The best soul food I've had I a long time

We were passing through and decided to stop here for a quick lunch. Food was great. We had the beef tips and fried pork chop. Sweet Tea was good too. 5 stars for the hospitality. Really nice folks.

Hole in the wall kind of joint. This is where you eat when you want a meat-n-3 where the food is made the old fashioned way instead of someone just opening a can.

Like eating at grandma's house in all the good ways. Food was excellent. Staff was friendly , sweet tea is very sweet, lemonade is good also.expect a busy lunch crowd. Baked chicken was delicious.

Very good food at a price that you can afford. I bought 2 plates for just under $20 and it came with beverages. The food was well seasoned but not overly seasoned. If you want a home cooked meal, but dont want to cook, give it a try. They close a bit early, 6 pm I believe.

3-4 years later and the taste is still the same. The elderly couple reminds you of family and friends gathering around with comfort food. My dishes remain the same. Hamburger steak, mashed potatoes and gravy with macaroni. However, I wait for my husband to get other dishes and just combine them. Lol. Tiny space that will remind you of home.

Best soul food/ meat-and-three joint in Tuscaloosa, by far! Though I preferred the charm of the old downtown KSV and its successor on the West End (which shared space with The Orchid nightclub), KSV2 on McFarland near the interstate has the same great food. It does not disappoint.
