I’ve been searching YEARS to find a great hair stylist. Skylar absolutely blew my expectations out of the park. I never care to write Google reviews but this one was a no-brainer.

A week ago I made the POOR decision to cut my own hair. She not only helped fix my mess of a cut (never again) but she brought me to my desired color in one session (absolutely no breakage).

If you struggle with neck/back issues - they also have neck-supportive hair washing chairs. Feels like you’re laying on a mattress. 10s across the board!

I had an absolutely fantastic experience at Lux Salon, all thanks to Margo! Her expertise in hair color and extensions is truly remarkable. Margo not only transformed my hair but also my confidence. She listened to exactly what I wanted and executed it flawlessly. My hair looks stunning, and the extensions blend seamlessly. Margo's professionalism and friendly demeanor made the entire process enjoyable. I can't thank her enough for the wonderful results. I'll definitely be returning for her services as I have been for over a year now. Highly recommend!

I previously tried a few barber shops, but then Covid happened and I wanted a place that was clean and neat. I was very happy to find Lux Salon in downtown Northbrook. It's convenient, and I usually walk there. David and Jeff are their men's hairstylists and I can certainly recommend both of them. They both do great work! With two stylists, it's much easier to get an appointment. David is new; I had my first cut with him today and he did not disappoint! I am impressed with his skill and attention to detail. He instinctively knew how to give me the look I want and how to work with my hair texture to get the best results with my longer hairstyle. I would say that some of the strongest points of this salon are cleanliness, professionalism, expertise, and quality of service. It was recently updated, and it looks nicer than ever. I have been looking for a hair stylist & colorist that I can stick with forever and that's exactly what I found here with Margo. She is amazing & did exactly what I wanted with my hair. Ever since coming here my hair is shinier and healthier than ever. The salon itself is stunning and has a great vibe. I even convinced my mom- who has been going to her old hairdresser for almost 20 years to come here and she fell in LOVE with it and now goes to Sarah for cut and color. I rarely ever fall in love with a salon this much but this one is a 10/10!

I had been looking for a new hairstylist because mine changed profesions and it's always so hard to find someone who cuts your hair just the way you like it, specially because I have such thick hair, they never seem to texturize it enough to make my head feel lighter. In my search a coworker, Carly, recommend this place. There was a mix up about scheduling times and I was reached out to see if I could go in at a different time, unfortunately with plans already made I was unable to but they were so accommodating and I was able to keep my appointment time. Jessi took great care of me and I couldn't be happier with my haircut! Most times when I go from long to short, stylists are afraid to cut too much and it's never the short length I was hopping for, but Jessi made sure that I left happy with they new style I chose for the fall/winter. Price was reasonable as well for the service I received and I was even able to Venmo Jessi a tip, as I never carry cash on me, so it was nice that they facilitated that option. I will definitely be coming back for my future hair care needs!

I have been going to Margo for the last 7 years and I’m super proud of her opening her own Salon with Sarah. Margo did my hair and makeup for my wedding and for multiple other formal occasions. I’ve seen Sarah while Margo was out on maternity leave and she did an amazing job. Both are excellent hair experts and you will be in good hands here.

Margo has also cut my 1 year old and 3 year old boys' hair and is very patient with children.

Margo is amazing! I have been a client since 2012 and she is my go-to girl. You will leave feeling and looking amazing every time. Whether it’s a trim or a new fresh cut/color I have never been disappointed. And if you’re not sure what you’re looking for, Margo has the patience, dedication, and skills to help you! I’ve loved every one of my hair styles and will definitely be coming back!

I just want to say that thank god I found this salon. They are so professional and just amazing. Clean and beautifully decorated. The staff is very friendly and attentive. Margo who did my hair was absolutely the best colorist she listened to me and did exactly what I asked for. I’m a very picky blonde when it comes to my hair. Best color I’ve had in years and my hair felt soft and beautiful after the service.

Margo is the bomb! I give her free reign over my color and cut. She’s really talented and really knows how to get that just right color. Her balayage technique is amazing. The salon is in a convenient location, clean and really beautiful. The chairs are the most comfy I’ve ever seen in a salon. Everyone there is so kind and the vibe is just happy and joyful. Highly recommend. Oh and by the way, Sarah is amazing too!!

This salon is amazing. My daughter highly recommended this salon to me- I was hesitant at first because I had been going to the same hair dresser for over 20 years. But coming here and seeing Sarah for my cut and color has been one of the best decisions I could have made for my hair. I have been trying to get this type of blonde for years and Sarah perfected it for me. I am so happy to be a client here- she is such a beautiful girl inside and out. I can't wait for the next time to go sit in her chair- she did everything she could to make me feel comfortable, she is a master at what she does.

All of the girls and Jeff are extremely friendly and go out of their way to male sure you walk out satisfied. On top of that the salon is very clean and takes all of the necessary steps to keep us safe during COVID-19 while making sure you look amazing.

Margo has been my go to person for all of my hair needs for years. She is the one who turned my hair from dark brown to light blonde without any damage. Margo has colored, cut, and styled my hair. She has also done my extensions, which are amazing and addicting! She is also great when it comes to recommending the right products for your hair. I ❤ The dry shampoo she recommended so much I make sure to have an extra bottle in stock.

Rather I walk in knowing exactly what I want or without any clue of what I want, I always walk out of Lux Salon super happy with the final result.

Have been going to Sarah for years. She has always gone above and beyond to make sure I love my cut and color- which I always have! She even did my hair for my wedding. Both Sarah and Margot are perfectionists behind the chair which is why they have such a strong following. Their new space is chic and relaxing. In a super convenient location with plenty of parking.

I have been going to Margo for years and just had my first experience at her brand new beautiful salon. Everything is adorable!! I live in the city and commute to Northbrook (sometimes even taking time off work) for Margo to do my highlights. Have been to multiple studios all over city and no one does my blonde as perfect as she does!

I have been using Margo for cut/color since day one!!! I’m the girl who shows up with no clue of what I want, and always leave EXTREMELY SATISFIED! Margo knows exactly what to do with my cut/color and makes sure I’m also following the season for my color 🤣. You also can’t go wrong with the location and the pristine salon. They go above and beyond to show every client how serious they are taking Covid-19. This salon has been a true gem since before the pandemic.

Margo is amazing at coloring my hair. I am super picky when it comes to what color of blonde I want. She always has great ideas and I leave happy every time. So lucky I found her! She is a true artist.

Made an appointment to get my hair done by Margo. Receptionist was very nice over the phone and easily got me set up in their system. Margo did an amazing job covering my roots along with some natural highlights! It's hard to find great service today and LUX salon went above and beyond.
