after I had almost finished with my meal, they embarrassed me by singing Happy Birthday to me and giving me a basket of beignets with powdered sugar. They didn't have any taste to them. It was like eating powdered sugar on fry bread. I might have liked it a little bit more if it had chocolate syrup drizzled on top. So after two bites I set it aside. She brought our check and it still had the tea on it. So we pointed it out to her and she had it taken off. I still want to try their sandwiches. They had a lot of kids there today. So they must serve something that they like.

In town to visit my daughter and we usually eat at this location. The food is always good and, of course, we love the atmosphere. But I am leaving this review because of the outstanding service we received tonight, I would leave it more than five stars if I could. Candace was our server tonight and she was amazing. Very warm, genuine personality with an upbeat and positive attitude. We were having a late dinner, but you would have thought she was just beginning her shift. I spoke with the manager on duty, Jordan, before leaving to share my appreciation for the dining experience Candace had provided. After speaking with Jordan, I understand why the service is so strong, he is clearly a service oriented manager. We will definitely continue to frequent Baumhower’s and I hope that we are fortunate enough to be seated in Candace’s section again.

I am a foodie so I often gravitate to places local to the area I'm visiting. I had to get back on the road so I ordered to go. It took a little while over the estimated time for food to be prepared; HOWEVER, it was absolutely worth the wait! Food was great. While waiting on food, I had the chance to scope out the restaurant. The atmosphere was really cool. Seems like a great get together spot for food, drinks, game watching, & laughs. Only bad thing is (not on the restaurant's part), my daughter only ate half of her chicken wrap. Due to her falling asleep and holding her takeout box, her remaining food fell 💔. She was soo hurt because she was definitely pleased with the food. Unfortunately, we were 2 hours away by then 😔🤷‍♀. I will definitely be back when passing through AL.

Came down Alabama to visit the BFG plant. On our way to lunch, Dennis took us thru the university. It was an awesome experience.

What was even better was this place he took us to eat lunch. Baumhower's was great. From all the TV's showing all kinds of sports to the sports memorabilia and down to the food, it was great.

We shared the fried pickles. A distinct difference from the typical fried pickle at most places.

Then came the wings. They were possibly the best wings I've ever had. I ordered the Jamaican Jerk flavor. All I can say is they were awesome.

If I get to go back thru Alabama and there is a Baumhower's Victory Grill nearby, I'll be stopping.

Had dinner tonight after "Hey Coach" the restaurant had obviously been very busy prior to us coming in. But, that did not affect our service or dinner. Our server Momo was exceptional! She was very attentive and engaged in conversation when asked. She stayed on top of things yet didn't hover. The food was outstanding even though the night was no longer young. Everything was cooked perfect. From the hostess to the cooks to the server, we really enjoyed our night.
Running into Dont'a Hightower after our meal was an added plus 😊❤🏈

Candace is hands down one of the nicest and most professional waitresses that I have ever seen. She went out of her way to make sure our table was taken care off and was overall very positive. Despite it being close to closing she had as much energy as if they had just opened.

I had the most beautiful and amazing hostess/food runner, her name was Kayli. Such an incredible worker, truly the best I’ve ever met. The food was delicious as always. Can’t wait to go back and try more.

One of our favorite places in town! Morgan was an excellent server and spent time with our family (dining with two children). She even suggested a good time to come back and other delicious entrees to try!

The service was exceptional at the Tuscaloosa location. Food was delicious. Throughly enjoyed it. Best to hit them early to beat the lunch crowd. Arrived at 11:10am and no wait time whatsoever. Super friendly staff.

We ate at the Tuscaloosa restaurant today for the second time. Everything from the seating to food was great. Or server Logan Hinsberg deserves special note. He was personable and efficient and just generally a VERY NICE person. His presence made the meal much more pleasant. A hard working kid deserves special notice. My wife and I liked him.

Our first time visiting Baumhowers but definitely not our last! Great food and quality service. Our waitress was attentive and kind, and our food did not take long at all despite them being a little busy. All of our food was excellent! You HAVE to try their mozzarella cheese sticks, they make their own, and they are AMAZING. I ordered the OMG burger and it was absolutely delicious and cooked perfectly. I also ordered a victory punch cocktail and it was great as well. All around a great visit and we will be back for sure. Give them a try next time you're in town!

Mallory is the best waitress I've ever had in my life. We had a group of 11 and she was amazing. She didn't make a single mistake, was always smiling, and asking if we needed anything else every single time she passed by. It was our first experience there and we are definitely coming back, the food was delicious and I can't wait for my next plate. We had 24 tables in front of us and it only took them 10 minutes to get a table. I was really impressed. It was Outstanding, I wish there was one closer to where I live. Also there's plenty of TV's to watch the games and the wall decorations are so cool. I'd go back every day if I could

The food here is always good! Our server, Mallory took great care of us! The manager, Patrick walked around and checked on us to make sure we were good! He told me to say “he’s the worst” but he is truly the best! I’ll DEFINITELY be back!

On January 28th/ 2024, I went to Baumhower’s by academy sports and outdoors in Tuscaloosa and I ordered the large traditional wings buffalo mild! They were the best wings I have had in a long time!! The wing cook did an amazing job getting my order just the way I like it!! Thank you so much Baumhower’s it was worth every penny!!

Baumhowers always has great food and service. Even going on a busy Friday night before a big home game in Tuscaloosa, you'll still get great service and delicious food.

My server was Kim. She gave our table excellent service. She was very knowledgeable of the menu and provided great dinner suggestions for our meal. Kim is a very friendly and courteous server. I would suggest everyone to sit in her section. The Harper Lee Drive location has a great team of servers.

Baumhower’s Victory Grille has been the best wings place and it’s what I measure all other wings to. Once you have Baumhower’s wings you keep coming back. Hey COACH is held here each week and it’s pretty packed so get here early. The bar is really nice and the bartenders are all knowledgeable, nice and provide great service. If your in town for the game you definitively want to stop in and check it out.

Always reliable and consistent wings, burgers and more the whole family can enjoy. Extra shout out to attentive, personable service from Aarianna. Such a great server on last visit with my parents.

We had a great time here tonight. Patrick the manager is amazing. He took time with us and shared Nick Saban stories. The food was fresh and high quality. Grace gave us great service. We will be back. Guaranteed. Roll Tide!!

We had a great experience at this location! We came to eat wings & watch the Iron Bowl with friends! K. Wally was an awesome server! She worked hard to make sure we had everything we needed! She is definitely a hard worker!!
